No matter your fitness level, our team of coaches is excited to help you achieve your goals. Our second-to-none community is also welcoming and will encourage you along your health and fitness journey.

Our classes provide you with a fun yet challenging way to incorporate Olympic weightlifting, strength training, cardio, and mobility into your daily routine, encouraging functional fitness and independence later in life.

Raised here on Prince Edward Island, Cayla grew up playing a number of different sports. Taking on leadership roles in hockey, soccer, and rugby, Cayla’s love for coaching and community sparked at an early age. “Staying active with a community or a team is so important to me, it’s what gets me through life’s obstacles”.

In her early 20’s she moved to Edmonton, Alberta. It wasn’t long after her move that she started working at a gym and got certified to train clients. Although work took up a major part of her life out there, some fun was definitely earned! During her stay in Edmonton, Cayla played Australian rules football, ran a half marathon in Banff, raced in the Tough Mudder in Drumheller, and competed in the Alberta BodyBuilding Association! Trying new activities is what she loves to do!

“I am so grateful to have found Kinetic Fitness, after my first workout I knew I wanted to be a part of this community. Everyone was so friendly it felt like a team. It didn’t take me long after to figure out I wanted to get in on some coaching action again!” Cayla recently got her CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (Online) certification so she continues her dream job of coaching others and helping you reach your fitness goals!

Ryan was one of the OG members of Kinetic Fitness when the doors opened on Queen Street back in 2016, and he’s been a mainstay at the gym ever since. After spending a few years under a heavy barbell, swinging from a pull-up bar, walking around on his hands, and competing in CrossFit competitions across the Maritimes, Ryan finally pulled the trigger on completing the CrossFit Level 1 Online course to get his CF-OL1 certification in 2020.

When he’s not coaching or training at Kinetic Fitness, you’ll probably find Ryan on a ball field or watching his beloved Red Sox, eating or making delicious food, riding bikes, or playing music at venues across Prince Edward Island.

Born and raised on PEI, Julie has always been a very active person. She loved the outdoors, organized sports, yoga, surfing and biking. But after college, she realized that she fell into a busy and unhealthy lifestyle that also got in the way of doing what she loved most. She decided to hop on a journey to become a healthier person.

After making some changes, she saw the benefit it had, mentally and physically. So from that day on, she made it her life’s purpose to help others feel the same. She got certified, worked in gyms and with fitness companies. over a decade later, she is still very passionate about fitness and helping others in their journey. Julie is PEI’s only certified Animal Flow instructor, obtaining her L1 while she was cooped up at home during COVID lock-down and is currently working towards her L2!

Today, Julie calls Kinetic Fitness her fitness home. ” It’s like a family here. It’s a community, it’s people helping others, no matter what fitness level you are.”

Amila started her career in the fitness industry in the summer of 2013. After spending 2 years of developing her own HIIT programming, she decided to bring her short, intense and easily modified workouts to the masses!

Amila is now the Owner of Kinetic Fitness and spends most of her time focusing of the new moms and moms-to-be in the Kinetic Community. Amila is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach and having given birth to two children, is very well aware of the importance of returning to fitness safely after birth as well as training safely while pregnant. Working closely with a pelvic floor health specialist, Amila is your go-to gal for all of your pregnancy and postpartum fitness needs!

It was Amila’s dream to shift the focus in the fitness industry from one that is mainly vanity driven, to a stronger focus on functional fitness and developing ability level.

“Don’t worry about how good you look when you show up for class, it’s not something we focus on here, just show up and work to your fullest ability level. Keep your mentality positive, encourage others, and let others cheer you on as you achieve your goals. We are all in this together!”

Jamie has been a part of Kinetic since day one! First as a member and then, after becoming a certified group fitness leader through Fitness NB, she led her first class in 2017 and has been coaching a variety of classes at Kinetic ever since.

Whether she’s in the gym to coach, attend a class, or just hang out, you can be sure that Jamie will be cheering you on, encouraging you to step outside of your comfort zone (even just a little bit) and she’ll be super pumped about all of your successes!

If you ask Jamie what her favourite thing about Kinetic is, she’ll tell you that it’s the community. No matter who you are or where you are in your fitness journey, you’re always welcome here and we’ll do everything we can to make sure your time here is the best part of your day!! ????

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and equipment, instructors that know their clients and know the importance of proper body mechanics/being safe/modifying exercises when necessary. There are a wide variety of different types of classes, and the owners/instructors are such a knowledgable and motivating group of people that are fun To be around! Working out at kinetic is like being part of a team. No one gets left behind, and everyone motivates each other. Great for newbies who need thorough explanations and demos, but also challenging for elite athletes looking for an environment that they can give it 100% and achieve their goals.
