Fantastic experience: Just started here and LOVING IT. Quiet, small gym. Not as intimidating as other gyms; staff and members are friendy, enough equipment for everyone but not such a large amount that you don't know where to start! They have a 3 day trial program that I highly recommend if you're considering it. One staff in particular, Brooke, was very welcoming and the reason I felt so comfortable starting!

Negative experience: My lower review comes from the front desk service. I have been a member for over 2 years and the quality of service at the front has begun to decrease over the past few months. My biggest concern if the lack of presence at the front desk when a new customer comes in. New customers come in and ring the doorbell and either nobody comes, or it takes 5-10 minutes for someone to come up and greet them. Customers are left awkwardly standing there or it becomes so long they give up and leave. It is really uncomfortable and frustrating- other members or myself will stop our workouts and start knocking on the office, bathroom, or supply closet doors to try and get help. Sometimes someone emerges and sometimes nobody is to be found. Doorbells are located in the bathrooms and around the gym so it should be heard? This scenario has occurred over 10 times when I am present. It is not a good first impression for potential customers.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to open a membership here, Brooke helped me through the process and explained everything in detail. She made sure I understood everything and I definitely felt sure of the commitment. Great equipment and plenty to go around. 24 hours open is very convenient for me. Amazing customer service from Brooke.

The gym is never overly crowded, allowing you to use the equipment you need without waits. The staff is friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Members are respectful and courteous, making it a comfortable place to work out. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Fitness 1440 in Legacy SE Calgary for over a year now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Before joining here, I tried three different gyms but ultimately signed out because they didn’t meet my expectations. Fitness 1440 stands out as it is open 24 hours, making it incredibly convenient to fit workouts into my busy schedule. The trainers are knowledgeable and supportive; they genuinely care about helping you reach your fitness goals. Whether you’re just starting or looking to take your training to the next level, you’ll find guidance tailored specifically for you. The facility itself is well-maintained and equipped with everything needed for an effective workout—free weights, machines, cardio equipment—you name it! Overall, if you’re searching for a welcoming environment where you can work on yourself at any hour of the day or night while receiving top-notch support from experienced trainers after trying others that fell short—Fitness 1440 is definitely worth checking out!

Negative experience: Good gym but after two months or so they charged me twice within two days and the second payment was way nearly double the typical payments and there was no explanation or notice for it. I left a note on their website, and three days later and they haven’t gotten back to me. No transparency in billing, and the lack of warning is brutal when they directly take from your bank account

Negative experience: The worst "customer service" you can get and the scammy practices used to "sign people up for memberships". Beware! They will put you on a month-to-month membership, even when you sign up for a monthly pass (with no recurring fee payment). They will charge you the fees they are not supposed to charge. They charged me THREE times in the last three weeks of March!!! No charges in February (which is logical because we've NOT signed up for any membership with them)! On top of that, they are extremely unprofessional. They will look down at you like they're the smartest ones and you mean nothing to them. They will also prevent you from doing trainings with your friend if you're "teaching" your partner. Absolutely the worst experience! Whoever I spoke to today, the guy with a long hair, had done absolutely nothing to really investigate and resolve their own mistake. Rather just was inappropriately rude, unprofessional, and opposite from being customer oriented.

Positive experience: The gym is great!! Great staff and super clean. Just don’t forget your headphones, this is the lowest volume I’ve ever heard the music at in a commercial gym.

Positive experience: Tried a trial membership when I was looking for a place. Smaller gym but has everything I need and was never terribly crowded. Really convenient I could walk over. I found the value wasn’t there however elected to go somewhere further away which probably saved me $70/ month for two memberships I ended up getting.

Negative experience: Poorly managed - bad customer service, wouldn't recommend. NO STARS ACTUALLY

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for about a year and a half and so glad that I selected this club. There is a good assortment of both keyed and free weights, a turf area for stretching and the group fitness room. It is well maintained and clean. Highly recommend for all levels of fitness. Importantly, I have found all of the staff to be helpful and friendly. A pleasure to be around and makes you want to come back. The clientele that I have met are all great people too.

Fantastic experience: This gym is Calgary's best kept secret. It has amazing equipment (including a hack squat and other machines most gyms lack), it’s very clean, the staff are very friendly, very reasonable rates, you don’t wait long for equipment, and it’s 24/7. Thanks 1440! <3

Inquired about a 10-pass to try, and was told “its not a YMCA, and it takes more than 10 workouts to get in shape”…..disappointing response from someone who presumably wants to build a client base…..so I left

Fantastic experience: Place itself is really compact and gives you everything you need. Staff are awesome and the community is friendly. The gym is practically never overcrowded, so you can get completely vacant equipment all the time. One of the trainers there, Tamara, wrote a workout plan for me that has been fantastic. Intense, fun, and has been helping me see results really quickly! Definitely worth checking out.

Fantastic experience: Fitness1440 has been a game-changer for me! I had minimal experience with physical training, but the gym's encouraging atmosphere made me feel at home. Thanks to my amazing personal trainer, Tamara, I conquered my gym anxiety and achieved incredible results in a short time. Tamara's attentive approach and dedication helped me lose inches on my waist and gain muscles I never thought possible. Fitness1440 and Tamara have transformed my fitness journey, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a supportive gym and a phenomenal trainer.

Fantastic experience: As a fitness enthusiast and part time PT, I’ve been to a lot of gyms. I tried corporate, private, boutique facilities, seen even a wide range of CrossFit gyms, and none matches up to this gym. There are 3 things I look for when I’m at a new facility: cleanliness, accessibility, and variety. And this gym hits all three AND more. I visited this location and met with the general manager Ryan, who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He gave me a tour of the gym, and provided me a day pass. Normally my workouts are 1.5 hours, but I was there for just about 3 hours. The placement of the machines are meticulously designed, and it was spread out enough where you can comfortably do your leg extensions (for example) and not be distracted by anyone super close to you. There’s a circuit station (which I haven’t seen before) and allows you to try various movements, all timed in 24 min. I could go on and on, but needless to say, if you’re a beginner or an advanced athlete, this is a great gym. Oh and last thing: get a smoothie on your way out. It’s delicious!!

Fantastic experience: Such a nice gym! Moved to the area not too long ago and signed up with them. Smooth and easy sign up process and they waived the sign-up fee. For $28/mo you get a turf area, lots of dumbbells and a variety of different machines. Love that it’s a small business as well, they take great care of the facility and their staff and owner are always friendly!

Fantastic experience: Nice gym with decent varieties of quality equipment. Large space and comfortable air quality and temperature. The location is a little bit remote but in general it's a good bang for the buck. Would be nice to have group exercises in a separate room cuz it sometimes limits access to some workout equipment.

Fitness 1440 provides a high quality, diverse group classes and brings a positive and friendly community here in Legacy. Their equipments are in fantastic condition and everyone there is very kind. Fantastic experience: I recently joined this gym after some frustrating experiences with my regular gym with its restrictions on top of restrictions brought on by COVID 19 even after these have been relaxed provincially. Firstly, it’s open 24x7 with little or no additional restrictions apart from requiring members to show proof of vaccination during initial intake. Wearing masks while exercising is not required. You don’t have to pre-book (for additional fee) every visit. Secondly, perhaps due to its 24-hour window, the gym is seldom busy, thus, there’s no line up for all their equipment. Thirdly, the bathroom is well maintained and kept very clean. Although there’s no sauna, there’s shower facilities in case you need to have one before work. Fourthly, the gym itself is well equipped with updated equipment, always kept clean by all users contributing to their sanitary condition before and after use with the hand towels provided at entry, and sanitizers are strategically placed near the equipment and located around the area. And finally, the staff are very friendly without being overbearing. I’m very pleased that I found this place. Going to the gym regularly without the additional hassles is good to both my physical and mental health. Thank you Fitness 1440 for setting up a branch down south of Calgary.

Fantastic experience: It was very clean, new equipment, large and open, a lot of equipment, great place for new and the experienced. It's also great that it is open 24/7. They have added many new machines and equipment since the last time I was here, which is fantastic.

This place is amazing, the equipment is completely state of the art, it is VERY clean, never too crowded and the staff including the personal trainers and managers always welcome you with a smile. This gym has more of a family community feel compared to other companies. 10/10 will be coming here for years. As an added bonus they also seem to get the nicest sunrises in the early mornings ☺️

Fantastic experience: Rita, Mia and DeCarlo are the best motivators! Rhonda is the queen and all other guys at the desk are amazing. The classes are always fun. My workout crew is very supportive. I love everything about this place. Off course, the coffee at the bakery beside on Saturday mornings is on this amazing list too.

Fantastic experience: Extremely well kept gym. The staff are always cleaning or organizing areas. I love the platforms and bumper plates, the turf area is fantastic with lots of fun tools for exercise or stretching. A very welcoming, friendly and spacious gym filled with all the free weights, cable machines, pin selected and plate loaded machines you need. This gym has sparked my love for fitness again.

Negative experience: Not enough plates for the amount of equipment and this is the only gym that's ever told me not to have my bag on the floor. Probably go to the Walden Anytime fitness, employees have more chill and there's and adequate amount of plates

Fantastic experience: I´ve been at the 1440 for a little over 6 months now and it is a nice, well equipped gym. It has everything you need for a full body workout. Never full when I go on the morning. With COVID going on and gyms being shut they even offer outdoor, socially distanced spin classes. Hopefully allowed to open up again soon.

Fantastic experience: Legacy is incredibly fortunate to have this gym in their community. The staff is so professional and welcoming. Their facility is incredibly clean and well taken care of. They have state of the art equipment that I did not have access to at other gyms. They have an awesome variety of fitness classes and have just expanded to include everything you could ever want in a gym. It wouldn't surprise me if people not living in the surrounding community drove out of their way to come here. It is well worth it- highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough good things bout this gym. I started working out here to help get my dad back into fitness and genuinely impressed by cost/value. First thing I'd highlight is the level of cleanliness in the locker rooms and the gym itself. Staff is rock solid, helpful and don't have that phoney customer service smile to them, just good people. All new equipment, and in the time I've been there I've seen new equipment brought in the form of free weights which is right up my alley. As a former athlete this place is rock solid to train at day or night, having a separate room to do yoga/stretch and for me, jump rope which is something I always look for. On top of that, They have turf to train on.... Oh baby, and heavy bags to smack around. Shout out to Ryan for being a rock solid dude, thanks for taking care of my Dad and I. Tl;Dr. If you live in the south just train here, lots of equipment and ways to train, clean, nice people, and never too busy where you don't have room to breathe. And there is turf and punching bags. 24hours is rock solid for this level of gym's which is rare to find. Austin M.
