Negative experience: When I visited the gym, I specifically asked if my daughter, who is a high level competitive athlete but is 13 could train with me. I was told that, by signing the waiver, they would allow her in. I set up an appointment with a trainer for a program. The appointment ended up being a sales pitch for a training program. Whereas I was looking for training once a month, The trainer convinced me to spend more than i expected, but by charging me the student price so both of us could benefit. Considering my daughter is in pain due to her musculature being out of balance because of her training, I fell for the pitch, hoping they could help her. The trainer also told me that because world gym is always too busy, a trainer is useful to move people out of the way to get equipment. He also asked me if I was single out of context, and then told me he was also single before showering me with praise. When my daughter and I showed up for our first session and to get our programs, the woman at the cash refused us entry based on my daughter’s age, I was confused and asked to escalate the matter, considering I had just committed to 1,000$ in training fees. The employee called her boss and he maintained my daughter was too young. I sent her home; thinking I would mitigate my losses and maintain my own appointment. I walked over to the locker room with the trainer who was apologetic and then waited in the training area but noticed that he took another client in his office and closed the door. after 15 minutes he finally came to see me saying he was under the impression I was cancelling and then told me I would have to pay significantly more if I wanted to train with him because he charged me the student rate. Before I could answer, he walked away and never came back. The next day I wrote in to ask for a reimbursement and a cancellation of my contract. It took a week for them to answer me asking for the reason I wanted to cancel. It has now been two weeks and I have yet to receive my money (almost 500$) and have been told to be patient due to high volumes. I have attempted to resolve this privately with the gym, but two weeks is unacceptable to process a simple request, especially around Christmas time. Please think twice before coming to this gym. It is overcrowded and you will not get consistent service. The employees openly talk about how the trainers have been poor except for the one I booked with. It is a beautiful place but you will find it difficult to even get a machine. I have now re-enrolled at gym fit forme. They do not have a pool, but their service is far superior. Their trainers are more affordable, they will not try to upsell you and many have university degrees in kinesiology and athletic therapy, and yes, they do accept to train teenagers.
Negative experience: Counter people are very nice. Women's section is SUPER SMALL and has the leftover equipment that the rest of the gym doesn't want to use. If you get a "Flex" membership they may not charge you a cancellation fee but you have to give 30 days notice before you want to cancel and they'll still charge you another month + tax so .....cancellation fee???
Negative experience: i do not have a membership at this self-proclaimed " World's gym ", reason i say self-proclaimed is because i have lived in the states and believe you me when i tell you, the world's gym in canada are the biggest fraud, scam, and theft of a "world's gym" replica. While i do know customer service in this country have reached the nadir of customer service & is by far top 3 of the worst most horrific worldwide maybe even TOP n1, i came in with the intention to inquire and perhaps sign up should the pros beat the cons. An unexpected 23+ minutes lingering around the front desk, pacing around almost provoking eye contact to give the staff a HINT that i am NOT a member, did not seem to phase them because obviously and clearly / THEIR mobile phone is a TOP priority. I'm almost convinced they are getting paid to be on their mobile phone during their WHOLE SHIFT. 25 record-breaking minutes have gone by and not a single staff member bothered to approach me. I simply turned around and left. Customer service ? HAHAHAHAHA good joke.
Positive experience: Most of the time, the Jacuzzi and Sunna don’t work.

Positive experience: Nice setup. Free weights, plus machines, pool. Only con is there wi-fi is extremely weak it's Hit or Miss to log on and in certain parts of the gym you will lose signal.

Negative experience: De loin le pire service administratif que j’ai vu dans un gym! La direction est à revoir. World Gym service client 0. Les reste est ok( installation ,etc) N’importe quoi comme gestion, j’ai signé un contrat avec World Gym Laval (contrat de service pas abonnement gym). DDO, Ils prélevént des montants de mon compte bancaire, je n’ai jamais signé aucun document d’autorisation ou de contrat de service d’entraîneur avec eux, mon contrat de service d’entraîneur est avec World Gym Laval! À DDO Personne n’est capable de me donner une explication par rapport à cette situation. Même eux comprennent pas. On modifié les modalités de mon contrat, je ne suis plus satisfaite j’essaie d’annuler, on me dit que j’ai pas le droit…. Difficile de rejoindre la direction, personne veut répondre ou donner des solutions.

Negative experience: Not enough equipment to support volume during peak hours; it’s a zoo at 5pm and impossible to actually work through a program. Certain equipment only exists in the “private” training room and can’t use it even if the “private” trainers aren’t using it (eg ski erg. I want to use that machine but I don’t need or want private training). Weights are all over the place all the time, it’s a workout just finding the weights to work out. And last but not least : cameras and male staff in the locker room. I, as a lady, shouldn’t have to hide in a cubby to change my clothes in a ladies’ locker room.

Negative experience: I’m paying for a VIP member -But sauna is broken since 3 weeks -Hot tub is NOT hot but is room temp water -showers have mold and not been maintained When asked when will sauna be fixed they have no idea But will still not forget to charge you VIP membership when services are not available Doesn’t make any sense Not very well maintained Management needs to pay more attention !

Fantastic experience: Been training with Moji since April 2025. Negative experience: Can’t go a month without me coming in and learning the sauna is closed for couple days due to some problem. They weights and calisthenics space is nice, but its a year contract and i feel stuck now due to me not always having access to a sauna as an athlete

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of world Gym DDO for about three months now, and I truly enjoy the active and motivating environment here. During my first month, I trained with another coach who was excellent, but due to scheduling conflicts, I was introduced to Moji. For the past two months, I’ve been training with Moji, and I can confidently say he’s an outstanding trainer. He’s very attentive, plans every minute of my session carefully, and ensures that I perform each movement correctly and safely. What I really appreciate is that he also pays attention to nutrition — he created a customized meal plan that perfectly fits my vegetarian diet, which was very important for me. Positive experience: Pretty good gym. Between 6-8 pm though you will have to wait for the benches or machines as it becomes way too crowded. They need to remove the +1 guest policy.

Positive experience: I love the Zumba classes at this gym but tonight the volume of the music at the spinning class was to loud that we couldn't follow properly as it was over our classe's music and it was unpleasant. This is not the first time so I hope the management will do something about it

Positive experience: Love the variety! Pool, classes, women's gym... The only complaint I have are that the spa is often freezing cold! and that the music during weeknight spinning classes is insanely loud. My ears rang for hours the two times I tired it. Why does it have to be SO loud?! A few other students also made comments and one spoke to the manager, but nothing is being done and Catherine is not being spoken to.

Negative experience: This gym need to be more organized with posting updates if a class is cancelled. Today was NOT the first time I showed up to a cancelled class that was not posted. It is a real waste of time , especially when I rescheduled my morning so I can try out this new class. Update: you changed and updated your response after my complaint...you know that there were no notes of cancellation shown when I was in your office.

Positive experience: My favorite gym! I have been going here for years! The private lessons are great Group classes (Spinning classes, Yoga classes, Stretching classes all amazing! There is an only women's side upstairs which is great. And a mini club (nothing tops that) if you have a family! + more! Highly recommend !

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a complete suite of good quality equipment as would be expected of an international franchise. I usually go to thee Brossard location but flexing my VIP pass with multiple location access. The gym has a good layout. Change room is clean and there are extra amenities that may be useful…I also like that there is a pool and distinct areas for dumbbells, machines and squat racks for resistance training. The price is very reasonable compared to other gyms that I would consider lower quality.

The only issue is I wish they had more 5ib plates I’m always looking for them all over the gym but besides that great gym . Fantastic experience: Great gym. There’s a lot of equipment. The staff is very friendly. I started semi-private trainings recently with Anne and it’s been very helpful for me as far as bringing structure to my workouts. I highly recommend it. The program is personalized and tailored to my goals. She took the time to go over my history and understand what my challenges are and what I need help with. She does regular check-ins to help keep me on track with my training and with everything that goes around it (stretching, recovery, nutrition). Also, I love the fact there’s a pool. That said, I would like longer pool hours. As popular as the pool and sauna are, I’m convinced others have also expressed that. It’s a dope gym!

But what has bothered me recently is the management's lack of attention to the hot showers, which have been broken for about a month, and instead of responding appropriately, the management makes excuses every day. Fantastic experience: I've been a member at Monster Gym, Fit Forme, Econofitness. I can tell you now hands down World Gym if you are stuck to choose between these gyms. For the price (VIP) package plus what you get is an absolute bang for the buck. Especially with the new opening hours, you cannot go wrong with World Gym DDO. Lastly, Adam the coach gave me some fitness advice based on my weight and goals etc. (included in the package) and he was so welcoming and thoroughly explained what I need to do. Highly recommend! Changing rooms are clean too. Has a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a woman's only Gym section!!

Negative experience: Unsanitary, caught supercovid here and was sick for 5 days. Gym is always crowded, they sign up more members than they have capacity for. Impossible to get a bench.

Negative experience: When I applied to this gym, I requested a monthly membership so I could cancel at any time without incurring cancellation fees. However, they signed me up for a yearly contract without informing me about it. When I called to address the issue, they said there’s no cancellation fee but that I would need to pay $180 to cancel my membership. Additionally, they required me to come in person to cancel, wasting my time. When I raised my concerns, they told me that I signed the contract and that the employee who initially helped me no longer works there. I am now adjusting my review after having my time wasted again through email. Despite having already paid the cancellation fee, they just made more excuses instead of addressing my request for a refund. Additionally, this gym consistently had equipment broken and left unfixed for extended periods. I strongly advise against joining this gym, as they have demonstrated unethical practices, poor customer service, and a lack of maintenance.

Positive experience: I’m updating my initial review. PROS: Plenty of space. Good amount of machines & equipment. Generally clean areas. Bathroom area is generally clean. Good AC system. CONS: Men’s bathroom sinks are broken or unresponsive often. Sauna closes VERY early on weekends (1pm), this doesn’t give the opportunity to members to enjoy a sauna post workout in the afternoons. SUGGESTIONS: Expand the sauna hours in the weekends to accommodate more users.

Negative experience: PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY IS MISLEADING. THEY CLAIM TO CHARGE 175$ WITH NO MENTION OF IT IN THE CONTRACT!! They offer a lot of services but I wouldn't trust that. I got a membership strictly for the pool and it definetely is not worth if you're a serious swimmer. The pool is small (maybe 10 meters) and not shallow at all. I decided to cancel my membership and they claimed I have to pay 175$. There was a lot of back and forth and a lot of time wasted because there's no mention of that fee in the contract and they ended up refunding me 10$ because I was an annoying customer who knows my rights.

J'étais au YMCA à Cartierville il y a qq. années, et les 2 essoreuses fonctionnaient très bien.... pourquoi celle du DDO est tjs en panne ? vous remerciant de votre grande compréhension, et je voudrais souligner l'excellent travail des employés (es) à ce gym.. Negative experience: Hi. I’m a VIP member at worlds Gym in Dollard-descOrmeaux. Recently in the month of June, I fell while vacationing in Portugal, and I broke my left hand. I’m now wearing a cast and experience lot of pain. I went to speak to the supervisor at the World’s gym Allie so that I may freeze my membership temporarily. I was told that without a medical note that would be impossible to do. « I’m sitting in front of you with a cast up to my elbow, and you’re asking me for a medical note «! How ridiculous does that sound! I’m 65 and I live on a limited income, and I have never in my life experience such lack of empathy. Doctors charge a ridiculous fee for everything they fill out. I’ve been to others gym in the area, and if i were to walk in with a sling on my arm, I wouldn’t have any difficulty with my request. Highly disappointed with your lack of respect towards members. I’m here visiting from California for 2.5 weeks and have been buying day passes to work out here because it’s convenient and the staff are really cool. I especially want to acknowledge the kindness and professionalism of Xavier, Aiushi (sp?) and Kalen. Not only did they remember me every time, they always greeted me with a smile and kind words, I feel that this is crucial to running a good business. I have had my own chiropractic office for 22 years. The equipment is great and well kept, the staff I interacted with are exceptional. Thanks for making possible my ability to continue my workouts so far from home! No doubt, when I return here next year to visit my family, I will return here again, my home away from home!

Positive experience: All the machines and workout equipment was very good the locker rooms as well. I did have a bad experience when trying out the tanning equipment. I felt very rushed to sign a paper that was a wavier for using the equipment, I wasn't even able to read it all they just told me what to write. They asked me how much time I wanted to tan but I was asking what should I start at and they didn't seem to know so they put the machine at 10 minutes. When I went in the machine it has a very clear layout written on the machine and I was very upset because it said I should've started at 4 minutes. I went to ask if I can change the time on the machine from 10 to 4 but they told me just walk out of the machine at 4 minutes which isn't a bad solution but when I was talking to them I felt very rushed like I was bothering them and it was a very bad experience for someone who's trying out something new.

Fantastic experience: Gym propre, atmosphère respectueuse, même lorsque le gym est plein on trouve quand même une machine pour s'entraîner, quitte à partager l'équipement. Direction à l'écoute des clients, très agréable de s'entraîner à ce gym.

Negative experience: Notre gym est pour moi comme une deuxième maison, c'est ce qu'il y a de mieux pour moi, nous avons eu des classes de full body ,du spinning... tout ce que nous avions besoin, mais pendant plusieurs mois j'ai été déçue car personne n'a entendu nos plaintes, beaucoup de classes ont été annulées et ils changeaient d'entraîneur Très souvent et même si nous prenons un certain temps d'adaptation, nous nous soutenons toujours mais maintenant nous n'avons plus des classes de body le soir et les cours de spinning seront annulés pendant 2 semaines ou plus. Quand j'ai commencé à faire de l'exercice il y a des années, le gérant m'a dit que notre santé serait de sa responsabilité, et que si j'avais des questions ou des commentaires, je devais m'adresser à lui, et ils les examineraient attentivement et résoudraient les problèmes, et moi et mes collègues nous ne trouverons pas que c’est le cas . Ma question est maintenant : vous souciez-vous de nous et de nos problèmes ? Si c'est le cas, j'espère que vous soyez à l’écoute Merci J’aimerais juste faire une petite modification pour mes commentaires que le gérant après quelques jours m’a appelé et ça me faire sentir bien que vous s’occuper de vos clients. Votre contribution sera certainement la clé pour résoudre notre problème. Je tiens à vous remercier pour vos efforts pour tenter de trouver une solution à notre souci. Grâce à votre dévouement et votre travail acharné, vous avez réussi à nous calmer. Nous allons essayer d'attendre que vous trouviez des coachs compétents pour pouvoir récupérer ce que nous avons perdu. Negative experience: Friday the 17th of May I walk in and realize my fob doesn’t allow me entrance. I ask what’s wrong and they tell me my payment was not processed. I decide to make a payment with my debit card and the guy at the counter who processes it seems a bit distracted. As I walk away and scan my fob again it doesn’t turn green. So I ask him if he’s processed the payment to my account. He says yes and dismisses me. The next day, I return to my own branch and realize I’m still denied access. The girl at the counter tells me my payment wasn’t processed, to which I reply it’s impossible because I made a payment in person at the DDO location and I show her proof of payment. She tells me she can’t do nothing for me, that I have to contact the DDO location. I end up calling Saturday afternoon and the guy behind the phone doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing and tells me he’s going to put a note in my file. Comes Monday morning, I explain the situation to a guy named Joshua, he takes time to go through the file and tells me there’s NO note. And tells me the manager will call me when he gets in. Waited all day, the manager never called me. I end up calling myself and talking to a guy named Maxime, Maxime ends up retrieving my payment with my debit card number, tells me its fixed and here we are, Tuesday morning where Joshua tells me again that no one fixed anything because my access with my fob still was NOT working. The only competent person who actually helped was Joshua. The manager and the rest of the staff were completely useless. Wasted my time back and forth with them for a payment that was made yet had to call them 3 times and explain my situation to every individual behind the phone who couldn’t put 2 and 2 together or hold their attention together long enough to fix my situation.
Fantastic experience: Coach Nick is a great mentor and motivator. He posts his weekly workout plans ahead of time for us to plan when we want to work out. He also provides nutritional and supplement advice which is helpful for beginners like myself. I highly recommend him if you want to take your fitness to the next level.

Positive experience: Good variety of classes, lots of machines available. When joining, you get a session with a coach. It is NOT to give you a program or show you the machines. It is to sell you a coaching program. And according to the banter I heard while waiting « you have a 80% chance of closing if the person is francophone ». I guess it payed to speak in English when I arrived.

Positive experience: This gym is very clean and offers a lot of new machines. The staff are welcoming and professional. The only cons that I would say are that the women’s section does not have a lot of weight options and that the hand sanitizers are empty.

Positive experience: It’s a nice gym and we liked our experience, but the customer service has a lot of room for improvement. When we first stepped foot in the reception area, we were greeted by 3 employees having a very loud and long argument about something right by the turnstile. It was awkward and should’ve been resolved somewhere private.

Negative experience: Bon GYM, excellent équipement, excellents cours. Super piscine. MAIS de la musique vulgaire et violente joue constamment le soir ! J'ai contacté le manager... il a promis de régler la situation ! quand il est de service, tout va bien....! en partant....le staff met à nouveau de la musique vulgaire et violente ! GYM est un endroit où des personnes de différentes nationalités, de différentes religions et de différents sexes vont et.... ! la musique doit être neutre... et normale ! J'ai expliqué cela au personnel... ils me rient au nez... ! on me dit que c'est de la musique pour s'entraîner....! aucun respect...pour moi en tant que client...! La GYm est après tout un objectif pour améliorer le moral et le bien-être physique ! mais le personnel de ce GYM ne comprend pas ça ! ...
