Fantastic experience: Tyler made the sign up easy and answered all my questions, even gave me a tour! Plenty of equipment, and not too busy even during peak times. Free parking too!

Fantastic experience: Location location location! Evolve has it in spades. The staff is always welcoming and there to assist you throughout your workout. Plenty of high end equipment and the entire space is well maintained. Thank you Tyler and everyone at Evolve for all that you do!

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the city! Always clean, never overcrowded, and great assortment/quality equipment. Exceptional trainers and massage therapists in the building as well.

Negative experience: Management allows inappropriate touching to go unaddressed, with the offender let off with a warning. Happened multiple times to different people already. Not sure how many girls are supposed to be traumatized before the offender get their membership revoked. Some trainers are also super inconsiderate with no action taken against them. They would leave equipment across the entire gym from where they’re usually kept, and their trainees then pick up on this same attitude and doing the same thing.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this location regularly for a little over 2 years now and there are a few reasons why I stay here. - World class personal trainers - The staff are super friendly, helpful, and make you feel welcome - There's a eucalyptus steam room inside the change room - It's always clean - They have a wide variety of machines, free weights, cardio equipment and pretty much anything else you might need including physio therapists, psychologists, cupping and needling, and even a barber! I went to M*v*ti once last month just to see what all the hype was about... (Sorry for cheating on you, Evolve ) Impressive facility indeed but here's the major difference: There, I felt like just another number. At Evolve Strength Downtown, I feel like part of a community. Great job everyone, you're gonna have a hard time getting rid of me.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym!! Staff are friendly, equipment and amenities are well kept, and it’s never over-crowded (unlike the GoodLife down the road which is packed). Also, the prices are great and they do daily/weekly/monthly passes in addition to memberships.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to share my positive experience since joining Evolve in March. After my Spin classes at LA Fitness were canceled, I was looking for a gym that offered good coaching, flexible scheduling, and strong motivation, and Evolve has certainly delivered. I've been very happy with the Group Fitness Classes, which offer about six sessions to choose from each day. The coaches are truly fantastic—they're engaged, enthusiastic, and consistently help with form to make sure workouts are challenging. The 45-minute sessions, including a warm-down, are very reasonable, especially with a subscription. I particularly want to highlight Hunter's classes on Fridays. His youthful energy and knowledge are amazing, and he's always willing to spend time afterwards to provide tutorials and answer questions. Raika and Melissa are also wonderful coaches, and honestly, everyone on the team is great. The gym itself is always clean, and it's inspiring to see everyone so focused on their workouts.

Negative experience: Definitely would be rating this gym 5 stars but not down to give my money to spaces where people can walk around wearing pro Trump & pro Israel attire. The gym is a place where people should be able to work on their physical and mental wellbeing without seeing political hate speech. I hope if someone were to enter the gym in a swastika t shirt they’d be asked to leave. Please make this gym a safe and welcoming space for all. Imagine being palestinian and seeing that when going for your workout. Evolve, please so better and step up.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in town. Spencer is the best dude!

Positive experience: Overall nice, usually there is enough space and a good amount of power racks and spaces for olympic lifting. There is also a long patch of artificial grass to practice sprints and pull sleds. Unfortunately, it gets a bit too crowded (and intermittently too so it's not really predictable when it's crowded), they should consider adding a 2nd floor or something.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym! The cleanliness, greenery, large windows, staff, equipment, meals to go… it’s all 5 stars. The environment feels spacious and calm.

Positive experience: I usually go to the north location, but come to the downtown one if I have massage or physio booked here. I used to come here daily, for about 5 years, before I moved, but have seen a huge difference lately. Specifically trainers and other gym-goers hogging multiple pieces of equipment, sometimes 3-4, on various areas of the gym, some of them even 15+minutes before they need them. And they are super rude about it, when you don’t notice they are using it. Even a simple “I have one set let then it’s yours,” and not literally grabbing it from your hands. It is nice having heated parking, and more amenities than the north location. But i would still recommend the north location for sure.

They have everything you need, from equipment to friendly staff, and don't forget the stocked to-go meals and energy drinks available. The bathrooms are always super clean and they have steam rooms in the men's and women's as well as clean personal showers. Highly recommend

This makes it a great one-stop shop for anyone looking to train hard while taking care of their body. Cleanliness and maintenance are consistently top-notch, and the layout ensures there’s plenty of space to train without feeling overcrowded. Unlike mainstream gyms, Evolve Strength fosters an environment where people respect the equipment and each other, making for a much better training experience.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with the right atmosphere This is my new gym in Edmonton, and it’s a nice change from the influencer-heavy vibe of a lot of gyms I used to go to in BC. It has a modern design, a great layout, and none of the steroid bro energy or people filming themselves. You can just work out. I’d give it 4.8 stars. The only downside is the men’s change room could use more space and benches since it gets mad crowded when it’s busy.

Fantastic experience: I signed up at evolve in June 2024. I broke my leg in September. Evolve was nice enough to freeze my account for three months. Here I am in January still on crutches on my surgeon’s orders. Apparently evolve cannot freeze my membership any longer. When I enquired why I was told “to protect ourselves because you may be faking”. Well there’s some pictures of the x-rays and I was going to Arc for physio so the entire I’m faking it angle is simply not true. Not impressed. Update: Tyler Kick, the manager of the gym personally called me and settled things to my satisfaction. If the person that answered the phone had simply moved my call up the chain this entire situation could have been avoided. Moved the rating to 5/5 based on Tyler's compassion level.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. More chill than a lot of other gyms downtown. Staff are super helpful.

Positive experience: Very clean and equipment always taken care of, Always greeted with a friendly smile and good morning, Sauna is great, Nice location and underground parking. They play good music. The new equipment is really nice. Lighting is really nice, doesn’t give you headaches. I’d give a 5 star rating if it weren’t for trainer etiquette being so poor. Seems it has gone downhill since the last couple years. Harbouring multiple pieces of equipment at once, almost running into fellow members. I doubt anything will be done to improve but who knows. Overall, it’s a good gym.

Fantastic experience: Great fitness space! I go to Pilates here two - four times a week and the workout and instruction is so good. The gym is clean and the staff are so friendly. We run into a crowd apt familiar faces. This is the gym to be at in Edmonton.

Fantastic experience: This is easily the best gym in the city! The gym is clean, spacious and thoughtfully laid out. They have great equipment (including a lot of new stuff) that is always well maintained. From the front desk to the trainers, everyone is genuinely invested in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Also as someone who has to park outside, the heated underground parking is amazing in the winter!

Positive experience: If you are serious about lifting besides SBD, just avoid this gym. $80 for broken platforms even with sbd and for machines that are BAD that give you zero ROM. But the staff is amazing and if you are more casual this gym could be good for you

Fantastic experience: Great gym with very convenient location and amazing amenities!

Negative experience: Please consider not using this gym. They have removed all specialized equipment and everything else at Evolve DT can be found elsewhere for a better price. I see trainers on their phones texting instead of paying attention to their clients, and the gym is slowly losing the diversity of people that made it feel welcoming and is now only catering to a specific demographic. I strongly suggest other gyms or at least using a different Evolve. I am very disappointed.

Negative experience: I am 63 years old and have been a member for nearly 5 years. I was just given 30 days notice that the equipment I use will be taken away. The notice wasn’t even communicated through Evolve management, I had to hear it from my coach. Totally unacceptable. There was no line of communication through Evolve management. Very sad and disappointed ☹️

Negative experience: Evolve Dt has an active Strongman club with many people of various backgrounds, ages, and abilities that has been one of the most inclusive spaces I have been apart of. The management of the facility sent a notice about removing equipment and limiting access for the club. I guess a club filled with people of ages from early 20s to 60s, of different identities, that actively support each other is not something the management believes is in line with the direction the facility should be going. If you feel like this may be a facility for you to train at, just know there is always the possibility the management may decide YOU are not the target demographic they want and change things to force you out. Would not recommend this facility.

Negative experience: One of my worst experiences ever, there is no any customer support, they are charging for extra for everything, also they don’t follow their policy, more over, if customer face any situation and they charge extra, they don’t help customers just say sry, i personally recommend to everyone who want to join this gym, please don’t go their, it is worthy to pay somewhere else instead of this place.

They took the time to understand my fitness goals and provided personalized recommendations to help me get started on the right track. Their genuine passion for fitness and helping members achieve their goals is evident in every interaction.

Fantastic experience: Was taken here while visiting and couldn't believe the quality of the gym. It's beautiful, the equipment is out of this world. The specialized equipment they have, the space that gives you options of any style of training from powerlifting, olympic and crossfit, or anything in between. If I lived here, I would get a membership for sure.

Negative experience: To the middle aged Asian lady (don't know her name, so no better way to describe her) that works at the front desk, you are bad for business! Your arrogance and nasty attitude ruines the welcoming culture at evolve DT. If you don't like your job please quit. You are honestly the worst agent at the front desk. If you have personal issues, leave them at your house and be professional like others. Its a decent size gym for an intermediate lifter. It's clean for the most part with respectful and nice people. Same music playlist all year!

Fantastic experience: Great gym for what ever type of training you do

Negative experience: Used to love the downtown location, I’ve been going there for years. Can’t recommend these gyms anymore after being effectively banned from every Evolve location, for “complaints of harassment from multiple sources”. Tyler in management took no action to resolve the issue. NO harassment took place, whatsoever - only a lighthearted, private online conversation, outside of the scope of the gym’s responsibilities. One person was involved, and nothing harmful was said. Anyone in the DT community can testify that it’s not my business to harass anyone. After multiple failed attempts to resolve this via email, I left a comment on their social media — and it was deleted shortly after. -1 for management and the company.

Fantastic experience: best location imo (haven’t been to the one in the south but i don’t need to cause i can just tell this one is better). cancelled my membership but i can see myself getting a workout in at this specific location in the future . tricep rope kinda whack tho so is leg extension but if you can look past that its a sick gym. staff are super chill too.

Positive experience: They seem to put more effort into making the walls look nice instead of fixing the platforms. At least they have eleiko bars.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere, well maintained equipment with lots of different kinds of equipment available. Clean, with plenty of cleaning stations so you don't have to wander all over to wipe down the equipment afterwards.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Evolve for over 2 months now and hands down my favorite gym in the city! Very clean, spacious, and most importantly comfortable enough to spend as much time as it takes to complete your workout. I've read some reviews about it getting busy but this haven't been an issue for me as someone who works out in the morning/early afternoon. I think the longest I had to wait for a machine was maybe 5 - 7 mins. As for their staff, everyone there is super friendly and happy to help if you ask. Also, big salute to whoever decided to NOT install mirrors, That's literally one of my many favorite things about this gym! Would highly recommend Evolve Strength to morning/early afternoon gym rats :D

Fantastic experience: Recently returned home to Edmonton for the summer and was in need of a new gym. Came across Evolve after a deep dive of research on the internet and I couldn't be more happy with my decision to join. As someone who HATES being stuck into contracts and has a strong dislike for commercial gyms for this reason, I first off really appreciate Evolve's flexibility in being able to go month to month without one (you can go contract to lower your monthly rate, but they GIVE you the option). I also appreciate that there are no hidden fees (i.e. the pesky start up or "maintenance" fees that most commercial gyms charge you) and they are transparent about that. In terms of the facility itself, the Downtown Edmonton location is a clean, spacious, and ambient modern facility with everything you could ask for. Equipment is in great shape, modern, and just an overall great vibe in there with friendly staff/clientele. There also is underground heated parking which makes the commute much easier. Lastly, the steam room is a major bonus. Overall, a very happy customer so far.

Fantastic experience: I’m currently writing this review from Toronto La Fitness hating my life. I didn’t realize how great Evolve was until I went to another gym. If you’re looking for a gym where you can just focus on your workout and not people eyeing you- Evolve is it. Nobody is here to flex. Evolve is also super clean and has ALL the amenities (the people at LA fitness thought I was crazy for asking for a towel- wait until I tell them my gym also has a meal prep fridge). I can’t wait to be back home and at Evolve. Thank you for all the front staff and the trainers who make going to the gym a great experience. Also for any reviews saying it gets “busy”… y’all have not seen busy until you go to another gym. Never had to wait for a single machine at evolve.

The gym has nice natural light and well air conditioned. If you live in this neighbourhood and don’t have a membership here , you’re missing out.

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite gym in the city, hands down! The space is large, bright, clean and I love the range of equipment they have. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the change rooms are clean and have great blowdryers in them. They recently added a huge heated underground parking lot that’s free for gym members so even in the winter I don’t have any excuse to skip my workout. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with great amenities and immaculate atmosphere. With a focus in strength training, there is a lot of machines and it isn't often that you will need to wait for a squat, deadlift, or bench.

Positive experience: I really liked Evolve and may join again one day. The commitment free membership was a big plus. The equipment is SUPER modern (Some stuff I had no idea how to use, I'm old school) and the steam room is a nice touch. They do keep resistance bands behind the desk, so if you're lazy, just buy your own set and take with you. I do really wish they had mirrors in font of the squat racks. I understand it can help to tune into your body, but for someone like me who has a slight 'S' shape spine and hip misalignment, performing squats without a visual aid can be terrifying. What feels normal to me within my body, is not how the exercise should be performed since my 'normal' is not properly aligned and I'm used to my body being this way. Having a visual reminder helps magnificently. This is my only qualm!

Positive experience: Great gym 4/5. Professional staff. Good environment to get jacked / strong / fit. (Would be 5/5 stars if they had mirrors in front of the squat racks, which is my only complaint)

Negative experience: This gym has gone down hill since Covid. It is one of the filthiest gyms I have ever been in. There is dust everywhere and there is no way it is being cleaned or deep cleaned regularly. The ceiling fans were white, but now they are black from all the dust and they clearly have not been cleaned in months. The bathrooms are not maintained or cleaned regularly. Members DO NOT while down equipment or put equipment away where they found it. We have complained numerous times to the staff and yet the same members continue to not wipe things down or put their equipment away. Often you have to track down equipment for example there is a bar that is marked and it is meant to stay in the landline yet, it is always gone. It sure why it needs to be removed when there are plenty of bars in the gym. The carabiners are always missing??? I have no idea why they are removed or where they go, but clearly the staff do not clean up at the end of the day. The staff are useless, rude, dismissive and they just can’t be bothered to actually work. The staff sit at the front desk and they never walk around to actually see what goes in in the gym. They cater more clients of the BJJ gym or fit body, by allowing them to use the gym for free. It’s super frustrating that this fit body gym staff come out to the evolve gym and takes equipment.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at this gym for a year now and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with the level of customer service and care provided by Andrea. She is truly the backbone of the gym and goes above and beyond to make every member's experience a positive one. From opening the doors every day for early morning workouts, to making sure there are always fresh towels available, Andrea is always on top of things. She has a warm and friendly personality that makes the gym feel like a community, and her attention to detail ensures that everything runs smoothly!

Positive experience: Great gym with top of the line equipment and wonderful facilities. It can get quite busy during peak hours but the sheer number of squat racks makes it more manageable. The only thing that would make this a 5 star review would be making it a 24 hour accessible gym. As a shift worker the weekend hours can be difficult to work around and I find myself frequently unable to go to the gym because of this. Other than that though I have no complaints. The facility is clean and updated. The equipment is top notch, and the staff are friendly and helpful. On site physio, chiro, massage, and personal trainers are a big plus too

Fantastic experience: A glitch at the beginning gave me an opportunity to appreciate the excellent management of this gym. I have never seen a business deal with a problem so quickly. Now that Tyler got it all cleared up, I am glad to have a monthly membership at a fine facility right in my neighborhood. This clean place has well-maintained equipment, excellent changing facilities, and friendly staff members ready to help whenever needed. I look forward to having this as my workout home for a long time to come.

Fantastic experience: This gym was awesome! It was extremely clean and tidy, and all the equipment was top tier! If you love power lifting this is most definitely the gym for you as they have all competition standard equipment. Locker rooms were very nice and clean. Great gym and great workouts!

Positive experience: Nice big facility, they keep it clean. One of the best places to work out for people training powerlifting and strongman. Tons of racks, platforms Eleiko plates, and a huge turf surface. Some of the best trainers in the city are here, and the staff are amazing. Evolve houses a physio clinic and a BJJ studio, so it does get crowded at times. The one downside is they don't have a ton of machines. If you bodybuild and you like the plate loaded machines, you will be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed working out here during the periods when gyms were open during the pandemic, and they were always serious in keeping the gym COVID safe when it was open. I have always liked to go into gyms where I can do my thing in peace and quiet, and I have found that the culture here is friendly, courteous, and professional, and serious for bettering one's fitness and wellness at all stages of one's journey. I recommend this gym if you don't like gym-bro or meatheads, as they do not seem to frequent here, at least in the mornings when I worked out. The staff have always been friendly, diligent, and great communicators when I signed up initially, and when I had to cancel my membership due to my moving to Vancouver. I can only hope to find a gym as nice as this one in Vancouver!

Fantastic experience: I've been attending Evolve DT for about a month and I'm really delighted with the location, amenities, equipment (quality, availability, variety), staff (super friendly, helpful, and professional), and the cleanliness of the gym and change rooms. I also want to give a special thanks to Shay (I hope I've spelled her name correctly!) who is always cheerful and helpful. She spent several minutes with me showing me how to adjust a piece of equipment and use it correctly and safely.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to evaluate the gym, so the manager made me a deal where I could try it out for free for a short time and I was impressed. Unfortunately logistics caused me to decline but that was only because of my personal situation and was not because of the gym itself. The gym, manager's handling of my account and the quality was outstanding. Their ethics are stellar and that is a huge plus. The last gym I was involved with took advantage of Covid and had negative ethics. Not Evolve as I enthusiastically give them five stars for being honest and straightforward.

Fantastic experience: Reasonably priced don't have to sign long term , great trainers. Mix of people not just gymheads, no mirrors on the workout floor which I actually really like.
