Fantastic experience: I've had nothing but fantastic experiences at this gym over the years. The owners are incredibly responsive and genuinely care about people. Whenever I have a question or need assistance, they address it quickly and effectively. I trust them completely with any advice they've offered. Their knowledge about fitness and training is extensive, and they’re always willing to offer helpful recommendations or modifications. The supportive and attentive atmosphere makes this gym stand out in Nanaimo. Highly recommend Dolly and Pat for anyone looking for guidance and responsive owners/trainers.

Fantastic experience: As a plus size woman going to the gym can be intimidating...NOT at Dolly's!! It's the one place that I have felt my very best while getting a sense of community. It's environment SAFE for EVERYONE..... It's CLEAN...well layed out...EVERY muscle gets a turn lol If you're looking for an actual gym vs a fitness center... Dolly's is your home!

The sense of community, the support cleanliness and dedication of the staff are paramount. Everyone in there, cares. Dolly and Pat especially, are wonderful people with big hearts and always available to lend an ear or offer advice.

Positive experience: Dollys Gym was a cool experience for three great reasons. First - the owner - Dolly - was very friendly. It was wonderful talking to someone about everything and nothing, just chatting like old friends - I am convinced she treats everyone the same way. Second, the aura of the place was welcoming. It definitely had thar Ol' School feeling. The equipment was very aged - and yet very practical. There wasn't a muscle left out in her gym equipment for body scultping/strengthing. Third , the Drop-In price is well placed ($10), and the view of the sunrise from her back door is absolutely stunning.

Fantastic experience: As a powerlifter I found this place to have very sufficient equipment for my needs. They even have a few specialty bars. The owners are really friendly and the day passes & punch cards are incredibly affordable. The machines are clean, the environment is chill and gives off a local vibe, & the bathrooms are sparkling. Thanks for such a warm welcome to train here during my visit!

Positive experience: Rlly enjoyed the atmosphere. It's not a huge gym. Dolly is great. Does not have all the space or equipment i personally use, but I would say it's still great and clean. Rlly good power lifting supplies.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here regularly for over 3 years and got in the best shape of my life. Dolly and Pat have helped me so much on my health journey. This gym is for everyone, not just powerlifters or bodybuilders. The community of awesome people, affordable plans, equipment and everything else make it so addicting to come back to every day and hold myself accountable to stay on track and push myself harder and achieve more than I thought I was ever capable of. Endless gratitude for Pat and Dolly and this gem they've brought to the downtown community!

Fantastic experience: This is not a "gym" there are no classes etc...like a regular gym. This is an excellent training facility if you want to be the best in your sport and/or build muscle these guys will get you there! This is a very special training place and I appreciate all they do!

Fantastic experience: While this gym is a bit smaller than the gyms im used to, I still freaking love this gym as a powerlifter. It's got all the cool stuff one would use for the main lifts and accessory lifts. It has a hardcore vibe and I am all in for that! Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Thank you so much to Pat & Dolly for creating such an incredible space to stay healthy, get fit and be real I’ve lived in a few big cities and attended many different franchise style gyms… and I can say hands down… I have NEVER felt as comfortable and as welcomed as I do when I walk into Dolly’s! Another HUGE bonus… is Pat.. took time out of his day to answer my email and send me a workout program designed for his gym- his equipment and offers support while you are there! Honest- good hearted- well intentioned SUPPORT! Pat and Dolly make sure to run their gym like their members are family! My hubby and I are so happy to have found this gym and community! Thanks Pat + Dolly- you are definitely appreciated!

Fantastic experience: Dolly's has been always good to me ever since the beginning. Even with covid, the staff have been extremely professional and enforced any new rules or policies through social media, their website, and also in person. The only time I have seen any of the staff outside of the front desk is for equipment and open space maintenance or assisting athletes with any questions. Dolly keeps a sense of community and well being to everyone who comes in so please follow the rules and we can all continue to workout at our favourite gym in town!

Fantastic experience: This one of the best gym's I have ever been in. Nothing like Planet Fitness or most gyms, you do not have to be super quite. Yes to grunting and loud music, my favorite music too. They have a punching bag, Dolly's gym honours true power and true athleticism.

Negative experience: I got a punch card when it was Jimmy-buffet gym. They were taken over by Dolly's and they will not honor that previous purchase. You'd think a business taking over another would take liability. Disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Came here while my other gym was being rebuilt. Incredible atmosphere here, the equipment is great. Ownership really treats this like this was a life-long dream... even the small details show that they care far beyond making money... worst thing I did was leave to return to my old gym to grind out my contracts remaining months! I’ll be back next month for sure and I’m stoked about it!

Fantastic experience: I feel like DOLLY'S gym is the best gym in nanaimo and I've been to all of them at some point. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They are powerlifting friendly but also accomadating to all levels. I also appreciate that it is one of the few gyms in town without a sign up fee. They have very competitive membership rates without having to sign a long term contract. I definitely would recommend DOLLY'S to any one looking for a new gym

Fantastic experience: I went today for the first time because my gym is under renovations. The owner is so into lifting. While there he was helping a woman squat, helping another person use various machines and helped spot me during my last set of flat bench as I was used to a cage. Its nice to see a gym where the owner is so passionate about lifting. You don't see that much in gyms these days.
