Negative experience: One of the dirtiest GoodLifes in town. Always ran out of towels, paper towels, and sanitizers. You need to equip with sufficient towels for members if you charge that as part of the membership fee. Shower, washroom and changing room are always dirty. Disorganized management.

Fantastic experience: I have been very impressed by the attention to detail in cleaning that the staff takes. Over the last few months, I have recognized massive improvements in upkeep - this has made my workouts more enjoyable and has motivated me to continue coming. Negative experience: This gym location is so crowded at night. It’s a safety hazard to all people when they walk in the parking lot and also to other vehicles and they don’t have any signs up in the parking lot saying be careful of other cars and they don’t have the giant mirrors to help people driving seethe parking lot is an extreme danger to all people and since this Goodlife fitness doesn’t care about their customers safety they are just waiting for a big lawsuit to come.

Negative experience: So crowded at any time, always towel will be ready in 10 minutes from 7pm till 9pm they didnt have towel! To use any machine you have to wait 10 minutes. Not to mention parking lot is full mostly.

Negative experience: For a long time, they haven’t had any lifeguards, and I only come here because I really like swimming. I pay for my membership, but for several months now it’s been the same issue. This is their problem, not the customers’! They should always have lifeguards available. We shouldn’t have to wait for them to hire one every time. I’ll cancel my membership and my family too.

Fantastic experience: This is by far one of the best GL locations I’ve been to! It’s relatively clean, well-organized, and has a great atmosphere. My friend literally drives out of her way just to come to this location with me because it’s that good A special shoutout to one of the staff members Emil — he’s always so helpful, efficient, and responsive, takes the time to listen to concerns and address them accordingly!! He also takes the time to greet everyone, which is rare to see these days and really makes the gym feel welcoming. Steven, the sales rep, is very friendly and knowledgeable, always there when needed. I also had a pleasure of briefly training with Aida, one of the personal trainers - she is in fact, an extremely caring, passionate and supportive individual, and I truly enjoyed working out with her. Overall, I highly recommend this location!

Negative experience: I’ve been going to this location for years. It’s seems to be going downhill. The change rooms and bathrooms are dirty with towels in piles on the floor. But the biggest change I’m seeing is it’s becoming ‘bro-central’. Loud gym rats yelling to each across the front area and gym spaces, all supported and encouraged by staff. It’s becoming very uncomfortable to be there as a woman - something I’ve never experienced in a gym before.

Negative experience: CAUTION! Make sure you read ALL of their contacts before signing. They are intended to SCAM their members. I’ve been a member for 25+ years. They sold me personal training ($6,100). My Trainer left Goodlife and I still had $800 unused. I hadn’t seen another Trainer I liked so waited. Then COVID and injury so was a couple of years after but I found a Trainer I was willing to work with. Goodlife told me “too bad - your credit has expired”! They basically stole $800 from me. I will NOT be renewing my membership

Negative experience: I wish I could give zero stars for the guy at the front counter with the braid hairs . When you’re standing there waiting, asking for a towel, in a rush and cooling down, he doesn’t even look at you, just holding the club phone in his hand, with zero reaction, not even a nod to show he heard you! And then, when you finally grab a towel yourself (like every late night when no one is even at the counter), this kid, who clearly knows nothing about customer service, suddenly starts yelling at you! What kind of service is that? Rude, untrained, and full of attitude. Absolutely disappointing!!!!

Fantastic experience: I just started visiting this location and had a session with Anne M for body pump and she is an absolute delight. Her energy, attentiveness and ability to motivate the class is outstanding. Even though it was labour day and everyone looked pretty tired she completely changed the vibe I would absolutely love to join her classes in the future its exactly the type of energy I need during my workouts ❤️ Additionally, I would also like to recommend Mihaliea P for pilates and Lesley for cycling classes. Im super happy with the instructors and the vibe here thank you for making it a comfortable and motivating environment ❤️

Negative experience: This location is extremely unsafe. I had my bag and wallet locked in a locker, yet someone broke into it and stole all my cards. As I’m writing this, I’m still on the phone with banks reporting fraudulent transactions. I’ve never experienced anything like this at any other location. Avoid this place—it is absolutely not safe.

Negative experience: Great staff, fine air-conditioning in summer, the only reason for giving 3 stars is outdated machines. They’re not maintained well making much noises while in use. Some of them are even rusty.

Positive experience: This is my favorite GoodLife in the area, but I can’t give it 5 stars yet. The space itself is good, though it could be better utilized to create an even stronger workout experience. I’d love to see this location upgraded with some of the newer equipment available at other GoodLife gyms in Markham and Toronto …. many of the machines here feel dated since I’ve been using the same ones for years. Another issue is member etiquette during the day, which often makes it difficult to train. Machines are frequently left unracked, and dirty paper towels are left around, which is frustrating. For that reason, I usually prefer to come very late or very early, though even then I run into the same issues. Overall, it’s a decent gym and still my go-to, but it definitely needs some updates and better upkeep if it wants to stay competitive with the newer locations.

Fantastic experience: Great quality gym. Very friendly and helpful staff. Especially when I lost my keys and needed help finding them. Omar & Za’khi went above and beyond to help me find the keys, went through 3 loads of towels and areas of the gym and we ended up finding them leading to me not having to tow my car. Thank you both for everything. You guys are super. Not just this instance but you guys are very very helpful on a regular basis. ❤️❤️

Positive experience: I visited this GoodLife location on a Friday evening (between 6–9 PM) and overall had a good experience, with a few things worth noting. Parking & Location: The parking situation is decent there's enough space to find a spot even during peak hours. However, the pavement and condition of the parking lot could really use an upgrade. It’s uneven, tight in some areas, and not the easiest to navigate. The gym entrance is located on the side of the building when you drive in (not at the front or back), which might not be immediately obvious if it's your first visit. First Impressions & Layout: At first glance, I assumed the facility only had a small studio, cardio machines, and a pool. However, once I went through the men’s changing room, I was surprised to find that the main gym is actually located beyond it. This layout might be a bit confusing at first, but it leads to a much more spacious area than expected. Facilities & Amenities: This location is well-equipped. After the change room, you’ll find a full gym setup including: Plenty of cardio machines A coaching area A good selection of weight machines Dumbbell benches and a few squat racks (2) A stretching area on a lower platform An additional room with hanging bars, a turf area, ab/stretching machines There’s also a solid list of amenities: sauna, steam room, showers, and a pool. It really offers everything you need for a complete workout and recovery session. Atmosphere & Lighting: One downside I noticed was the lighting. The gym feels a bit dark, and there isn’t much natural light coming in. This might not bother everyone, but personally, I prefer a brighter workout space. Overall: Despite a few quirks like the layout and dim lighting, this GoodLife location has a full range of equipment and facilities that make it a solid choice for most gym-goers. If they improved the parking lot and enhanced the lighting, it would easily be one of the better gyms in the area.

Negative experience: I visited this location today for the first time, at 630am. The men’s change room, bathrooms and shower area were absolutely filthy. The etiquette of other members in the workout area reflect the disgusting mess in the change rooms.

Negative experience: This location has really gone downhill. I came in to workout and the paper towels are always out, the changerooms are always filthy, and the staff are extremely rude and standoffish. The staff at the front desk are always on their phones and seem annoyed when you ask them for a towel. I tried to sign up for personal training. I spoke with Bruce and at first, he seemed genuine, but I was having second thoughts so I told him that I'd have to think about it as it is very expensive and a lot to commit to. Bruce seemed visibly upset, I apologized and explained my situation. As I was walking away, I heard him say "what a waste of time". I found the entire experience to be truly unprofessional and off-putting. Will not be returning to this location.

Positive experience: The group exercise class are of high quality but I don't personnally like the setting and cleanliness of the gym and the changing room, it feels very messy and cluttered compared to other branches around. it might be because of the availability of the swimming pool as peaople walk into the changing rooms wet which makes the floor always be wet. On the plus side, I'm personally a fan of group exercise classes and have attended a lot of different classes in different gyms. I can say the classes offered here is of hogh quality and the vibe is really enjoyable and energetic. For example the RPM class instructed by Anne on Mon afternoon was really good. I also enjoy ylthe pilated and yoga a lot. I really think though there are lack of normal temp. yoga classes. All of the yoga classes are heated and makes it not ejoyable or ideal for everyone.

Fantastic experience: The custodian staff named Rufina was so considerate when cleaning the steam sauna and the was so kind helpful and welcoming, same goes for Pam at the front desk :)

Negative experience: This place is really not been kept clean. Very poor management and lack of leadership for their staff. Women’s lock room is always dirty with hairs everywhere, drops of urine on toilet seats and paper towels spread out on the floor!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending Hot Yoga Ashtanga classes with Nasim B. and Vinyasa with Henry W. in Goodlife Markham Yonge and Kirk club, and I’m very impressed by their teaching style and expertise. Negative experience: This branch has serious hygiene issues. Most of the showers are dirty lack shampoo, or have broken shampoo holders. Towels are left scattered on the floor. The entrance floor is always wet and dirty. The water pressure is very low. Overall, instead of creating a positive atmosphere, it brings down your mood.

Positive experience: I’ve been training with Neda Faezi at this gym for the past six months. She is highly knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly supportive. I’ve seen excellent results working with her and would highly recommend Neda to anyone looking to improve their fitness, build strength, and enhance their overall health. That said, Neda’s schedule can get quite full, so some flexibility with booking sessions may be necessary. As for the gym itself, the staff are friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate that this location offers a pool, sauna, and hot tub. it’s a great addition to the overall experience. However, the building is quite outdated, and overall cleanliness is an issue. Many members don’t clean the equipment after use, and clean towels often run out. The parking lot is frequently full, and with only one entrance and exit to Yonge Street, getting in and out can be a real challenge. Despite these drawbacks, my personal training experience with Neda has been outstanding, which is why I’m giving this gym 4 stars.

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Neda Faezi at this gym for last three months. I have to say it was the best decision I have ever made. Neda is very knowledgeable in her work, she is very kind and very understanding of my physical condition. Her encouragement and support has helped me tremendously to build up my confidence and body strength to stay consistent in practicing my routine. Negative experience: Unfortunately no longer worth the cost that GoodLife charges... Continued decline in standards of maintenance and cleanliness. Etiquette is also a huge issue, standard gym rules are not enforced in my experience. Multiple people filming on the gym floor, openly vaping on multiple occasions. I've gone elsewhere and saved money with a better experience!

Negative experience: Might be good for general fitness, but not worth it for a hardcore bodybuilder or any professional athlete. All of their trainers are amateurs—none of them are IFBB Pros. Anyone can get an online certification these days; it's easy. I was exhausted after an intense 2-hour StairMaster session and was lying on a towel, shirtless, in a corner, not bothering anyone. One of their staff actually kicked me in the legs and demanded I put my shirt on. They also charge you an extra fee when you cancel their ridiculous membership. Here’s a challenge: send your top trainers to the WNBF show on August 23rd. If any of the guys from Team GoodLife have what it takes to qualify, send them to Nationals on August 2nd. Preach your so-called rules to me there if you make the top 6—I’d be more than happy to learn from you. Otherwise, you’re just normalizing weakness and average physiques in the name of “Good Life.” Pure Muscle Fitness is the way to go. Body Vision is great too—there are so many awesome clubs to support in the area. Thanks for teaching me an invaluable lesson: never fund lowlifes with your hard-earned money, no matter how fancy they seem on the outside.
Negative experience: Unfortunately I got into altercation at GoodLife. I place I come to find peace and only radiate positive energy. Because people feel they can push you and make you fall Sprain your finger bite your lip and because I verbally attacked him. Lucky I’m not in jail for assault on bodily harm. Who ever feels like they can put there hands on me should suffer MAXIMUM consequences lucky I’m trying to change my life. Since they banned me I’ll be switch to life time fitness. The show doesn’t show it evolves. You lost not only a client to lives and represents you brand to fullest but amazing person who brings life to your gym. This will now set a chain reaction of reviews lol For your poor decisions enjoy. Compound Interest

Negative experience: Only reason why I am giving it 2 stars is because of the lack of gym etiquette. The change room for men’s is a mess. Towels everywhere on the floor, the floor isn’t wiped, the bathroom is disgusting looks like nobody cleans it. People don’t even wipe their machines or equipment after they’re done using them. Comparing this gym to the GoodLife fitness at finch station or North York Madison centre is like a night and day difference. Just don’t come here when there’s way better and more clean options in the area.

Negative experience: The equipment is so old...they never update any of the equipment...they are from at least 15 yrs ago and when they break, it takes 1-2 months to get something fixed....and it is soooo busy at 5-6am in the morning.
