Fantastic experience: Very nice owner
Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at this gym for the past year, and working with Kelly has been one of the best choices I’ve made for my health. From day one, she took the time to understand my goals and what works best for me. Her workouts are challenging but doable, and always keep me motivated. I leave each session feeling stronger and proud of the progress I’m making. Kelly is professional, knowledgeable, and encouraging. She knows when to push and when to adjust things, which has helped me stay consistent and avoid injury. I also want to mention Cliff, the manager he’s super friendly and always welcoming. The gym itself is very clean, well-maintained, and has everything you need for a solid workout.

Negative experience: Tried cancelling my membership made my intent clear but wasn’t given the required form until much later after I had to follow up again. Then suddenly, I was told I needed to come in person to “authorize” cancellation. For what? It’s a basic gym membership, not an oath of office.I wasn’t signing a contract to serve the country I just wanted to cancel a recurring payment. The refusal to accept a signed PDF in 2025 is baffling. It’s almost like they intentionally complicate the process to drag out one more billing cycle.the system is designed to make you feel like a liability the moment you try to leave. No flexibility, no ownership of delays on their part just clingy bureaucracy dressed up as “policy.” Wouldn’t recommend unless you plan to stay forever… or enjoy paperwork.
Hi . Coming in to sign a cancellation form is really very standard for a gym membership. It cuts down on people saying I told someone I wanted to cancel or I thought I canceled etc. You would stop in sign the form and we would set your end date. It is really just a 2 min process. How to cancel is also outlined in your membership agreement.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been members of this gym, and we wouldn't choose any other gym over this. Right from the friendly community to the quality of the equipment, from the cleanliness in the gym to the warm staff, this gym ticks all the boxes. Never have we ever entered the gym and not being greeted by Cliff, the manager, or any other staff working there; that's how homely the gym has always felt. People here are supportive and they boost each other, what else do you need!

Fantastic experience: Snap Fitness is a smaller gym. With most of the equipment you would need to successfully lift the only drawbacks from it being a smaller gym is that during peak hours it does seem to get crowded. They do have quite the option for free weights to cardio equipment to chest and back and everyone’s favourite legs. The best aspect of the gym is that it is 24/7. And that the equipment is always maintained and also very clean due to staff and the continued support of the gym goers. It is at a very competitive price point for what you’re actually getting and they don’t try to lock you into a contract. If you don’t want to be in one there is access point from the front and the back and tons of parking I would recommend this gym to beginners and veterans just as the whole entire aspect of the gym and the people in it are amazing.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here for about half a year now and from my experience it's been great. Good clean gym with all of the essentials, machines, weights, and cardio equipment. For people looking for a place to workout this should check most of the boxes

Positive experience: It’s a good gym with amazing employees, but the size of the gym is starting to bother me for the price I pay monthly. It is super frustrating when the gym gets just a little busy and I can’t even use free benches because people are squished together, being in the way of your workout. It would be amazing if this gym expanded in size, especially considering the 50$ monthly and hefty cancelation price.

Negative experience: use to be my favorite place for exercise but not anymore, they have not enough place to keep all machines, could be a security hazard for the customers
Hi, it is important for us to get feedback from our members. As that's how we improve. So thank you for that. We do have a couple of extra pieces that we are trying to find a home for and or not sure about a couple pieces to get rid of. A great way to figure this out would be to email us and let us know what you think so we can discuss it with you. That would help us. As a one-star review on Google only hurts us. I was speaking with the manager and his suggesting to move the super squat over 3 ft and then move the dumbbell racks over 3 ft. Giving a bit more room in between some of the equipment. There is a back extension and a knee raise over by some of the pin selected equipment that is taking up too much room. And I certainly agree with that if that is what you're saying. And definitely we will try to find a solution for that. So if you could send us an email with your suggestion. And we can try to fix it. Perhaps then you would think about adjusting your star rating and we can again be your favorite : ) [email protected]

Fantastic experience: It had been decades since I had hit the gym so was nervous and feeling self conscious. Cliff is always very helpful in offering advice and the atmosphere is so comfortable. Fantastic experience: cliff, the manager at this gym, goes above and beyond for the members and always makes a point to want to get to know you. although it can get busy during the evenings, the members are super nice about letting you work in with them. the gym is also very very clean and has tons of great equipment . the staff also does fun things like riddle of the week, monthly challenges, and star of the month which i think is an awesome way to engage the members. 10/10 gym!!

Hi Ramiar, it is unfortunate you have felt the need to leave this review. In the future before registering for any subscriptions(ie. Netflix, Cell Phone Plan, Health Insurance, Satellite TV, Other Gym Memberships, etc.) make sure to take responsibility and cancel it if you do not want to use it anymore. This responsibility falls on you. Our cancellation process is easy and painless compared to other facilities and subscription types out there. We also waived our 30days notice for you to cancel as a gesture of goodwill, so it is unfortunate that it was not reciprocated. We wish you well regardless, and thank-you for the review.

Negative experience: I had to replace my credit card in December 2021 and was out of the Country for several weeks; therefore, my payments could not be collected. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I could not attend the gym, and two days ago, I got called by a collection company that wanted me to pay 210 dollars, threatening to report me to the credit bureau.
Fantastic experience: Amazing well taken care of gym. Open 24 hours, has great staff and well trained trainers and constantly has new equipment coming in to upgrade

Fantastic experience: I like this gym a lot. Lots of equipment for isolation. The extra fitness room is nice during busy hours for more space. I attended a cross-training class and the trainer was really knowledgable and friendly.

Fantastic experience: This is my favorite gym in Edmonton. I have been to a number of different gyms in the city. Evolve, World Health (multiple locations), LA fitness, Golds, Goodlife and Gymmvmt.... Snap South has been the best experience out of all these gyms in the past decade. What I love: - Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, particularly Cliff and Mason. I really hope the owners know what they have in Cliff, probably the best manager I've ever interacted with in or outside of a fitness facility - Friendly staff all round - Very clean facilities - Great prices, particularly if you pay in full - Great variety of machines, racks, boxes, plyo boxes.. - Nautilus Glute Drive () - Weekly riddles, goals/target and deals - Contests every once in a while (Love these!) - Decent supplement selection, free samples to make sure it doesn't taste like poison - Tanning booth with VERY reasonable prices - I can't speak to the PT's other than that they are very friendly because I have not used their services Areas for improvement (Extremely rare/minor annoyances) - Sometimes the soap dispensers run out on the weekends - Some of the automatic paper towel dispensers don't want to give you more than a single sheet. All in all this is probably the best gym I've ever been to since I started working out in 2004. The value is unparalleled. Yes it can be busy during peak times, but what successful gym isn't? I highly recommend Snap Fitness South.

Fantastic experience: Managers and staff are very welcoming and open. The other people working out have always been friendly too. All in all a great place to go, especially for people new to fitness.
Fantastic experience: Yesterday I called 3 gyms (before the restriction announcement) to inquire about rates and membership options. I was looking for a one month membership and the other gyms were either priced over $140 for a single month, or weren't interested at all in a short term contract. When I called Snap Fitness, Cliff answered my call and listened to what I was looking for and helped me figure out how to do do it. I've never stopped by or worked out at this location but if Cliff is any indication of how they do things, I would recommend it to anyone. Good rates, best service. Well done Cliff, well done.

Having no record of you being a member, we’re unsure where you’re getting this incorrect information of our facility? I can assure you, our lockers do not smell. They’re for day use only and are cleaned out very regularly. As for no equipment, the pictures posted on google of our gym clearly show a very well stocked facility. We also feature many pieces of equipment that you won’t find in a big box gym.Please give us a call or stop by to discuss any issues you have with our facility anytime.
Negative experience: Staff attendants working there have zero ettiquette... while you are working out the will literally stick a vacuum under you which is a huge safety concern.. looks like they are just trying to rush out from their shift. Not nice to the members. Cya snap you lost over poor staff.

Hello Nolan. It is unfortunate that we weren’t a good fit for you Going through your account, I can not see that you tried to cancel twice but in any case wish you well in finding a fitness facility to suit your needs.
Negative experience: Scammers... basically as bad as a multi level marketing scheme. Once you are a member they try and get you to sell the membership to friends and family.. and when you finally do they dont honor the referral.. on top of that the lady at the counter has terrible etiquette and not polite at all. If you come in with others that have a membership she makes you scan and then shut the door on your group. Then makes them wait and do it again in. -30 temperature. Great way to treat a customer that you are pulling from their bank account 40$ every 2 weeks. Cancelling and moving on. Great job snap your receptionist lost you another client.
If you are a member at our Snap come see me about this, because I would be more than happy to give you some free time and a sincere apology if even one of these things ever happened here. I don’t even know where to start, I think this was a different place your talking about. Odd that we can’t find you in our system as a member or even a guest?There is zero multilevel marketing, all members have scan cards so there is no waiting outside at all, and our memberships are half the price you said you were paying. I am at the front desk most nights and we let everyone in immediately when new people or guests arrive. I have never seen any of these things happen at Snap Fitness Edmonton South.
Negative experience: Down 20 lb in 3 weeks after a friend offered to help me get into shape for my wedding. Then today they cancelled my membership. Will be finding a better gym. One that encourages fitness not money in the pocket of the owners. I would not have gotten a gym membership had said friend not encouraged me. But they are just after crazy trainer fees. How dare someone have a friend to help.
Jesse, Snap Fitness Corporate does not allow members to act as personal trainers. Which if given the chance, Cliff would’ve explained to you before you verbally attacked him and hung up. Both you and your friend have signed membership agreements that state this clearly. We take member safety very seriously and unless your friend is employed by Snap Fitness, is a CERTIFIED personal trainer he is NOT insured to be training ANYONE in our facility. For insurance and liability reasons this is not allowed. This was also already explained to your friend at another Snap Fitness facility weeks ago. You likely won’t find other facilities in the city that allow this either.We want all of our members to have a positive workout experience and ultimately reach their goals. We have many tools inside the gym to help members reach their health and fitness goals. MyFit HIIT workouts run 24/7 upstairs in the functional room and we offer free workouts with certified personal trainers that will create a workout plan for you to maintain. The community is solid, the facility is extremely clean, membership pricing is competitive, and the staff are friendly and member-focused. Management has been known to bring in supplements and products that members request - even if it's something they don't carry or usually stock - just for the sake of member convenience and providing quality service. If you're looking for more of a boutique, down to earth and family-run feel, then this is the gym for you.
Fantastic experience: As a person that didn’t have the knowledge of how to work out, I really appreciated the generosity, dedication and commitment from the team at Snap Fitness. The ownership and team has not only been committed to helping me live a healthier lifestyle but helping me be happier with the person that I am everyday. This is my third stop at being a gym member and I can happily say that this will be my last stop. It’s a great feeling to be able to go to a gym and have the people care more about you than they do themselves. Can’t say enough about the unbelievable team at this location.

Fantastic experience: I've been at SNAP Fitness Ellerslie for 10 years now, and have loved every single moment of it! Location is convenient. The staff are really nice and welcoming. The gym is always clean, and there is a high variety of equipment for members to use. This location has a strong community feel to it with its friendly members, which helps to alleviate initial anxiety when entering a gym for the first time. I strongly recommend checking out this gym, you will not regret it one bit.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending this facility for almost 6years and I personally know the current and previous owners. It’s always had a great atmosphere with very friendly members. Has a very homey and community feeling. Everyone is always working hard to keep the place clean. I really love the MyFit HIIT workout videos in the functional training room upstairs. Highly recommend this gym.
