Fantastic experience: Was visiting near Nelson and decided to drop in. Was a bit chaotic getting into the first class, since the schedule on the wall near the door was outdated (the one online had the correct start time). Also the Thursday was marked Gi but was no Gi. Also I'm used to more of a IBJJF rule set while Thursday class started with survival moves (blocking strikes from closed guard to transition to arm bar). Went back on Monday for the only Gi class per week and enjoyed it a lot. Learned more ways to take back from top on turtle. The warm up rolling around was interesting too, will try to drill that more once I return to the city. Vibe was less formal than I'm used to from Gracie Barra but it still had a good cameraderie vibe, helpful / passionate instructors and yeah would/will go again

Fantastic experience: I have been to many martial arts gyms in the past decade, and this one has been by far one of my favourites. I felt right at home after my first night of training here, and I will continue to train here for as long as I am in Nelson.
