Fantastic experience: I have been attending Guelph MMA regularly for just over a year now. Over this time, I have been so fortunate enough to witness first-hand the great benefits of martial arts, on and off the mats. To my physical health, and emotional wellbeing, among many other things. The professionals at Guelph MMA have not only taught me martial arts but granted me an avenue for personal development and growth, and it continues to amaze me how much you can get out of martial arts with a bit of persistence, intention, and effort. Through my time here I have pushed through barriers I never thought possible. The classes are all run by professionals with lots of experience in their chosen discipline, admirable people who work tirelessly with people in our city that are looking to better themselves. I personally have the MMA package and attend as many classes as I can, and it is really cool to get to learn various martial arts in a safe, productive environment. If you’re a fan of the UFC, or MMA in general, then you have to come down to Guelph MMA, you will get the real thing and so much more. The people and culture around here are so welcoming and you will be learning real skills in a fun, friendly environment. Thank you to the coaches and staff for all that you do for our community. See you on the mats!

Fantastic experience: Solid gym. Tried their free week as Im considering a move into Guelph, and this gym is great for classes. Worked with Frank on BJJ. He is a really knowledgable and humble coach that encourages a healthy competive environment - great crew in his classes. He teaches Tues thurs sat sun Dennis was helping me with boxing. Active competitor that pieces together helpful drills to learn with partners. Looking forward to more advanced training with him next week. Only tip I'd offer them is the ability for full time members to train outside of class hours - tons of growth comes from repeating skills learned in class. Check them out!

Negative experience: Great gym for adults or 16 to 20's. Not great for kids that are just starting out. To elaborate, the instructors only pick out kids that have been training with them since they were little, unless you've enrolled your daughter or son in Wolfgangs class since they were 4 then you'll receive the best results. Otherwise your child is going to be paired with others that don't take the gym serious and treat it as a play ground or unmotivated,lazy and lack attention to the sport. I'm sure it is not at all this way for 16 and up.

Fantastic experience: Great gym to practice and learn MMA. It has different styles such as kickboxing, muay thai, and brazilian jiu jitsu that you can join. Coaches are very professional and helps you to become better by providing good training during class sessions. I would totally recommend this gym to anyone looking to learn MMA. Made the best decision to join this gym.

Fantastic experience: Starting coming to beginner kickboxing 2 months ago - Rocky and Wolfgang are excellent coach’s that care and are more than happy to put the time into you if your willing to learn and listen - I will admit I was intimidated at first just like any gym but that quickly evaporated once the class got started - I’m now looking forward to training every week! Fantastic experience: Love this place and the awesome and dedicated coaches. I trained at Guelph MMA for about 3 years and was so sad to leave (moved out of province) as I doubt I’ll find the same level of training and community culture elsewhere. I’m grateful for the time and effort that Wolfgang and Rocky put in to get me into the ring for the first time (even when they knew I was leaving!). The coaches are also huge advocates for empowering female athletes in this sport, which is hard to find. Cannot recommend enough for athletes and fighters of all levels!

Fantastic experience: I just completed my first kickboxing class and I have to say, it was hands down the best workout I've ever had in my life!! I sweat, I laughed, I felt pain, but the good kind of pain. Wolfgang was such an uplifting, helpful coach! I am somewhat new to boxing and he didn't once make me feel stupid in anyway, although I sometimes felt like it as I am still learning. I seriously can't wait to go back and continue to get better!

Fantastic experience: Great cardio, great for confidence, and Wolfgang has a great coaching staff. If you have any hesitation, I recommend starting with a few personal sessions just to learn the basics 1on 1. The lessons from Dave Rutherford gave me the ability to get the most out the classes. After 3 weeks with Dave, my form was corrected and I was down 10 lbs. Its an incredible experience! Big shout out to the entire boxing class! See you all next class!

Fantastic experience: I attend Guelph MMA as a support worker for an adult who is deaf and nonverbal - I am blown away with how helpful and welcoming the gym is as a whole - coaches, participants, etc. This is a judgement-free gym who supports every attendee as an equal. Guelph MMA is an outstanding work-out and will keep you smiling the whole way through.

Fantastic experience: Guelph MMA is an outstanding gym for anyone looking to be fit, to be a competitor, or to just have fun. Several members of my family, including myself, have been members of Guelph MMA and we have had an amazing experience there. My oldest son has become competitive in Muay Thai and to see him grow and develop has been incredible. His abilities as a fighter have improved tremendously, but importantly so has his self-confidence. He recently was provided the opportunity to go overseas to compete, which was an incredible experience for him. Wolfgang, Gail, and Rocky are amazing coaches and focus 100% on their athletes' development. Where some coaches train their fighters for their next fight, the Guelph MMA coaching team train their athletes for their fighting career. The facilities are excellent, but it's the coaching staff that make Guelph MMA such an amazing place to train. I have suggested to a number of people that they take one of the free introductory classes and every one of them continued at the gym. Regardless of their level, I would recommend Guelph MMA to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough great things about this gym! I started a year ago with one of the ‘train like a fighter’ boot camp and progressed into the other regular classes from there. The classes are always different in fun and challenging ways, and whether your goal is to drop a few pounds, work on your technique or train for a real fight, I guarentee you will succeed here! All the coaches are amazing especially Gail and Wolfgang. Their love of the sport and their dedication to everyone’s gym experience shines in everything they do! I couldn’t imagine training anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: My son takes Muay Thai classes here and absolutely loves them. He has been attending for just over a year. The classes are well run and each student seems to get the personal attention they need to improve their form or make their skills more effective. I appreciate it that women seem as comfortable here as men! I was impressed when we first started that Wolfgang (the owner) did not try to sell us any gear. He wanted us to wait to be sure that my son was committed to training before spending our money. The place has a great atmosphere (unless you are looking for spa treatment - lol). The teachers and other students are very friendly and respectful. I will just comment on another person's review - I rarely see the teachers on a phone!
