Fantastic experience: Great Gym. Ty is always accommodating and always puts the customer first. Lots of work out options and Shay is a great manager and excellent trainer. If you're looking for a gym you won't find anywhere better.

Positive experience: love the gym, only con is how long it takes to get service sometimes. i had to stand at the shake bar for nearly 10 minutes before the teenagers sitting on their phones at the front desk realize i’m there. when the adults are working the service is usually very quick, but most of the time it is teenage boys working and it takes a very long time

Fantastic experience: I am new to Penticton. Before coming to The Gym Eternal, I was going another gym in town that simply put, wasn’t very great. Coming to The Gym Eternal was like a breath of fresh air after that! They have every piece of equipment you may need from push, pull, legs, abs, cardio… you name it, and they’ve got it (x2)!! Super impressive gym, it’s not usually too crowded and there is tons of space! It’s clean, and the affirmations on the walls are such a nice little detail . Five stars deserved!

Positive experience: I'd recommend this gym to anyone. The one thing I really wish they would include would be towels. A quality gym like this deserves towels. Paper dispensers are a bit of a nightmare. Sure you could bring your own but its a just a nice detail the other chains offer thats . Overall enjoy my experience thus far. The juice bar is clutch if you forget your pre workout.

Fantastic experience: Visiting from Edmonton . This might be the coolest gym that I have ever been into . It is huge . Has the most equipment that I have ever seen . And the staff and members are very friendly . A 5 out of 5 in my books .

Fantastic experience: Renewing my pass at The Gym Eternal felt like coming home. I’ve been to almost every other gym in town and Eternal has always been my favourite due to owner and staff. The cleanliness of facility is a priority to staff and morale of members is welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Started at this gym about 5 years ago after trying many in town and have never been disappointed. Excellent group of staff that are always willing to help and give advice when asked. The gym is kept clean and up to date with lots of equipment even during busy times.

Positive experience: The gym itself is pretty nice. Not sure why other reviews call it dirty, it seemed pretty clean to me. Only two "complaints" - they don't stay open particularly late, and it sometimes feels like I'm getting off work, rushing over there, doing half a workout, and then having to shower before they close. Other note is that some of the staff are great, but some just aren't. Literally all my membership info was input incorrectly except for my payment info and the kid behind the counter seemed like he wasn't really paying much attention at all. But all in all, it's a good spot with a good atmosphere, and locally owned.

Negative experience: Yeah this gym has great equipment but the service was so bad, as well as the atmosphere, not even the cardio view could bring me back to this gym. No follow up of trial period, no tour, just assume everyone knows everything first time in, including the parking. For the money, skip this gym and try another one of Penticton's many locally-owned fitness studios.

Very comprehensive gymnasium with attention to details, Saunas, vitamin D lighting, filtered water (includes showers) (the drinking fountain has some of the best tasting water I have ever had). Air purification system in place, competitive rates and a GREAT atmosphere to work out! Also has underground free parking. Very easy to get addicted to working out when you use this place and how cool is that!

Whenever he is there, he’s always willing to help people out with anything they need or just a friendly hello, which for some people can really boost their confidence. Fantastic experience: If you are looking for the best gym in Penticton, you could go around and try them all out but let me save you the time. This is it. This Gym is hands down the most well equipped, and has the best staff and trainers to match. Despite being the obvious choice for serious lifters and athletes, the community here seems to leave all ego at the door which makes it a super welcoming and positive environment to come and better yourself. It's a great mix of young, old, seasoned, and gym newbies. Super awesome gym. Join and you won't regret it.

Negative experience: Grubby. Poor choice of machines and equipment. No adherence to covid protocols. I'm not sure if/when they clean this place.

Negative experience: This gym owner has a complete lack of integrity and does not care to run his business in alignment with his actual views. I spoke with him personally and know for a fact that he does not agree with any of the government mandates relating to masks and vaccines, says he believes in freedom of choice and bodily autonomy, yet chooses to bend over and implement proof of vaccine requirements on members. They feel this is a “personal issue” for the individual and that it’s not a small businesses responsibility to stand against something they do not believe in. Absolutely weak, cowardly and spineless to choose to not use their voice against measures that they know are a very real threat to our freedoms. This will not end well for them.

Negative experience: The Gym has great space to carry out all aspects of a workout and the equipment is in pretty good shape. I found the staff not very helpful or personable. I was not shown around when I signed on and felt too much ego coming off the experts.

Negative experience: Dirty, lack of maintenance on machines. It basically looks like the owners gave up. Not a good place to workout whatsoever. I was a member here from day 1 of opening and loved the atmosphere when Troy was owner. Every square inch was cleaned everything ran smoothly When the new owners took over things changed and things have taken a dive ever since. Equipment is dirty and so is the facility. I even spoke with the owner in 2016 regarding the state of the facility and he failed to take ownership of the issue and blamed his staff and their new system for the issues I wrote the original review in 2016, and it took the owner 4 years to respond, and their response was “our records show you have never been here”. There is still no accountability in 2020, clearly. PURE fitness in the lakeside is by far the superior fitness facility in Penticton. Friendly staff, great owners, great equipment and spotless workout areas.

Fantastic experience: I was intimidated initially as its the biggest gym in town. But I quickly felt comfortable here. The gym has lots of different areas to train in. Prices are right on point.

Fantastic experience: I just have to start by saying how disgusted I am with the post by "North Duo". You should be ashamed of yourself. I am overwhelmed by the generosity from this gym. During COVID the gym stopped taking my monthly payments from my bank account and paused my membership. When they re-opened I was shocked to learn they actually added time back onto my membership that I missed due to them being closed...for ALL members at no cost to me. In all my life I have rarely seen a business treat its customers with so much thought and compassion. We're all going through tough times and I can only imagine how stressful it has been for small businesses to keep afloat. I would recommend this gym to anyone, not only for being fair, but for being a great place to workout.

Positive experience: Recent resigned member but came to this facility when it was brand new. Good variety of equipment and lots of space to work out. Good ab area and diverse cardio options. Front counter staff is friendly and manager is very nice. It would have been nice to receive a training session or at least an orientation when I signed up for the year and my review would be 5 stars instead of 4.

Positive experience: Visiting Goodlife member looking for a good gym for a couple days. Drop in rate was reasonable, smallish floor space but not crammed, machines were clean and well maintained. Jacobs ladder was the best one I have ever used. Stair climbers are older tho. Very happy to have found this gym and would definitely be back.

Negative experience: Dishonorable business. Be careful! I wanted this to be a positive review, but it isn't. I had a member ship at the gym when the previous owners ran the place. Loved it. But after a car accident I was unable to use the gym for years and lost all the $ I'd spent on the year. Upon returning years later, Ty offered me a discount for another year which I really appreciated. But when I moved away only halfway into my membership they wouldn't refund any of it. So that "great deal" ended up costing me a ton. Be wary. DO NOT pay in advance. The only reason the gym is surviving is because the competition in town isn't great either.

Positive experience: I really enjoyed going to this gym during my time living in the Okanagan. I honestly miss it now that I'm back to the community gym life in Vancouver. The staff were always super friendly! This gym has a pretty good selection of free weights, weight machines, and cardio machines to choose from depending on what you focus on. On non busy days it's really equipment is usually pretty accessible. I didn't really like the floor plan of the gym. When it gets busy it's hard to find a place to place a mat down and stretch and sometimes. For example when people are using the punching bag in the exercise room or deciding to do walking lunges back and forth the room. Also, it can be frustrating when waiting to use a squat rack as there are no sign up times to use it so people can use them for as long as they like. It can be intimidating to approach some gym users (the really beefy big folk, sorry!) to ask if you can use the rack/machines after them. Pricing is pretty good for the gym if you're a student or if you purchase a month to month membership. Otherwise, drop-ins will burn a hole in your wallet.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Delicious protein shakes. Some unique machines that really make you sweat! The Helix Lateral Trainer is awesome - works your core, glutes, outter thigh and more awesome machine. Jacobs ladder, ropes, the premium stairmaster to name a few more awesome pieces. Staff are great, knowledgable and friendly. Can be crowded if you come at prime time but that's like any gym really.
