Positive experience: I enjoyed the gym. It’s a good facility a little bit on the older side.

Positive experience: Just moved to Collingwood from Orillia and was looking for something like the rec center here and saw that the YMCA also had a Play Group Open Gym for toddlers...however, I was very disappointed...when we went nothing was set up (had to ask someone to) and then disappointed again when seeing the equipment/toys they had for the kids was old and not working well. All the plasma cars didn't ride well, not even 1 was rideable. All my son has been asking for since moving here is the rec center cars. It would cost the Y probably $300 for some a couple new ride on cars and new plasma boards (used even on FB market!) And that would make such a difference. These kids need something like that especially come winter time.

Negative experience: Other ymca's are better equipped than this one For the money, it's not such a good deal. Also, no student rates are available for visiting students. The have to buy an adult day pass.

Fantastic experience: The Collingwood YMCA is great! The staff are amazing! They keep the place well organized and clean. There is a very friendly environment with a great community feel. It offers a wide variety of programs so everyone can find something they like. I go often and always enjoy myself. Thank you Collingwood YMCA!

Negative experience: Why was it so hard to register for camp. My husband and I both tried while at work, and we kept on getting error message. When we called, they said we couldn't even be put on the waitlist. Had to do it online. Now at 8:30pm, still giving me an error message. Why couldn't they just add us to the waitlist when we called. Sooo frustrating. I hope someone reaches out. I will stop by tomorrow, but the customer service lacks.

Negative experience: Gym is not bad but timing’s are really odd they closed very early and even today on monday they are closed If someone is free between 6 to 9 go ahed only on weekdays though forget about weekends

Negative experience: I've been trying to get a hold of someone at the Collingwood YMCA for months. I went in and cancelled my membership 6 months ago and i'm still getting charged biweekly to this day. No one will return my calls and no one ever picks up the phone when I call. I'm so frustrated.

Positive experience: Lots of age restrictions fie equipment and pool. Ring ahead to clarify if your kids need supervision if your kids are your primary reason for going.

Positive experience: I did not use facilities there. I was there to vote. I was very impressed with the layout and the number of machines available

Negative experience: Customer Service here at The ymca is really going down hill..One person at desk tied up doing memberships while 8 + ppl waiting just to get a day pass….Time to maybe find a different facility

Nilusha, the manager on duty, was super helpful on the phone and even insisted I come by any time to check the place out, I ended up stopping by that evening and she toured the place with me and answered all of my questions. Things appeared well-kept and clean, though I noticed the gym doesn't have a smith machine which is kind of unfortunate. Overall I had a great experience and I plan to sign up for a membership this coming week. I hope all the staff here are as kind and helpful as Nilusha! Definitely suggest visiting.

Negative experience: What is going on with this location!? I’ve been trying to call for 3-4 weeks. Leave messages. Don’t get a response. Try to get anyone on the phone is absolutely impossible now. We’ve been simply trying to get her daughter back into swim lessons with absolutely no information. And absolutely no one to talk to you. Very disappointing as we are all paying members in our household

Fantastic experience: Favorite gym and community center in Collingwood with a excellent aquatics and life guard program. Same place with lots of attention to detail that are up and running after COVID. They have some of the most dedicated staff and are very focused on members.

Negative experience: I'm just curious if anyone knows how to get in touch with an actual person regarding a wrongful charge? I've called the facility multiple times and left messages but I have yet to hear anything back. I know it's all closed for the stay-at-home order but I was curious if there was another way to talk to someone about these charges?

Positive experience: So a monthly membership is about $2 per day, but a daily pass is $12 per day, a 500% increase. That's crazy. Lower your price and I'm sure a lot more people would do daily workouts. Everything the cities do like swimming or skating is $4‐5. Why does the Y, which is supposed to be for the community, jack up their prices so much?

Negative experience: Horrible hours, too expensive, terrible music, constantly under repair. The vast majority of the staff are very judgey, ignorant people as well. It felt like they wished they had a lunk alarm like at planet fitness. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I'm a member of 17 years as well, the majority of the crew operating the gym post covid are just horrible.

Positive experience: A great facility if you go in the slower times. When it's busy there are packs of kids monopolizing the machines while they scroll on their phones. There are rules posted that everyone just ignores and no one enforces.

Positive experience: It's a ok place they give out towels for 2 dollars and have a change room just for adults it's clean and has a modern edge to it you can have geusts but only 4 visits per geust per year parking lot could be a little bit bigger lots of equipment too so you don't have to worry the lighting is great the lobby is big a little too big the place also has a pool and a basketball court and a small room for yoga or whatever
