Negative experience: The staff who protested for wage increases were so abhorrent and behaved so disgustingly I'd never support a dime towards their wages again - saw protestors stick their legs out infront of traffic, screaming, and threatening violence. I also don't respect protestors who block traffic and emergency vehicles. Gym could be nice with a clean sweep of management and anyone who was involved in the protest this winter.

Fantastic experience: Awesome facility! I love the limitless activities and space available to do everything ranging from swimming, basketball, squash, volleyball, badminton, and pretty much most of the sports. There is an indoor track and 2 separate gyms. You'll have so much space to do whatever your heart desires. The equipment rental staff are also very friendly. I wish the lane swimming would become more available throughout the day. The facility is also always clean.

Positive experience: My favourite gym in the whole ygk! It’s always clean, has a friendly staff and enough equipment and gear. I give it a 4 because of the dress code that doesn’t seem to make sense. People should be able to wear the sport gear of their choice (no crop top or sport bra for women).

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area. High quality equipment, good size weightroom. 6 squash courts, pool, indoor 200m track, tons of basketball/volleyball courts. Very insignificant weak point is the cardio room is smaller than other gyms. Overall, the best kingston gym

Positive experience: Spacious, lots of equipment, directed at military and affiliate members. Can get very busy around peak times though, making free equipment scarce.

Positive experience: No A/C in at least a large part of the main complex. Although they have expressed that repairs are ongoing to remedy this.

Fantastic experience: It’s a nice gym

Fantastic experience: Weight room, cardio room and fieldhouse now open to CAF members for individual workouts! Covid protocols were decent--similar to other gyms. At the entrance they ask the covid questions, record your contact info and you check your temperature. Right now they are operating on reduced hours: weekdays from 0730-1300 and 1400-2000, weekends from 1100-1500. They are closed on weekdays from 1300-1400 for cleaning. About half of the machines are off limits to maintain covid distancing. Lots of supplies for cleaning the equipment before and after use; also saw staff actively cleaning equipment. Lockers and showers not available at the moment. Water fountains open for filling water bottles. Bring a second pair of shoes and mil id. Can take off your mask when doing exercises, but most people just keep the mask on for their entire workout. Not too busy. Many thanks to all the staff members who are making sure the gym is safe to access, your efforts are greatly appreciated

Positive experience: Good facility, however why shouldn't tax payers who funded the place have less access than military?

Positive experience: It's a military gym. If you're military, it'd be a waste to join one at your own expense since this one has all you need, and PSP staff to assist. That said some of the equipment is ageing. It's closed due to COVID.

Negative experience: Post covid-19 changes results in a gym that is really safe all because they offer nothing for the individual thus no one wants to go to it. Not sure why the choose the arena with its slippery concrete as the best place to put their fitness box. Also equipment being offered is the leftovers one can find at Canadian Tire. Save your time and money and skip this place.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Was here to welcome back my son and his fellow officer cadets from training. Had to walk through the building to get to washrooms and to exit the other doors for the march. Looks like an amazing place. Amazing equipment. Staff is super friendly. Place is super clean.

Positive experience: Nice facility if you are there for a while to make use of many of its features. Same cost whether you do one thing or spend half a day!

Positive experience: This is the only public pool in town that has a hot tub - so nice in the winter. But there is always some problem with the hot tub or the men's or women's sauna, or the actual pool and the military don't appear to care very much about the users of the pool; they close randomly all of the time, and for a good month or more in June or July. They also randomly delete swimming times so that one can end up with only two weekdays in the afternoon/evening time periods. They appear to do somewhat better for the early risers. The facility is nice but just not as well-kept as it should be.

Negative experience: Good facility. However, change rooms and washroom stink. Family change room is very tight. Lockers location is not the best. If some of e is using, you have to wait to go in. Also water temperature control is a disaster. Water heats up and cos down unexpectedly, in addition to blocked drains in showers. I wish there is a better communication with the front desk. We have had issues with knowing when junior squash and swimming starts and ends this season. Gym needs to communicate better with front desk and update them with better information.

Negative experience: I find it very disappointing that as a community member, I am subject to differential policies about booking squash courts ahead of time at the "community sports centre". So much for being "dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming...environment for all ages".

Positive experience: Good gym facilities for an excellent price and activities for the whole family. Con: swimming pool is often closed for long periods of time with no alternative. Most gym/sports zones are permanently reserved to RMC even though they don't use it 95% of the time. I mean;they should have priority based on how much they've paid for it, but unused slots should be given back to the Base or community activities
