Fantastic experience: This gym is amazing. I'm no longer a member since I've moved but figured I owed a review. The owner, Greg is always making improvements to the gym, and is able to source fitness equipment (Such as weight vests) for staggeringly low prices. The community is second to none. Everyone is so welcoming and the class banter always kept me entertained. If you're searching for a gym in Guelph, look no further.

Fantastic experience: My daughter loves this gym! The coaches and owner are wonderful. The technique for the different exercises is well taught, exercises are modified according to each person and there is no competition or judgement between the kids and from the coaches. Great environment for kids and teens of all aptitudes, and of course adults.

CrossFit can seem intimidating if you haven’t done it before, but the coaches and members make this place so special and inviting. I’d recommend to everyone looking to enjoy and have fun with their workouts. 1827 has played such a big role in my physical and mental health.

Very impressed with the progressions/regressions and the pre-hab strength work that transferred so well into some of the more challenging Crossfit movements! 10/10 would recommend this place!!

Fantastic experience: CrossFit 1827 Wow do I seriously love this gym! As a new student to the city of Guelph, this gym has made me feel so so welcomed and I feel like I have found a place where I truly belong. I have met so many people through the CrossFit community and I will sweat through all the workouts in the world with all of the staff and other members, time and time again. Gyms can be intimidating and especially in the beginning when you don’t really know how to lift weights or pace yourself through a workout or don’t know too many people around, look no further because CrossFit 1827 is the best place to be. I cannot say enough good things about this place and all the people that really make it a positive, fun, energetic and safe space to workout. Looking forward to returning in the fall!!

Stef was very knowledgeable and personable. The members were welcoming and encouraging. Great spot and really enjoyed the workout!

The atmosphere was so kind and welcoming, the workouts were lots of fun and the coaches were had were great! We came back for a second drop-in day before leaving the area! Would recommend to anyone local or dropping in

Fantastic experience: Solid crew. They keep equipment in good working condition and take care of the facility as a whole. They don't just check out and herd you out the door upon the class ending. Coach Greg is nothing if not a stand-up guy. When the gym recently booked a space to celebrate the CF1827 turning 6 and it was unexpectedly taken by another party, he graciously let them have it. Coach Stef makes it a point to include everyone when chopping it up during class warm-ups. Coach Curtis is the Joe Swanson of crossfit. That enthused, with much the same can do attitude and dulcet tones. Coaches Steve, Julia and Carly... impeccable attendance. Wherever they go, there they are. :)

Fantastic experience: Love Crossfit 1827! Excellent coaches, facilities, and community. Have never tried Crossfit before and was always a little bit intimidated but 1827 has proven to be a staple in my routine now for my physical and mental health these past few months and am glad to be a member here. 11/10 would recommend!

Positive experience: I can not say enough good things about this gym. Easily some of the friendliest people and very supportive of folks like myself who have never done it before. Without question the best experience I have ever had In a gym and I have had many including one on one training. They say all are welcome regardless of skill or knowledge level and they mean it. Talk is cheap these fine folks walk the walk.

Classes are small and the attention to detail is at a maximum. Best coaches I have ever had in my life! I can’t say enough about how much 1827 has given me confidence and helped me progress in my fitness journey. I feel comfortable at all times, and every member shows respect. I would highly recommend a trial class. You will love it and never go back to a regular big box gym, ever! One class and you’re hooked!

Fantastic experience: Loving this gym! Staff and members are super nice and welcoming. I never thought I’d be capable of the half the things we do, but I’m finding that I can! If you’re thinking about trying CrossFit try it out, it takes a few months to really get into it but then you’ll be amazed at what you can do.

Fantastic experience: Welcoming club and members. I started in August, 2020 and have never looked back. The coaches are terrific and always there to help correct mistakes, or show you another way to get the exercise done. I put off joining initially because I was intimidated by what I thought CrossFit was, but I have to say I have/am enjoying myself immensely. If you are thinking about CrossFit join CrossFit 1827 today, you will not be disappointed. Any level of fitness or experience is welcome. Best decision I ever made.

Fantastic experience: Crossfit1827 is not like any other gym experience. The equipment is great, the atmosphere is positive and the coaches are amazing! On top of this, the other members of the gym are not only supportive but have become a true family. Highly recommend trying out 1827! You won’t regret it.

Each class is different, which keeps things fresh and engaging. I've been to a number of gyms in my life, but I never really 'wanted' to go. Fantastic experience: Going to Crossfit 1827 is always one of the joys/highlights of my day. I LOVE it! The space is great, the programming is excellent, and the coaches are truly phenomenal—capable, helpful, fun, and incredibly supportive. You might expect all that of an outstanding gym, but here’s the thing you might not expect (I didn’t): Crossfit 1827 is a community. When I first joined, I was surprised to hear members describe one another as their ‘fit fam’. Gym family??...I certainly never had that feeling at any gym I’ve belonged to previously, but I quickly realized that it’s TRUE: Crossfit 1827 really feels like a big family. People of all ages and stages and skill levels work hard and have a lot of fun together. The comradery, support, and overall loveliness make me very happy to go back every day. Initially, I was apprehensive about joining a Crossfit gym, but joining Crossfit 1827 was a brilliant decision. I love working out there and I love my fit fam!

The coaches are dedicated and approachable, and I always feel like they encourage you to push yourself in workouts while prioritizing maintaining proper form. I love the once monthly bring a friend days, yoga classes, and socials frequently held. I have loved being a part of such a special place!

The members are the most inclusive, enthusiastic, and kind group of people. I love everything about this place. It’s my home away from home; my favourite place to be!

Fantastic experience: CrossFit can be overwhelming at first glance. I was nervous to try, but now I regret not joining sooner! CrossFit 1827 is a clean, inviting, and positive space. Nobody has an ego, everyone is friendly, and the instruction given by coach Dan is amazing. Coach Dan is always available to offer help/advice, he always offers scaled movements for beginners, and is a very encouraging coach!

Fantastic experience: Great instruction, welcoming to all skill levels, this is a place where you can achieve real results. Crossfit in general has a competitive nature, everyone is encouraged to push hard but never more than you can give. It's a great balance of acceptance and motivation with no judgement. Fantastic experience: I started with CrossFit 1827 at the end of August 2017. My husband and I love this gym and we have felt overwhelmed by being welcomed into the community. We go in daily for the amazing programming this CrossFit box has to offer and we leave, finding ourselves surrounded by likeminded people who we now call our friends. We love training with Dan and Amber!

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym when it opened up and have been very impressed with the coaching staff and facilities. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and very inclusive. Safety and technique are continually stressed. Always encouraging, they celebrate successes no matter how incremental! The environment is so welcoming, I felt at home right away. The equipment is new and facility always kept clean. The roll-up doors allow in sunlight and a cool breeze on those hot days, setting this gym apart from many others in the city. If you want to learn how to lift properly, how to exercise with purpose, and have fun doing it, I recommend you give this gym and team a try!
