Fantastic experience: My friend initially brought me along to this gym over the course of my non-member free trial, which lasts 7 days. The gym itself is rather large on the inside, despite appearing fairly compact outdoors. Thus far, the clientele have been friendly and focused on their workouts otherwise. Machine and non-machine equipment is always clean and reset/placed back following usage, I’m yet to see anything strewn around. The member sign up process itself was smooth, fairly quick, and unobtrusive. Staff is *very* accommodating and generous with regards to pricing. Looking forwards to spending time at this gym!

Fantastic experience: Been going to this location exclusively now, as Anytime Fitness - District (Country Hills & Deerfoot) has the cheapest owners. Pleasantly surprised by the Beddington location. Learned about adding the pass to Apple Wallet (so much easier). Keep the good work up!

Negative experience: I’ve been a member here for four years. Very consistent. I’ve recently seen the gym take a turn for the worst, while fit4less recently just opened this month across the parking lot, you would think the gym would try to keep its loyal members and consistency. Their has been recent staff and management change, their never seems to be any consistent staff or anyone available. At least when Dar was manager someone was always available at the gym who knew what was going on weather it was Dar or John. The gym before seeemed very personal, everyone knew everyone, we would all have the same schedule work out together, the staff used to come out and talk to us and help give us suggestions. I’ve recently encountered two notices on the door at lunch stating staff has run out and will be back at a certain time. John is amazing and knows each individual at the gyms and takes the time to get to know everyone. The new staff changes, they never greet you? The office door is always shut as if they’re doing their own personal work. The front area itself is cleaner, the gym equipment hasn’t been cleaned since the staff stabbed and or under the equipment, there is zero paper towel, especially on a Saturday night or Sunday when their is no attendant and no more cloths, a member of four years to never get greeted coming in or out of the gym to new staff members is crazy.

Negative experience: I finally reached my breaking point. The gym has decent equipment and maintenance, but they really need to address the access issue. Every couple of months, the fob reader goes out of commission, leaving me unable to enter and use the gym. What’s the point of paying for 24/7 access if I can’t use it anytime? The last month or two were a fountain issue that took days for them to even put a dispenser in place while it was under maintenance.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out at the Anytime Fitness Beddington for close to four months now, and I must say I am now obsessed with this gym. It’s a really spacious and clean gym with a fresh ambiance all the way to the bathrooms, has well-maintained contemporary and diverse equipment, and the staff are really friendly. They have this beautiful purple turf (my favorite), where you can do your cardio in peace and away from the rest of the weightlifting activity, or even laze about on phone when you aren’t feeling up to it…yet. I also love their AI-based Anytime Fitness App — it helps tailor-make workout routines for you, based on your fitness goals. Basically, you can workout like a pro even when you are new to gym, after all, the embedded videos are showing you what to do. Plus, you can show up any time of the day or night since it’s open 24 hours. And the icing on the cake is that the gym is at the Beddington Towne Centre, a mall with a variety of shopping options, including Safeway, many restaurants, TD Bank, et al, in case you want to buy anything after working out. I highly recommend Anytime Fitness Beddington. You will not be disappointed. Their location is 8120 Beddington Blbd NW #314, Calgary, AB T3K 2A8. Enjoy your workout.

Positive experience: The gym itself was a great place to work out, and I enjoyed my time there overall. However, I did experience some frustration with how the membership cancellation process was initially handled by the staff. After running into some difficulties with others, Selene stepped in and completely turned the situation around. (I apologize if I’ve spelled her name incorrectly.) She was incredibly professional, efficient, and empathetic, making the entire cancellation process smooth and stress-free. Selene's excellent customer service and dedication were truly appreciated, and I’m grateful for her patience and support in resolving the issue.

Fantastic experience: Great place, nice and quiet almost all the time. Equipment is in good condition and the gym is always clean, everyone i've encountered have been pleasant and polite. The staff there are absolutely wonderful (John, Josie & Jen).

Negative experience: I joined 3 months ago and I have seen the place take turn for the worst in this short time. Treadmill stay broken for far to long. Water fountain hasn't worked in weeks. They got rid of the shoe rack and replaced it with floor mats. Cleaners don't come in on the weekends, so the bathrooms are gross on mondays. On the plus it's not often busy, take that for what it is. Equipment is ok, definitely missing some key peaces for a gym this size. Could be a lot better for minimal cost to management.

Negative experience: I have had nothing but bad experiences with this gym. A year ago, I tried to transfer my membership over to a friend because I had moved cities and hadn't been able to use it in 4 months. The staff were not there multiple times during operating hours. When someone was there, I was told they couldn't do the transfer because they "ran out of forms". When I suggested freezing the account until they got more forms, the employee dismissed it as "pointless" because it would be sorted within the next billing cycle and would barely save me money. Yet here I am, a year later, having paid almost the entirety of my two year contract, majority of which I was not even in the city for. I had had enough of this and submitted a cancellation on January 23 to their email, and in no uncertain terms rescinded my consent for the auto renewal of my contract. A week later, I had received no response, so I forwarded it to the managers email as well, in case it was lost somehow. It is now Feb 13, and I was charged yet again, with no sign that they have even begun the cancellation process. I cannot emphasize enough how much this gym is not worth it. Not only did they sign me on while I was a minor, but have made it impossible for me to get rid of this useless membership. Do not go here.

Negative experience: After my one year contract completed,and I have moved to sw area I contacted my local branch to cancel the membership as I became so busy. I was told that cancelation form will be sent to my email,but when they check I was registeres in the beddington one .Forthat reason, they advised me to I have to cancel it from beddington. Thereafter, I contacted beddington one,but they told me I have to come in person for cancelation instead of sending cancelation form like the south waste one.Then I went in person and I explained the reason for cancelation, and said ok but expect two three times charges from my account then it will stop just verbal no cancelation form. I was suspicious and I was right as continued withdrawing non stop, and the only option bank told me is to cancell my 5 year bank account. You see the scam.

Negative experience: This a location to avoid. I had the hardest time even signing up because no one was ever available to do the paperwork. Then after moving it took forever to cancel my membership- once again because the manager had to approve it and they were never around. To top it all off I was charged for an extra 2 weeks and it took forever to get them to reverse that charge. My advice is to find a gym with more responsible management.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the gym since it has opened 3 1/2 years ago I have felt very comfortable and accepted Darrius and John are very professional and they are good at what they do When I was training with Darrius and John, they adjusted the exercises to my ability and now I use these same exercises in my routine at the gym. I like to see that street shoes are not permitted in the gym to workout, this way everyone are doing their part to keep the gym clean. The gym is kept very clean and the equipment is kept in good condition It's a Great Atmosphere that keeps me motivated to keep working out I highly recommend this gym as it is affordable and a Great place to work out

Negative experience: My first and only Google review. This Anytime Fitness location is an absolute disappointment and should be avoided at all costs. The staff's rude and dismissive attitude makes every visit unpleasant, while management's complete lack of professionalism shows in their failure to address member concerns or maintain basic facility standards. Save your money and dignity by choosing literally any other gym in the area.

Negative experience: This gym makes me want to be unhealthy They charge you $250 if you forget to change your shoes And you can’t cancel your membership for atleast a year? Thats the most ridiculous thing ever. Now I’m stuck with a terrible gym for a year, that charges my card randomly The staff are horrible in the way they present themselves and manners to gym goers The place is way to much money considering the lack of basic basic equipment They never check the suggestions box either And THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD RANDOMLY!!! Negative experience: Easily the worst gym in Calgary, I had to get a new credit card 3 times because of the gym cancelling my card. They have an extreme lack of equipment, not even the basic bench press. They have no lockers either or showers. The price is more than most gyms in Calgary. This gym is so bad it is infuriating Do not get a membership here!!! For your own mental health Also, the gym workers are rude asf and you get random charges that you dont know where it comes from

Negative experience: Gym itself is of a good standard. A decent amount of equipment in a small area. It's kept very clean and tidy by the staff in there. All staff members are generally friendly and willing to help out. My official complaint is when I moved from Canada back to Australia I was told to just freeze my account and email the gym to unfreeze it when I got to Australia to begin using anytime again in Australia. It's been over a week consisting of 3 separate emails and numerous calls with me still being no further forward on this. The woman who I've been in contact with is not to blame for this as she says it's out of her hands and has been nothing but forgiving and friendly over the phone and when we met in person. It has to be the gym manager. She has forwarded my emails and rang him/text to get to do this "2 minute job" but I've still not heard anything back. Even visiting an anytime in Australia and being locked out, completely wasting my time. Having to chase this up so often when I'm in a different country is quite frankly ridiculous. They do not respond to emails or calls. Sign up to a different anytime so you don't have to deal with management here.

Negative experience: I’ve moved across the city and needed to cancel my membership. They informed me over the phone that I MUST come in person to fill out the paperwork. As I live far from this location I asked if there were any other alternatives, then confirmed the hours for this weekend. Came at 1:00pm on Saturday and there were no staff present, when there’s only 4 office hours scheduled (10-2). We drove across the city and don’t have another day we’re able to make this journey. I guess they’re intentionally making it impossible to cancel. Beware.

Negative experience: Came in with my partner. Staff just instantly assumes “I didn’t scan”. I literally pulled out my phone, scanned and it beeped. What more do you want? And comes up to me as if I committed a crime or something. Like don’t come up to me with an attitude as if we’re close and you know me. For some reason assumed I “missed a payment”. Lol with what proof? My home gym hasn’t contacted me regarding any missed payments. Anytime fitness is just horrible overall. I’m glad I’ve cancelled my membership. Please don’t go here.

Negative experience: terrible and poor administration

Fantastic experience: I was a bit hesitant to sign up at first since I used to go to a bigger recreational centre-YMCA, before covid. Was worried that AF might not meet my expectations in the long run. But now im almost 3 years in at Anytime Fitness, and I absolutely love it. I like the tight-knit community. Most of the members here are super friendly and have great gym etiquette. The staff is amazing too. Shoutout to Theo H.-he always goes above&beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and supported in their fitness journey. It can get pretty crowded during peak hours, but the staff does an excellent job keeping the space clean and organized. I gotta point out Beddington location isn’t the fanciest AF I’ve been to, but it’s hands-down my favorite. Pros: Affordable fees, 24/7 access, Good variety of equipment, Great community, Convenient location Cons: Limited equipment in comparison, Poor ventilation (especially in the washroom),No big towels available

Fantastic experience: I travel a lot for my job. Anytime Fitness was an easy choice for me because of all their locations nationwide. What I didn't expect to find was so many amazing staff willing to go the extra mile for you and make you feel at home. This place was spotless. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: WARNING: The staff here practices unjust and prejudicial treatment towards members. Recently, a staff member pulled me aside and threatened me with a $250 fine for not changing my gym shoes while working out. After working out at different Anytime Fitness locations for the past four years, this is the first time I have been threatened with a fine. At this location, they have placed a sign by the front door that says, “Welcome, please remove street shoes.” However, it isn’t clear that you must bring a separate pair of shoes with you every time you use this location. It’s understandable in the winter for the need to switch out your shoes to keep the gym clean. However, it’s an unrealistic expectation to have every member always bring two pairs of shoes with them, as that may be a luxury that not everyone can afford. The staff here also has a history of being unprofessional. They have been known to gossip and make fun of certain members. Something to be careful of if you're new to this location.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness has completely changed my workout routine for the better! The fact that it's open 24/7 means I can fit in a workout anytime, no matter how crazy my schedule gets. The gym is always spotless, and the equipment is top-notch. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help, which makes a huge difference. The community vibe here is fantastic, everyone is so supportive and encouraging. Whether you're just starting out or a fitness pro, this place has everything you need. I genuinely look forward to my gym sessions now. Highly recommend Anytime Fitness!

Negative experience: Theo Hendricks needs to be let go, he took mine and a couple of other members shoes and hid them in a closet. These are my work shoes now I have no shoes for work. Never seen behaviour like this any where

Negative experience: Just joined week ago and there is no access to get in since 12th July evening.. That’s really dissatisfied and disappointed

Negative experience: Stuffy and hot. Do not see an AC, ventilation does not work, just couple selling fans. That is not enough for relatively small place. It is 5 people in a whole gym, it's 15*C outside, and it is already not much oxygen left.

Fantastic experience: I thought I'd post an update to my previous review below now that I've been a member for a year. This facility is great and I am more than happy that I joined Anytime Fitness in Beddington. I highly recommend this location to everyone. I signed up to Anytime Fitness just over a month ago and thought I'd wait to write a review so I could properly assess this facility.  During the 7 day free trial they offered me, I asked other patrons what they thought of this place and every single person gave it a positive review so that's why I joined.  It's been a great experience so far and I've been able to work out more often because it's open 24/7. My old gym was a city run facility that closed on holidays and had limited hours that didn't fit with my schedule. It's been terrific the be able to do late night workouts to help keep my health on track.  This place is spacious, has more equipment and better equipment and is clean and tidy. The staff are great especially Darius, the manager.  The other members I've met are super friendly so I'm glad I made the switch.

Fantastic experience: Your cleaning staff does a very good job. My trainer is extremely knowledgeable, and works well with me to adjust exercises to accommodate my abilities. I look forward to my workouts!

I feel bad for how I have seen people treat one of the staff members and from what I have heard, upper management is not defending him. It's truly sad because he is a really great person. Hope they realize that they will be losing a fantastic employee when he has had enough of their abuse.

Negative experience: Tons of space with nothing in it. Only 2 adjustable benches for a gym of this size is wild. The smith machine hasn’t been oiled and it’s basically useless. Poor cardio selection

There are no people that work out there with perfect bodies and no competition. Daris and John are very good at what they do they make the patron feel very at ease. They are both very honest and understanding. They answered evey quistion i had. Very knowledgeable Plus it is reasonable to keep a membership at at anytime fitness.

Negative experience: I really don't know what's up with this place, I signed up for a free day 7 pass and can't get a hold of them by email or phone. I've called and left a few messages now. So I ended up going to the Symons Valley location where I found out you can sign up for a free 7 day trial and you will get an email telling you to come in, but they won't honour the pass. Not sure if this is why this location doesn't answer the phone or emails, either way it would be nice if they could fix that issue, or just answer the phone to let you know they aren't honoring the pass anymore. I don't see myself ever going to an anytime fitness after this.

Negative experience: It’s an OK gym. They’ll push you to pay for a trainer which is fine. But then they’ll ask for medical/health related questions advising you that they’re kept confidential, which they’re not. The potential trainer you may talk to might share that information with some guy overseas, while you were thinking only your potential trainer would know them. Then together they’ll use that information to trick you into paying for a trainer. The whole thing was totally unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Negative experience: There was no staff during staffed hours. I had shown up at about 2:45pm planning to do a drop in and there was nobody there even though the staffed doors were open and it was their advertised staffed hours. The office had a little sign saying the person was out of office until 5:30pm. I waited around in case there was other staff who were just busy but after around 10 minutes I left. I also tried calling a few times throughout just in case that was better, no luck their either. Honestly the gym looked like it would have been good if anyone had been there. I’m not sure if this is a regular thing or I got unlucky. Edit: upon looking at other reviews it seems that this is not uncommon, others seem to also have issues getting ahold of anyone during staff hours as well.

Fantastic experience: Love coming to this location! Excelling customer service, always clean, and friendly staff! Been a member at anytime for a few years now and although there is an anytime closer to home I usually drive out of my way to work out at the Beddington location.

Negative experience: I have been here a few times, I think mostly on weekends, and today, the Monday of a long weekend. It's consistently one of the dirtier Anytimes I've been to. On top of not having adequate cleaning materials (the paper towel disintegrates as soon as it gets wet), their bathrooms are usually pretty dirty too, with no toilet paper, wet floors (they don't provide anything to mitigate this). There's lots of spots around the equipment that the staff don't clean, ie hair, dust, rolled up paper, paper towel, etc. Overall, I don't believe it's worth it to come to this location when others are all around better. I'm going to stop coming to this location.

Positive experience: Unfortunately the time I usually go to this gym is around 7-7:30. There are a few groups of young guys who hog a piece or a couple pieces of equipment for a long time. They are loud and obnoxious, they ruin the vibe in there. So many people don't take their damn outdoor shoes off and I have stabbed my hands on rocks on the floor due to this happening all the time. It's pretty horrible.

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout and being available ANY hour is even better..... I arrived to sign up and had Bella talk me through the process, and she took care enough to know my goals and what I would be looking for. Bella was super friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience super easy!

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a gym with attentive staff, great machines, and an all around amazing atmosphere COME HERE! The staff at this location went above and beyond to accommodate my fiancé and I and we are extremely grateful. They are very informative about fitness and the customer service tops the charts. Shoutout to the manager Darrius and his team for their amazing work! We will definitely be back once we return to the country!

Fantastic experience: It is a great place to work out, especially in the early mornings. The security doors finally work, so I'm not freaked out by some random showing up. They have steirlized spray bottles for most people to use as well wipe down cloths to minimize waste of paper towels. In general, machines are pretty clean. I've been here since May 2022, and the machines and seats still look new. The employees here are pretty good, but I rarely see them since I'm always here after hours. I would definitely recommend this place as it's fairly maintained.

Positive experience: Nice gym. Not too busy at night when I go. Door to get it is a bit sticky tho, so hopefully it won't break again. Great water pressure in the showers, and really hot. Lots of equipment and a good selection to target lots of different workout styles.

Positive experience: Was good! Wasn’t dirty like the other one. I went around 730pm and it was nice to see the bathrooms weren’t a hot mess and the gym was not too busy and people were more respectful and actually cleaning the machines from what I could see. However old school with the re usable clothes- eww people leaving them behind- maybe get rid of cloths all together. Sometimes our health precedents the apparent try to be more environmentally friendly, just an observation.
