Anytime Fitness Okotoks

Fantastic experience: I am new to this location but a long-time user of AF. It's a very clean and tidy gym. I was amazing to see how quiet it is every time I go.

Positive experience: The gym is always very tidy and has a great atmosphere and good lighting. The gym could have more amenities and equipment but only so much is possible with limited space. Gym is rarely too busy outside of 7pm Monday - Thursday. This gym is a great place for beginners to intermediate lifters but advanced lifters may feel limited by the equipment selection

Fantastic experience: We were traveling from the US and was having trouble with our fob. Mason listened and jumped right in to find a solution. Before we left the gym, she had found some help and our problem was solved! BIG thanks to MASON for her outstanding customer service and support!! She’s wonderful!

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a couple months now and let me start by saying I am in no way shape or form a gym person, I’m not athletic, and I decide to go to the gym for my mental and physical wellbeing. Jennifer was truly amazing, very professional and friendly. She made me feel like I could be comfortable and safe at the gym without the worry of being judged. The gym is nice, peaceful, quiet, never too busy even during peak hours. Ie: After school/work. Love how it’s 24/7. Gym is amazing and the staff are very friendly!

Positive experience: People are cool and gym is usually pretty clean. Gym could use a proper bench and a CrossFit bar would be nice. There’s no normal bar to use for multiple purposes that is high enough off the ground. Just one normal monkey bar would be enough.

Fantastic experience: Great gym!!! Staff (Jenn) is amazing. Clean gym with everything you need. Whether beginner or advanced this gym offers a wide range of free weights and machines. Also lots of cardio options to fully round out your workout. Very warm and inviting atmosphere. This gym has allowed me to come back to the workout world and not feel out of place. Also, Alberta (Calgary/Okotoks) owned business versus big US conglomerate.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Anytime Fitness at the Okotoks Location since it opened ( 10 +/- ) years. I have been to 100 + Anytime Fitness all over North America due to working in different provinces and states. This location is by far the cleanest and well run gym I have come across to date. With me being at so many locations throughout the globe, This gym should be the one you must go to to start your fitness goal or just to see how a gym should be ran. Cheers

Fantastic experience: The low ceiling kind of makes it feel cramped inside. It needs more purple inside for an Anytime Fitness. Would work out here again. Very convenient.

Positive experience: Like the facility, a bit expensive, manager is pushy. Called me while i was at work to complain about my shoes in a cubby. My brother in law grabbed my fob and used it accidentally as we live together - both members - got an email about that being reprimanded.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful gym. Very well equipped with towels and sanatizing spray bottle. Lots of equipment and super clean. I was there at 730am on Saturday and I had the gym to myself for the entire workout. That is a refreshing change for the crowded AF in Vancouver. Nice! I wish that I could stay longer in Okotoks but just passing by on the way home to Vancouver. Congratulations AF team for the best AF that I have been to across Canada. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: This location is always clean and well maintained. The staff are on the top of their game, always friendly and readily avaliable to provide assistance or answer and questions.

Negative experience: The gym is clean and nice community gym BUT some staff don’t know their job and don’t give accurate info when it comes to cancellation. I had my account on freeze due to an injury, went in with more than 30 days in advance to cancel. Employee didn’t get me to sign anything just said “I have your fob we can take info from there” I was well in advance of thirty days because he said I would still have to pay $10 for May to freeze account. To my surprise I was charged full whack for June of $73! Upon calling the owner I was informed that you can’t cancel when account on freeze! Maybe it said that in my contract from a year ago but the employee should have reactivated me at that time and cancelled as of that day. None of which was done he just did nothing and they went ahead and charged me. VERY disappointed.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional previous owner scammed multiple customers out of their money and ran far away, still to this day I have not received my refund and like many others you’re better going elsewhere with the reputation this gym has.

It is a friendly gym which I enjoy and is kept very clean which is very important now with the re opening of gyms since the plague of Covid 19!!

Negative experience: Shady business practices. Find a gym who is willing to communicate with you and not lie and treat you like garbage.

Negative experience: This place has ripped off so many innocent people. Between the people who finished the interior of the place, defaulting on their rent and then stealing from random customers and refusing to refund their wrongs. Shameful place, go to motion fitness instead.

Negative experience: Went in to ask about potentially joining and it screamed money grab to me. The guy was pushy and didnt actually seem interested in my questions. Wanted me to sign up right then and there. Absolute garbage. Do not reccomend. Also, why are there so many 5star reviews all in the same time frame? Seems extra sketchy.

Negative experience: So unbelievably unimpressed with this gym. My fiance and I got together and hold the door for one another not thinking it was an issue due to the fact we are BOTH members! Which they were both very aware of because the shut down both out fobs for almost a week and only reactivated them once they stole 250$ from EACH of our accounts with out concent! 500$ gone right before Christmas over something we were not even aware was an issue! Pathetic company. Luckily I work in customer service and will be telling all my clients how anytime "takes care" of there members.

Negative experience: An absolute joke, I have been going to this gym for 4 years. Referred many people to get a membership there. Both me and my fiancé have full memberships to this gym and never missed a payment once. Both our key fobs got “deactivated” for holding the door for one another. Even though we have been doing this for years. Ok no worries I can see how they may see it as letting a non member in. Even though they looked her up seen she had a membership and blocked both our cards same day ?? Then they had the audacity to charge us BOTH a fine of 250 dollars EACH 2 weeks before Christmas. And getting ahold of anyone is near impossible. Complete and utter thieves

Would highly recommend getting a membership and if you are looking for guidance In your workout journey. I would look at talking to Jeff.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new gym and had tried out a few and heard amazing reviews about Anytime so I thought I'd try it out. From the 1st day it felt like my new gym home...Jeff 1st off made me feel so welcome, there was every piece of equipment I needed, and no wait times for machines.

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately this place just went out of business yesterday (December 28, 2019). It was a fantastic gym with great staff and I am super sad too see it go.

Fantastic experience: I've worked out at a lot of gyms and this is by far one of the best. No waiting for equipment like some of the other gyms in town, clean and doesn't smell like a gym. I got a sweet deal on the yearly fee with an extra 3 months. I also like that I can go to other AF gyms which will come in handy when I'm travelling for business. Jeff the manager was easy to deal with and the new classes thy have added are a bonus.

Fantastic experience: Love this location. Always clean and the management is so friendly and helpful! I moved out of town and there is no longer an anytime fitness near by, but I have kept my membership just so I could continue going to this location when I come back to the city :)

Positive experience: Good location and good selection of equipment

Negative experience: 2 of us joined up the middle of June. We were told that we could leave our gym shoes there in the provided cubbies. The woman that signed us up told us we could leave our shoes there indefinitely and even told us a story of a client that had left his shoes there for over a year and they were still there when he came back. We took 2 months off at the end of the summer and returned to find that our new Adidas Alphabounce shoes had been donated. They posted a poorly hand written poster on October 17th stating that anything left over one week would be donated. They could have emailed their clients to warn them and we would have been there in a flash to remove our shoes. Who knew the facility would be the ones to steal our shoes. Upon speaking with someone (who didn't identify himself and was very adversarial) on the phone they said it was their policy to have the cubbies as day use only (nothing was posted stating this), so either he's a liar or the lady who signed us up is a liar. Considering there were dozens of the same shoes there consistently I expect he was just making up stories. The contract also states nothing about their "day use only" policy.

Positive experience: Clean, a bit pushy to get your money. Ask about getting someone to help me with a plan/help with equipment and was discouraged from using their trainer and was told to use their app, so I was on my own. So went to a different gym (who was very helpful).

Negative experience: Applied on January 20 but cancelled the same day. Cost was 157.47. The lady who applied me couldnt cancel or refund my money so they told me to contact ABC Financial which i did from the cancellation day. I waited patiently for their reply but still nothing.Its been 2months now and its frustratjng. No reply and no refund. Doesnt look like they like to refund my money. This place is a scam. Told my friends to leave when they can because for that price Goodlife actually have staff at all time and they dont Scam you. Wish i could give zero star but they dont let you write zero star review. Dont tell me to call you cuz i have and you only gave me an answer"let me ask headoffice" and didnt give me reply at all even though i asked for reply on the 12th. Check your april first message.

Fantastic experience: They have a complete set of equipment for both my strength training and cardio, and I find they are always well serviced. I've experienced places where the equipment needs lubricated or maintenance and know the frustration so I really appreciate just getting into my routine and working out as expected. I normally work out outside of staff hours, but the few occasions I met with staff they were very positive and helpful. I felt encouraged and value that interaction. I recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing gym. I have never been to a cleaner gym in my life. Everytime I walk in the door it smells freshly cleaned... lemony fresh! The place is immaculate! The equipment is all top of the line and brand new. They update the gym all the time to add extras that definitely don’t go unnoticed. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in this facility and is always open to suggestions and ideas. The staff is exceptional as well. Always a smile and super friendly. The music is even great! I don’t have a bad word to say about my amazing Anytime Fitness in Okotoks, Alberta! I would recommend anyone and everyone to this gym.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing bad at all to say about this gym! The facility is always clean and taken care of, and the people who work for the business have been efficient in helping (Larissa), and very knowledgeable. I had an issue with an outstanding bill on my account that was not allowing me to use my fob to enter the building, the outstanding balance was not supposed to be there, and Larissa and another man fixed the issues within 30 minutes of being in contact with them with no hesitation. Wonderful business, wonderful people as well!

Fantastic experience: Great facility, very clean and the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. I was given a thorough tour when I started my trial, and once I joined the manager, Larissa, showed me how all the machines worked. She was very knowledgeable, motivating and friendly. The overall environment is very relaxed and I feel safe no matter when I come in which is very important to me. I would definitely recommend this facility!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at AnyTime Okotoks for about 4 months and I love it! The gym is really well equipped. It is always clean .And the staff are very friendly. I also like that I can visit other AnyTime locations when I travel for work.

Positive experience: Love the small gym and that it's not always staffed and can come whenever you want. The lady in the supplement department is so lovely to talk to! Only complaint is that there aren't enough change rooms/showers, too often in the mornings post workout getting ready for work the bathrooms are backed up - hopefully there will be a solution in plan as the gym gets more popular! Otherwise love this gym and the free tanning ;)

Fantastic experience: I've been to a few different Anytime Fitness facilities across Canada. This one is by far the nicest! Way better layout, machines, and eye appeal than my home Anytime gym in Chestermere.
