Positive experience: Le gym convient amplement à mes besoins. Dans de rares occasions, il y a beaucoup de monde et il faut donc attendre son tour, mais ce n'est ni fréquent, ni très long. Ce serait super que le gym puisse fermer plus tard aussi, mais mis à part ça, je suis bien content de continuer mon abonnement.
Positive experience: Je suis d’accord avec le principe que les gens laissent leurs bottes à l’entrée du gym. Mais l’entrée est tellement sale que ça fait peu de différence, puisqu’on entre dans le centre avec des chaussures de gym sales et mouillées.

La demande de changer de souliers avant d’entrer au gym vise justement à réduire au maximum la neige, l’eau et le calcium à l’intérieur, afin de garder les planchers plus sécuritaires et de protéger nos équipements. L’effort de nos membres fait une réelle différence, même si les conditions extérieures compliquent parfois la tâche.

Negative experience: I was invited by a friend to try the gym. When we arrived we were told that I would have to pay $20 for a day pass or sign up for a free trial online and wait 24hrs for a response. Not unwilling to pay $20 but asked the gentleman at the counter if we could simply try it this time as I had filled out the online form that day. He said he could ask the manager. He returned from the office which was 3ft away and said his manger said no. I understand the rules and the point of the structure of the process. I take issue with the fact that the manager could not even take the time to get up, speak for themselves or explain why to me, the customer. Had they done that I would have gladly paid the $20. I was willing to become a member but unfortunately will not be returning, even for the free pass I should be receiving in the next 12hrs.

To clarify the situation: our staff followed the correct procedure. Since you had already used a free trial in the past, our system does not allow a second one. Additionally, because you unsubscribed from email and text communications, you would not have been able to receive the confirmation required to activate a new trial request.
When the employee asked the manager for confirmation, it was simply to verify the policy — because it was a straightforward situation, the manager did not need to intervene directly. If you had requested to speak with her, she would have gladly taken the time to explain the same information in person.
We also want to mention that some of our memberships do include guest privileges, but in this case your friend’s membership did not allow for free guest access. Members are normally aware of the options included in their plan and should let their guests know about any applicable fees before coming in.

Negative experience: Update: My phone isn’t blocking anything I get unknown-number calls constantly. Blaming my settings is a weak excuse. You avoid putting things in writing, ignore emails, and then pretend the issue is on my end. Your message just confirmed it: the communication is sloppy, and it shows exactly how your business operates. :) -------------- Let me make this crystal clear, because this isn’t about “the contract” at all. This is about Crunch Lachine repeatedly avoiding written communication and relying on fake phone attempts to cover themselves. Here’s what actually happened: 1) I emailed them my cancellation. 2) They didn’t respond by email — they called instead and told me it was canceled. 3) Later, a different employee told me, “We called you and you didn’t answer.” Except the call was a one-second ring. No human can answer that. I called back immediately and someone picked up right away. So clearly, they were available. Then today it happened again. I had my phone in my hand. They called, the screen flashed, and they hung up in under a second — just enough to create a “missed call” record — then they disappeared. That’s not communication. That’s not customer service. That’s just a tactic to avoid putting anything in writing. If everything is truly “clear in the contract,” then there should be no reason to dodge emails, no reason for one-second phone calls, and no reason to pretend the customer “didn’t answer.” These patterns speak for themselves.
Update :
Have you checked your phone settings to make sure it isn’t blocking calls from numbers that aren’t in your contacts? We don’t have any “superpowers” that would let us prevent your phone from ringing while still leaving a missed call.

All membership terms and fees are clearly shown on our website and in the contract you signed. This is not your first membership with us, so you were already familiar with the fees and conditions associated with your account.
Regarding your cancellation request:
As stated on page 2 of your contract, cancellation requests must be submitted 10 business days (weekends excluded) before the next billing date.
Your request was sent after this deadline, which is why the payment was processed.
About our communication:
We are not “mixing up” emails — the information you received is accurate, and the conditions you are referring to are clearly outlined in the contract you agreed to. It’s important to review the terms before making false accusations.
Regarding your dispute:
We will provide the credit card company with a copy of your signed contract and the cancellation policy as part of the dispute review process. They will be able to confirm the validity of the charges based on the terms you accepted.

Negative experience: J’avais déjà vue les bad retours sur cette salle mais j’ai quand même donné le bénéfice du doute à cette salle d’autant plus que j’habite à même pas 3min à pieds de la. Alors je me suis inscrite il ya même pas une semaine personne ne m’a prévenu que je devais apporter deux chaussures, l’agente à la réception m’a vue venir pendant 4jours avec les même chaussures elle m’a jamais rien dit. Je me réveille ce matin je coupe mon sommeil a 06h pour pouvoir me rendre à la salle a 08h m’entraîner on m’annonce que je dois apporter 2paires de chaussures sinon je ne pourrais pas rentrer, je leurs dis que je n’étais pas au courant de cette politique et que je suis inscrite il ya même pas encore une semaine, on me dit fermement que je ne pourrais pas passer m’entraîner alors que je n’ai jamais été au courant de cette politique et je répète encore ils m’ont vue arrivé là-bas pendant 4&5 jours avec les mêmes paires de chaussures personne ne m’as jamais rien dit. Un très mauvais service et je suis très déçu de crunch fitness même pas une semaine vous donnez raison à vos mauvais retours. Et voilà un mauvais retour de plus . Je suis très déçu et je ne recommanderais pas cette salle, revoyez votre service à la clientèle.

Nos employés font leur possible pour rappeler la politique à chacun, mais lorsqu’il neige, nous devons appliquer la règle sans exception afin d’assurer que les planchers restent secs et sécuritaires pour tous les utilisateurs. Le calcium, l’eau et la neige peuvent rendre le gym glissant et endommager les appareils.
Notre objectif n’est jamais de refuser un membre, mais de maintenir un environnement propre, sécuritaire et agréable pour l’ensemble de notre communauté.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was no sign saying that Crocs or summer shoes were not allowed, yet the person at the front desk told me to “get out of here” with no explanation. Totally unacceptable behavior.

There is actually a clear sign on the entrance door showing pictures of the shoes that are not allowed, including Crocs and other outdoor or open shoes. The same information is also displayed in the locker rooms and stated in the gym rules.

Negative experience: L’enfer à l’heure de pointe machine qui rest brisé pour 1mois+ si tu es quelqu’un qui aime s’entraîner c’est vraiment le pire ambiance

Lorsqu’une machine se brise, nous faisons tout notre possible pour la réparer dans la semaine qui suit. Cependant, il peut arriver que la livraison des pièces prenne plus de temps, ce qui peut retarder la remise en fonction.
Concernant l’achalandage, il est vrai que, comme dans tous les gyms à travers le monde à cette période de l’année, les périodes de pointe attirent plus de membres. Cela dit, la situation devrait se stabiliser dans les prochaines semaines.

Fantastic experience: They have everything you need to get a good workout in.
Fantastic experience: Great gym for a begginer mom and teen duo. The machines all work well, employees pass to desinfect them all the time. Staff is available to help carify correct usage of any machine. Have been going often for a month now and everyone is nice and courteous, even when there is a lot of people present. The infrared sauna and the massage beds are a big bonus at the end of an hour of working out.
Negative experience: J’ai récemment visité la succursale Crunch à La Chine et j’ai été extrêmement déçu. L’endroit avait une odeur d’urine très désagréable, et environ un tiers des équipements étaient brisés. De plus, il manquait beaucoup d’équipements qu’on retrouve dans d’autres succursales, comme celle de Boucherville. Franchement, l’état général du gym était vraiment déplorable. Je déconseille fortement cette succursale à quiconque cherche une expérience de qualité.

Positive experience: Pour vrai, c’est vraiment correct comme salle de gym. Il y a tout ce dont on a de besoin pour s’entraîner et, la plupart des gens qui donnent des mauvais reviews à cause de la salubrité, je ne trouve pas que la salle est plus deg que les autres que j’ai côtoyées. Je pense, aussi, que c’est la responsabilité de tous et chacun de nettoyer leur environnement, c’est pas juste au gym de le faire. Le staff pourrait être un peu plus accueillant, mais quand on leur parle, les employés sont bien gentils.

Negative experience: Faites attention si vous signez un contrat avec ce gym de bien lire avant de vous engager à être membre! Aucun contrat de 3 ou 6 mois. Un contrat annuel avec possibilité d’annuler après 3 mois sans problème selon Yoan Yrogbo. Hors, ce n’est pas le cas… Après avoir téléphoné pour annuler le contrat… Il faut envoyer un courriel et attendre… Sauf que le temps passe et les prélèvements se font aussi! Il y a des frais pour annuler et d’autres frais prélevés sans préavis. Après s’être déplacé en personne pour parler à Yoan: il ne travaille plus à ce gym. Il a été envoyé à un autre Crunch Gym. Avant de vous inscrire et apposer votre signature et initiales sur la tablette, demandez la copie et lisez-la attentivement. Des employés malhonnêtes qui informent très mal les futurs clients. Faites attention et renseignez-vous auprès de l’OPC. Prenez le temps de lire les commentaires sur leur site ainsi que les avis et vous comprendrez.

Negative experience: Gérante pas sympatique, employés indifférents, on dirait parfois un rassemblement après école. Plancher sale, saleté accumulée partout autour des machines et les ouvertures entre les section de plancher. La bande de tapis synthétique sale, jamais été lavée et désinfectée. Écrans TV trop petits et mauvais choix de poste desfois (curling, baseball, etc...) Si un autre gym ouvre c'est certain que je vais aller ailleurs.

Negative experience: Les employés sont très mal poli a commencé par la gérante,y’a aucun ordre dans ce endroit. Se permettent de casser les casiers des clients et vider les affaires et quand tu te plains un employé mal éduqué va te dire que tu n’es pas à l’hôtel,comme si tu t’entraînais gratuitement.bref je déconseille vraiment ce endroit,j’y étais depuis 2023 les employés n’ont Jamais été utile. Nous sommes désolés de la situation que vous avez vécue. Toutefois, comme indiqué dans les règlements du gym, il est interdit de laisser des effets personnels dans les casiers après votre entraînement.
Malheureusement, en raison de propos verbaux inappropriés envers notre personnel — ce que nous ne tolérons en aucun cas — nous avons pris la décision de mettre fin à votre contrat. Plusieurs clients présents ont également été témoins du manque de respect à l’égard de nos employés et nous ont remerciés d’avoir agi pour éviter que ce genre de situation ne se reproduise.

Negative experience: I went training there Monday, and ultimately I didn’t stay long. Never saw a gym as disgusting as that, there is not even paper towels and garbage bins throughout the gym, people are sharing towels to wipe the equipment, ultimately mixing all the sweat and germs of each other’s on the equipment. There is way too much equipment for the square footage of the place, it was my first time and my last time there, glad to be back in my hometown Crunch

Please note that we do have garbage bins throughout the gym—if ever in doubt, our team is always happy to assist and point them out. As for the cleaning towels, they are changed as needed throughout the day to ensure proper hygiene. You can rest assured they are not the same ones used all day.
Many of our members actually appreciate the wide variety of equipment we offer, as it allows for more flexibility in their workouts.

Negative experience: Small gym with way too many people no matter the time. Weekend hours are bad. Machines stay broken for long periods of time. Owner is not professional. I have sent 3 emails over the course of 22 days and counting… still no answer. I called and was told they would call back… still nothing.

As our employee explained, your membership will be canceled, and we will contact you to confirm the cancellation once it’s processed. Negative experience: The equipment in the gym is very dated and frequently broken for extended periods of time The gym is quite dirty, besides machines as most clients wipe them down, there is dust and dirt all over the place. Its frequently over capacity so you'll have to wait for a machine or weights, a lot of un serious people not actually training, just sitting on their phones watching videos or texting. The bathroom regularly has a urine smell not sure if plumbing issue or hygiene issue management doesn't really seem interested in correcting issues or enforcing rules. the crunch in the north shore is 10x the quality.

Malhonnête de la part de l'entreprise de s'annoncer à 15$/mo quand le prix est à peu près le double de ça quand on prend en compte tous les frais cachés. On a tout ce dont on a besoin pour un entraînement de base, mais il manque des machines. Faut parfois être très patients pour terminer nos entraînements parce que toutes les machines sont occupées, même en dehors des heures de pointe. Certaines machines sont en mauvais état. Crunch devrait investir davantage dans cette succursale vu le prix qu'on paie.
Negative experience: La salle me propose une séance de coaching avec FAH… , je me rends au rendez-vous à l’heure et puis surprise le coach n’est pas là et à l’accueil ils m’annoncent qu’ils arrivent pas à joindre la coach , faudrait peut-être honorer vos rdv avant toute chose .
Fantastic experience: Personnel à l'accueil toujours prêt à aider et répondre aux questions. Les heures d'ouverture étendues me permettent d'éviter les heures de point au gym. Ainsi, je peux aller pendant le lunch ou bien en soirée. Ma coach Fahima est excellente, très dédiée et investie dans le progrès et les atteints des objectifs de ses clients.
Negative experience: Not quite my cup of tea level of cleanliness and available machines or square footage. Smaller lower class Crunch gym. But the people are very nice.
Negative experience: Worst service, sign up was quick... Cancellation took 1 month after sending multiple emails. And they still deducted money. Also I was told I will get refund, but later they denied.

Positive experience: 1. They need more machines for upper body like a lot of people are using the pec/dec machine while there only one while there way less people using the cardio machines when there are like 10 of them 2.50 percent of the people don't clean the machine after using them 3. it's hard to find the right barbell because they all spread out
Negative experience: Gym is good but something would need to change for how crowded it gets, when i went around 5pm it was so over crowded, every machine and weights were in use and people seemed to be doing line-ups to get the machine or bench/weights they wanted. Maybe consider a max limit or plan future renovations to accomodate the volume of people that go after work 4-7pm. I had to leave that day because i couldnt find anywhere to workout and some people dont seem inclined to share with others, overall though it is a good gym because there is nothing else in lachine
Positive experience: I signed up with the first gym there I believe in 1999 when it was Energie Cardio. The same locker room situation there today as back then, some renovations are required. Staff is okay and I talk to everyone so no problems, there are some outdated equipment but hey, it’s an old gym. Here is what I’d like to see enforced. 1- Members should bring their towels. When I forget my towel, no one bothers to ask. Post signs around the gym about member responsibility. 2-that sign should also remind members to rack the weights and return plates after use. 3 - there is no push for gym etiquette. Members often are using more than one station or bench (splitting reps). This takes up equipment that could be used by other members. Further, the sled path has become everyone’s warm up, stretching station, and even using fuse balls. My suggestion is remove the bikes upstairs, extend the stretching space and put in more lights. Downstairs, sell off or get rid of some of the cardio machines. I see how unused a lot are, put a few bikes downstairs. 4 - finally, too many times people are taking their social media pics etc. this is annoying and is usually something most gyms have rules against this. I live close by and it’s convenient, and I can choose my hours, which is never between 4-9 during weekdays, big crowd, groups taking up space at peak hours, etc. I can appreciate a young staff, yet hire some older and experienced staff with experience who can relate to all members. I keep going because I love training, it’s close to me, yet…changes are needed. But soon, I’d rather pay 30 or more a month for better.
Negative experience: I’ve been going here for a couple of years now. While the gym is overall passable, there are several areas of improvement. For instance, majority of treadmills are old and used. They are no longer smooth to operate and if the person is around 200 lbs. , you gotta crank up the pace very high to reach 6 mph. Secondly, there’s dust everywhere except on the actual machines or weights. Probably cause the users wipe it off? Locker room is smelly, one urinal and one closed stall. What takes the cake is the broken water fountain. While this should not matter that much well, there’s only one in the entire gym! Quite honestly, this is the only gym in Lachine and the monthly price is decent. But there should be a minimum maintenance done at all times and some concrete investment to modernize the equipment.

Unfortunately, the performance of some equipment can actually be affected by the weight of the person, regardless of the age of the equipment. Secondly, we work hard with our employees to keep the gym clean. If you see that something is not up to your satisfaction, you can always come see us and we will be happy to correct the situation. Third, despite the fact that we put up a sign asking all customers to flush the urinal after use, there are still customers who do not do so. If this is not done after each use, it may create a temporary odor. Unfortunately, we cannot hire an employee to go flush after customers. Finally, the water fountain broke just 48 hours ago and we are waiting for the plumber to come. In the meantime, we have made available water in pitchers. Fantastic experience: I like the vibes. Both the staff and the regulars are friendly, calm, and in general Crunch seems like a choice gym for casual to intermediate training. Early in the week (Monday-Wednesday) in the early evening it can get pretty busy, but the rest of the time there's usually enough space. I haven't tried any of the classes but I've listened in a bit while they're happening and the trainers seem upbeat, attentive, bilingual and competent. It would be really really cool if Crunch bought the empty space next to them and expanded the gym out some.

Negative experience: J’y suis abonné depuis plus d’un an et j’étais toujours satisfaite! Mais récemment c’est très décevant Tout d’abord, c’est très sale. Pleins d’amas de poussière partout, les poubelles dans toilettes des femmes déborde, du papier de toilette partout au sol. L’employé est très concentré sur son téléphone écouteurs aux oreilles et avance à pas de tortue. Et la un samedi je m’y présente à l’ouverture (8:00) et l’employé n’est pas présent donc toujours fermé. Plusieurs clients sont dehors à attendre. Il est 8:30 toujours personne. Très décevant et frustrant.

Nous vous avons proposé de transférer votre abonnement à quelqu'un d'autre ce que vous avez refusé. Vous utilisez nos installations depuis les 2 dernières années et ce que vous nous reprochez ne vous a pas empêché de vous y entrainer. Negative experience: Not worth it! Yes it’s a decent gym but their customer service is horrible. They auto renewed my membership without any notice and trying to cancel the membership was a real headache. They’ll tell you to email them but won’t get back to you, you’ll call them and they’ll tell you they left a note, yet you still don’t hear back from them. Finally got it cancelled but it took way too long and was way too complicated for something that is usually done with the click of a button through your member login, not at this gym though.

Negative experience: I joined since it’s the only gym in the area. I’ve been at a few gyms in the past and this is the first time I feel like I’m in a discount gym. Hopping for a newer gym to open in Lachine in the near future but this one will do in the meantime. I don’t need a high end futuristic gym. Just one that that feels clean and motivating to be in. One thing they have to change is the nasty worn out rags that lay around the gym to clean machines after use.
