Negative experience: Nice facility but it’s the exact same gym as fit4less in Barrie (it actually has less equipment and smaller) yet they still charge GoodLife prices… doesn’t make sense but not many gyms around so likely why they chose to do it that way… supply and demand. Should not be priced as a GoodLife as it is a fit 4 less facility…. Staff are not friendly, don’t say hi etc.

Fantastic experience: Smaller gym with a bit of a confusing layout but got the job done.

Positive experience: It’s not the biggest GoodLife and reminded me of a Fit4Less I go to from time to time. There are no Men or Women change rooms rather individual change and shower stalls. No stream room or sauna as well. This said, the gym is very clean throughout and has everything you need for a good workout. The people I encountered who were working out were all very nice and the gym was not very busy at all when I did my workout on a late Saturday morning.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for about 4 years now and have seen a lot of managers come and go. The one person that I have seen that actually wants to be there and work is Beth. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. She has helped me numerous times when it came to the admin side of the house and is always polite and professional.

Negative experience: Not a single shower is ‘operating here’ very inconvenient when you have an agenda in town and your home shower is 30+ minutes away

Negative experience: Worst customer service possible. Over charges are common, and then to have your money refunded/account suspended causes many issues. Do not join this gym. Too many hassles

Positive experience: Great gym, clean environment and most of the staff are very welcoming. Would leave a fifth star if it weren’t for the clear judgment of other women in the gym coming specifically from the young female staff. Unfortunate to feel uncomfortable in this already vulnerable environment for many. This is coming from many other women as well and needed to be brought to attention.

Positive experience: I have been a member since the first opening day of this facility. I have liked it all along as a no frills gym with good equipment and friendly staff. I have found more lately that it is very crowded (even on non peak hours) and difficult to get a decent work out in, I feel they have sold a few too many memberships in the past year or so. If it was less crowded I would give a 5 star review, because after all the whole point of going to the gym is to get a good work out in.

Positive experience: Great gym in terms of facilities and space. not over-crowded ever. The main drawback is the advertisement of 24-hour gym, but there are many hours without staff. this is a problem if you forget your ID fob. The website should also advertise staffed hours.

Negative experience: I've been a member for a year now ,all was great until this new general manager was hired the place is disgustingly dirty the bases of all equipments are heavily dusty the showers and bathrooms not what they used to be when the other manager was in charge.i will be defiantly switching gyms soon

Positive experience: Decent gym but missing a few things, limited lockers, and they are very small, so most people don't even use them. Showers are OK if you use them in the morning, but they get dirtier as the day goes on with minimal cleaning to them, and they are always out of shampoo. Equipment is in good shape, and there are a decent amount of racks, free weights, and machines. I've been going to this gym for over 4 years, and I've yet to see any classes actually going on. I'm not sure they even have personal trainers. All and all a semi clean, decent equipped goodlife gym perfect place if you already know what you're doing.

Fantastic experience: Best Goodlife gym I have ever used. Spacious, well ventilated, and most important, friendly staff. Yes, the changerooms and locker areas can sometimes be a bit dirtier than in the past couple of years but most well used gyms are worse. We have also come out of pandemic standards where staff became cleaners. Unfair to them. I prefer that they save their energy for being attentive to members’ needs like safety, social interactions, issues with accounts and access, etc. I most appreciate the friendly hellos and genuine kindness. They go above and beyond when I sometimes request a TV channel so that i can follow a tournament while I am working out. That’s priceless service. The openness to diversity is also explicitly and implicitly displayed. Wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I'm out of town for work and I came here, very very happy with the result, great facility, good equipment, empty even on their "busiest" hour, front desk lady was very sweet and welcoming, plus a free workout for my first time, I will definitely be coming tomorrow.

Negative experience: Scanned and didn’t get the door moving on time to get in so I had to wait the 30 minutes. Called the # on the door for assistance and the person who picked up confirmed that no one was on staff to help me out on a weekend afternoon. 30 minutes passed and I scanned in properly this time to see a staff member working inside- which means that the person who picked up the phone was essentially useless and certainly did not provide the assistance as advertised on their signage.

Negative experience: I usually go later on at night like it is less busy then during the day it is a terrible place would definitely not recommend it to any one. Maybe go check out Owen Sound Fitness they definitely seem Like a better gym

Fantastic experience: This is the place to be if you are looking for the right gym! The staff are awesome, always a friendly greeting and readily available if you need help or have questions. GoodLife offers a huge space to workout comfortably even on a busier day. If you like to bench or squat there have several benches and racks so you don’t have to wait for a spot. They also offer a turf area for HIT training as well as tanning beds and massage chairs in the facility. Highly recommend making this your gym. Review written by - Darby Palmer

Positive experience: Good environment, not too busy. Small gym but very functional. Lockers are on the main workout area and there are private change rooms and showers. (3 showers available) No sauna. Class sizes are on the smaller side. The man working that day was very polite and welcoming - can’t remember the name though. Either way, recommend this gym for sure especially in the morning!

Positive experience: I'm a big fan of the GoodLife brand and travel to many different facilities throughout Southern Ontario; This one is where I live, so I go there often. The staff is amazing and there is never a wait for any of the equipment which is always in good repair. They are constantly cleaning and vacuuming the facility and equipment, definitely one of the cleanest and well maintained facilities I have been to. I rate it at 4 stars because of the shower and changerooms there. The showers are individual cubicles with a push button switch, so controlling the temperature and time of your shower is not an option. The floors are sometimes wet, but the staff seems to be mopping them dry more often now. The lockers are in the open part of the gym and there are benches in the changerooms, but since they are cubicles, seperate from the showers, there's no comfortable spot to get dressed after your shower. I have not seen this akward set up in any of the other locations I have visited and it leaves me wondering why these decisions were made when building this gym. Hopefully there will be a re-model at some point because with decent locker rooms, this would be an amazing gym.

Positive experience: Great staff The only issue with this location is Goodlife app bar code does not work to unlock the doors which means you need your bar code tag. If you leave the premise after tagging your self in make sure you don't have to come back again because the gates won't open for 30 mins and you might have to wait outside. They have done this to prevent people using the same pass multiple times.

Fantastic experience: Clean and orderly gym with helpful staff. Members are focused on workouts and not sitting on their phones while occupying machines. Smallest goodlife I've ever been to, but it has everything I need. Watch out for the rotating doors on the way in, they can be awkward.

Positive experience: It says 24 hours outside and is marketed like that but they close at 9pm. Its a great gym but why would you lie about the opening hours? The people are great and the equipment there is second to none but if you say 24 hours on the sign don't just close at 9pm.

Fantastic experience: I've always been impressed with this gyms organization and cleanliness both before and after this pandemic. That being said its the team that earned this 5 stars. I've been really impressed with this team and how friendly they continue to be during these uncertain times. Always welcoming and happy to answer questions sometimes even taking time our of their own workout to do so. I see people taking stars off for no towel service and timed showers, however these should really be a non factor with how great this team is. Personally I'd much rather use my own towel anyway then use one that everyone else has used. Timed showers also is something in almost every 24 hour gym to ensure water is not left running during staff hours. Not only smart but also environmentally friendly. Bottom line, this facility and team are fantastic, you would not regret joining this gym and they have earned all 5 of these stars in my books.

Positive experience: The only downside to this facility is the lack of towels, which is expected of most goodlifes located in smaller towns, and the inability to regulate shower temperature. Still, I’m very impressed by the size, cleanliness, and condition of this place. There’s tons of open machines even at the busiest hours, and everybody who goes to this gym is serious about it. It’s actually pretty crazy, not a single person there seemed like they went less than 5 times a week. A very motivating sight

Negative experience: Just weird that no one is addressing any issues mentioned here...was going to check it out but it's making me think twice.

Fantastic experience: the gym is empty at night, awesome to workout in. not too complicated for beginners, but a variety of more advanced equipment is available. no staff at night which if theres a problem with your card, theres no one to let you in.

Fantastic experience: It's a Great place to go, no matter what your fitness level or your age is. The team there are always very friendly and helpful. Facility is kept clean and in good repair. So stop thinking about it and go!

Positive experience: I'm docking two stars from my rating for the following reasons: 1. No towel service. I have not been to a GoodLife where this is even an option. I pay for towel service, I expect to have towel service at every GoodLife I go to. When asking for a towel, I was just told to "go to Giant Tiger next door and buy one for $4." 2. The showers. As many have stated before me, the shower is always dirty/has water on the floor and there is no way to regulate the water temperature. After a hard workout, I prefer a cooler shower (which would save the gym money) rather than getting blasted by almost scalding water. You have to give your members an option to regulate their own water temperature. Otherwise, the facility is great. Really clean, empty and weights are always in their place. Coming from the city this is pretty much a foreign concept to me and I love working out here on weekends. Finally, I don't mind that the showers are timed or that the change rooms are awkward. Give us a way to regulate the temperature of the shower and towel service and you'll have an easy 5 star rating from me.

Positive experience: Went in to take a look and have a your of the facilities. Overall looks like a good gym with lots of space and its clean. The price for membership however i felt was way out of range for this marketplace.

Negative experience: $50 a month to be denied access by gate after staff hours. Said welcome after scanning my card once, although the gate never unlocked. Then it wouldn't accept my card again because of the silly 30 minute in and out rule even though it never let me in.

Negative experience: Planned on working out while visiting OS for the weekend. Reached out to customer service on Friday as I was a GoodLife member but forgot my pass. Did not hear back....for the entire weekend - paid to go to the YMCA.

Fantastic experience: Good, clean and new facility. Lots of machines, should not find waiting for a machine. Does not have the range as others, but it is a smaller place. Also, make sure to have your membership RF scanner set up if going after hours. Also, no towel service and there is no temperature adjustment in the timed shower. Other than these first world problems, great, clean place with friendly staff!

Positive experience: Very concerning that there is no staff in the evening. Should you have an emergency ie..heart attack,slip and fall, twisted ankle etc.. you are on your own. Not a good business decision for this company.

Fantastic experience: Best gym experience to date. Holly was the lady working at the front counter and she was so helpful and lovely to deal with, she’s very personable and has great customer service skills! Loved the gym itself as well, plenty of machines and very clean!
