Fantastic experience: Great place for lots of activities

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful facility to have in this city. It was being well utilized with soccer games and athletic activities happening. Prince Albert should be extremely proud of this place and the family that got it going. Very impressed!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Shot archery provincials at Alfred Jenkins its a beautiful facility! Could use more parking but Archery provincials is a huge event with lots of people may not be a factor otherwise.

Fantastic experience: Very good multi use recreation centre. A beautiful walking track upstairs that is accessible by elevator for those with limited mobility. Very good place to get some exercise when its icy or too cold outside

Positive experience: The Alfred Jenkins Field House has a variety of outdoor play equipment which includes a beautiful play center for children. It has a rubber ground cover under all swings, slides activity areas so it's very safe. We had lots of fun with our grandsons there recently

Fantastic experience: It has a large indoor soccer field, climbing wall and gymnasium. There also are numerous workout machines. The top floor around the soccer field is an excellent indoor walking track. Outside is Canada's largest playground that is very handicap friendly. Also outdoor basketball courts, soccer fields, sand volleyball pits, and a workout area. Lots of paved parking. It's connected to the rotary trail which is a paved path that circles the entire city

Negative experience: my experience at this place ruined my mood, very not what i expected. My friend was trying to exercise for her volleyball tryouts but we weren’t allowed to exercise for some particular reason. I’m complaining because everyone else was using them but not us, cause this one lady won’t allow us out of all people, When my friend was on the track, the lady stopped her for no reason and kicked her off the track, when my friend told me about it, we noticed she was looking at us till we left, while the others was able to go on the track without having to ask. Then it happened twice when we were trying to use the matrix machines, told us to get off again. We just sat and had to do nothing when me and her were just trying to exercise like everyone else. The lady looked like a janitor and looked like an old grumpy karen. Basically if she was a karen and we were indians then she probably racist. Always remember be aware of your surroundings and people like that, cause no person must be treated like that, we are all suppose to be equal.

Fantastic experience: Many activities including soccer, rock climbing and basketball. Nice outdoor gym and volleyball court.

Negative experience: *1 star as a child’s birthday party facility* I do not recommend their facility for children’s birthday parties! I would have not gone with the field house had I known they wouldn’t provide more than 8 balls on the weekends. Despite being told the opposite upon booking, they kept all kid toys/games locked in the cupboard and said they don’t open it on weekends. Why do they host children’s birthday parties if they won’t provide appropriate toys for the kids to play with? On top of this they gave me a different room than what they showed me. My expectations of hosting our 4 year olds birthday party were quite high as we frequently visit the well kept field/playground and have a lot of fun. It was a let down and to spend over $200 for a birthday party here was totally not worth it.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to take your kids for an afternoon of fun. They have the COOLEST playground I've ever seen anywhere. Then they added the awesome new obstacle course which is really challenging. The photo is the first part of the course. They also have a gym, gymansium and climbing wall. If you want to know what they have to offer. Speak to someome at reception there.

Fantastic experience: Alfred Jenkins field House is an excellent hub for Prince Albert. We recently were there to watch our young grandsons soccer game and the facility and grounds are so well maintained and staff and volunteers exceptional. So much fun cheering on the budding athletes!

Negative experience: Looks like a very nice and clean facility. Very disappointed to find out there is not any program offered for those with low incomes or disabilities to help cover the cost of the fees. Many other places if you're low income etc you can get into the facilities for free. Very disappointed with this not being the case in Prince Albert.

Negative experience: Disappointing staffs. I have been to AJ for the past 5 years. However, I cannot give this place more than a one-star rating. The staffs, especially the two older ladies have not only been unfriendly, but also rude. They have yelled at me and my friends numerous times. Yes, sometimes we make mistakes (hanging on the rim, spilling water, etc) and it is the staffs' responsibility to correct our mistakes, but please do it politely. Do not yell at us. If they read this review, they will probably know who I am but I want everyone who is considering to attend AJ to be aware of the rude staffs that gave me unpleasant experience. My family pays taxes and part of those taxes goes to those staffs salary. Honestly, this makes me upset. They work in a public building facilitated by the City. I'm not asking for staffs to smile at us every time. I just think they should at least be polite and have basic business manners since they work in public.

Positive experience: Always a great time at Alfred Jenkins. The weight is slacking a bit, but the track is really good for sprinting. The other people in public are always respectful and always appreciate the respect back. Nice facility all in all. Prepaid drop-ins are the way the go and are priced fairly.

Positive experience: Great facility just don't plan to eat at the canteen. Their fries are uncooked chunks of potatoes with some terrible kind of seasoning on it. We bought two orders and threw 1 and a half out.

Negative experience: Great facility but the communication and scheduling is appalling... multiple times we've called ahead to use the soccer field and the schedule was wide open. After driving 45 minutes to use the soccer field we were let down to find out that a local soccer team took the field and according to the front desk they come in and take the field wholly without scheduling.. completely unacceptable!.. again... this has happened multiple times.

Positive experience: Has a great basketball court but it's always booked for volleyball. The equipment is all old but if you bring your own it's really fun.

Negative experience: Excellent facility but 2 staff members were very rude to me and my family. The older lady at the counter has quite the mouth on her and seemed to be purposely withholding information from me. We came to climb but she said it was already in use, so we came back later and she made no mention of having to book the wall. So we come back for the 3rd time and she says "Oh yes you have to schedule appointments for the wall", so why the heck didn't you mention that when I was there earlier The short guy they have running the rock climbing wall was also very rude. I can't count how many times I seen him roll his eyes or make comments to the 13 year old I was looking after. He told the 13 year old "WOW YOU HAVE BIG FEET!". Imagine hearing that as a child coming from a stranger??? That would be so embarrassing, plus having to be around him for the next hour. This unacceptable behavior for anyone, especially staff. This was their first time climbing and the instructor got mad at him for picking up the harness to put it on when he didn't tell him he had to step into it. When our time was over he was shouting at the 13 year old to take his shoes off while he was sitting down obviously trying to take them off. Please talk to your staff members about keeping a friendly atmosphere for ALL GUESTS because those 2 make me not want to come back anymore.
