Fantastic experience: I love going to the YMCA Stoney Creek. I usually attend the group active, group power and using gym equipment. I would recommend YMCA to others to join.

Positive experience: The YMCA is a great spot for younger kids, offering a variety of amenities like a swimming pool, library, and an engaging treehouse area. It’s a convenient space for families. However, some staff members seem less equipped with strong customer service skills and can come across with a bit of attitude, which detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, the facility is becoming increasingly crowded as more programs are added. While it’s good to have options, it sometimes feels like the space is overstretched. The design could also use improvement. For example, you need to swipe your card for access to the change room and to use the locker, but if you then head to the hall or library, you’re left without an access card. There isn’t always someone available to assist at the gate, which can be frustrating.

Positive experience: It was ok.In the basketball gym, there was somthing called the open gym.there were a lot of bullys. I mean a loooooot of bullys. A bully swore at my kid. but the liberey was good, the swiming pool was good and the gym was good.I had not been there in a long time.

Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly and helpful. They worked hard to help in any way they can. It has made a big difference to my overall physical and emotional health.

Positive experience: We use most of these top-notch facilities including the amazing Library. The librarians are super helpful and patient. The pool is usually crowded so we just avoid it.

Negative experience: More expensive than Hamilton YMCAs and worse. Their website is laggy, memberships overly complicated for no reason, trying to get in contact to cancel a membership is terrible. If you are used to other YMCA organizations dont try going here. Classes only on weekdays and hard to get in to. Insane to pay what they are asking for weekday swim classes.

Fantastic experience: They so friendly and helpful for my kids. As a family we like to spent time in the swimming pool together.

Fantastic experience: This is a community center centrally located and equipped for the family. Like literally, the entire family can head on out and enjoy a fully day. The center has on location a full service library, a pool for both beginners and experienced swimmers, a gym, and an area for basketball, etc. There is also an indoor walk path that is ideal for colder periods when it is hard to navigate your favorite trail. The changing rooms/bathrooms are equipped with lockers, bathrooms and are very clean. I admire the fact that the change areas are not wet and messy. Participants appear to be very considerate of each other. The swimming pools has life guards on duty and they are very alert. To get started at the center, walk up to the information area that is in the center of the room and begin the process. It is quick and easy. There are other little niche areas on location such as a coffee and pastry area. They have a huge parking. Also across the road is a mini shopping zone. Those of us who have to take the bus, bus#19 gets you to the Stoney Creek Community Center. I could say so much more about this location as there is alot to do and say but all in all, it is a great location for the whole family to spend the day at without being bored.

Fantastic experience: Great place and not usually busy. Swimming. Basketball. Running / walking track. I’m sure there is lots I missed but if you’re in the area go check it out. Oh there is a library there too in case you want to chill

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility. I have been coming here for years & it’s always had such a great reflection on my life! Throughout the years add more additions to the gym & their facility. I mainly come here for basketball & working out. But they have various amounts of activities for kids & older adults!

Negative experience: Not a terrible gym but there’s way too many high school kids. Hard to get a decent workout in when there is 4 or 5 kids standing around each machine on their phones and talking.

Negative experience: Went to swim. Got there and they said the pool was closed even though the website said it was open.

Positive experience: Facilities are great, but if you ever want to call this YMCA you will never get a live person.

Negative experience: Rat in the swimming pool area - Disappointing Experience at Stoney Creek YMCA I've been a member at this YMCA and loved it until today: On December 27th, I purchased a membership for my mom for the swimming pool. On the same day, she was resting at the boarder of the adults pool, and there was a mouse running between the kids' pool and the adults' pool! I requested a full refund the next day, but to my surprise, the manager charged my card AGAIN. I went back and expressed my concerns, and they refused to refund either charge. When I insisted on a refund, the manager questioned me. I explained that having A RAT in the swimming pool area, especially with elderly and babies present, is extremely dangerous due to diseases like hantavirus, leptospirosis, lymphocytic choriomeningitis (LCMV), Tularemia, and Salmonella. The response was shocking; the manager mentioned THEY WERE AWARE of the issue but claimed THEY CAN'T CONTROL MOTHER NATURE! Additionally, I want to highlight that the manager stated she doesn't go to my house, insinuating the presence of a rat. In response, I emphasized that, unlike the YMCA, my house is not a public place. This viewpoint raises concerns, as prioritizing public safety and health should be imperative. If the YMCA is aware, the swimming area should be closed until the problem is completely resolved. There was even a family with a 4-month-old baby heading to the swimming pool while we were discussing this—where is the accountability?

Fantastic experience: I love the the fact that there's Creative drop programs for the kids! also the swimming pool is super clean, it doesn't cost TOO much for everything that you get plus they gotta pay their staff am i not right?! Anyways there's a lot of facility options and that's what i like! sometimes they close for a day for lifeguard training but that just means that they care for the lives of their clients! i also like the opportunity in the gym! i've only been in once to try it out- it was good! i've had the ymca card for 2-3 years and i don't regret!! Definitely would recommend trying it out again!!

Positive experience: I like the community centre gym swimming and all but library i don recommend to those who likes to read in silence or peace . There is too much noise . People are talking on cell phones so loudly , children are playing . Its a gud library for children lik a fun park with books but for adults its a big no.

Negative experience: Considering moving to London and thought I'd check out this branch. A friend of mine who's with goodlife came up to meet me and check out the place. Although they said I could use the facility, they said this location doesn't offer guest passes?why just this one?? we'd have to go to a different location. Well here we are at centre branch, both late for work. He's probably not going to join.

Positive experience: This place should have free charging at their EV station for YMCA members. If the komoka ymca can do it free of charge so can this one, especially when a family membership isn't cheap.

Negative experience: They used to open at 5:30 which was ideal for people who worked at 7am. Now it’s a 6am open making it less convenient. Also the enhanced adult membership is $42.50 bi weekly. $892.50 yearly which is insane.

Fantastic experience: Signed up for a membership recently and so impressed with this location! It's so clean, smells amazing, and has lots to offer.

Fantastic experience: Friendly patrons and staff. The YMCA has a "treehouse" with slides and a padded climber that my son loves! There is also a library where you can rent trains to play on the train table, the Library is closed on Sunday and Monday. Often there are other children for him to play with. Great activity center for a rainy day, there is something for everyone including free wifi and a coffee shop.

Negative experience: What's the point of having a swipe card in order to go into the adult change room if people just wait outside for someone else to walk out and they go in??? Nobodys watching. Also after school, I get of the positive of teenagers working BUT it's a complete zoo, no staff doing walk around, tik tok teens holding up equipment... Staff needs to do better.

Positive experience: I go to the gym a lot and it’s is decent and the staff are friendly but all of the machines are old and I feel they need to upgrade them into newer models. The gym can also be very crowded.

Fantastic experience: We had a great Sunday afternoon at the YMCA. We got a family day pass and took advantage of the basketball court and the work out equipment. We will definitely come back again!

Negative experience: Cancelled our membership on the 14th of the month as we were moving out of London. They billed us for the 15th to the 30th and told us this was because their bill had already gone through. On the 1st I find they billed us again!!! They cancelled the child membership but not the that of the family... and this after us telling them we were moving to Vancouver! When I called them they asked me if there was a way I could come in collect a cheque... Honestly its a disgrace.... I really feel disgusted

Negative experience: I have been going to this gym since 2013, however recently it’s been totally run down. Every 2 weeks the leg extension machine is broken!!! And it takes another week to fix it…totally ridiculous. It’s difficult to get a decent workout in with the high school kids that have over run the gym. Will be switching to Goodlife. Not worth staying here anymore if you are serious about your workouts.

Positive experience: It has a library, 2 pools, a gym, basketball courts, and a "cafe" with snacks, smoothies, etc, plus a few other things for kids to enjoy. I'd enjoy the gym more if it had a larger variety of equipment.

Fantastic experience: All the machines and equipment you would ever need. Instructors to assist with your program. Classes and programmes to fit any fitness level needs. Bright. spacious and airy workout space.

Fantastic experience: The Stoney Creek YMCA is the most friendly place to go to enjoy your sports, exercise, swimming, etc. The people on the desk are really friendly and just about everyone in the classes knows the members names. Everybody you meet smiles and talks to you. I love the pool.

Negative experience: The facility is very nice but people walking around naked everywhere makes it impossible to go to the pool there. It is impossible to find a suitable time in the pool anyway, it is always busy.

Negative experience: The summer camp they run here is horrible. Kids under 5 are barely supervised when you drop them off by the spider web in the AM. Witnessed staff yelling at young children multiple times. My 5 year old child would come home telling me they felt "sick" and wanted to throw up because the counselor would make them jump up and down and tell them "not to stop". At that age they take everything seriously. Sad because a place like the YMCA should hold better standards.

Fantastic experience: It’s clean and well organized. The have a mix of all activities: swimming, pickle ball, basketball, free weights, machines, yoga and aerobic equipment. It is popular. Most older people go in the morning on weekdays.

Negative experience: very poor service, very rude customer service on front desk, they open only until 9 pm on Weekdays and open until 5 pm on weekend. they need to increase hours as other gyms open 24 hours.They need to extend at least two hours daily to get open until 7 pm on weekend and open until 11 pm on weekdays while paying them as compared to fitness centre is not worth.Even management is not efficient to use of their employees to run YMCA.They have so many employees for nothing except to roam around inside with no purpose.

Fantastic experience: I like the active and creative drop-in program for the kids while I work out! My kids really enjoy that time in the gym as well. All of us get the exercise we need and the kids also get to interact socially with their peers. I love the variety of options for fitness classes and working out in the gym. My family enjoys the open swims, swimming lessons and the tree house. The facility is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. We have been members for many years and love the YMCA!

Positive experience: Great staff, clean facilities, nice selection of workout equipment. There currently is barely any adult scheduling for the court, and the court is basically a child care center 90% of the time. I think this place needs a 2nd court, would be nice to shoot some hoops or play some volleyball as an adult

Positive experience: Staff is lovely, place is clean my concern is the inconvenient hrs for the pool, classes and closing at 4 on the weekends…it’s really difficult for people who have jobs to attend the place I try to go earlier during the week (after school hrs I guess?) and the equipment in the gym are completely taken over by young kids so you can’t use them…

Fantastic experience: It is so nice to have a facility like this in our neighborhood. Last week our host family from the Ukraine were given the tour of options available by friendly staff. Some happiness found for a family starting a new life here in Canada.
