Fantastic experience: I have been going to Florida Fitness for over 15 years and have found it to be a perfect fit. Ken has created programs and shared advice that suit my changing (hello aging process) needs. The atmosphere, and cast of characters, help draw me in on those occasional days when my motivation is a bit low.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about this gym and its owner, Ken. It’s a private space, but surprisingly big, with everything you need to push yourself and grow. Back when I was competing, this was my second home. Ken isn’t just a personal trainer—he’s incredibly knowledgeable about health, training, and what it takes to get to the next level, whether your goal is stepping on stage or simply improving your overall fitness. Even though I haven’t been in for a while, this gym and Ken still hold a very special place in my heart. The atmosphere, the guidance, and the genuine care he puts into helping people succeed truly set this place apart. If you’re looking for a gym that feels personal yet has the space and resources to help you thrive, this is the place.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for a year and cannot for the life of me understand why I didn’t join earlier. Unapologetically, an honest to goodness old-school gym. If you are looking for a gym where machines massage you and count your reps while you’re texting and lifting, this isn’t the place for you. If you are a powerlifter or strongman that likes to slather your entire body with chalk and drop 900 pounds to feel admired and loved by the weaklings, also not the place for you. If you are a course-type that likes to Zumba and chill in the sauna “to recover” from all the dancing, also not for you. Other than that, no matter what your objectives are, no matter how young or old you are, whether it’s your first day in a gym or your 30th year, you will find yourself at home. Owner, staff and people are kind and treat each other with respect. It’s not without reason that this place has been open for business since 1996.

Fantastic experience: Ken runs an excellent gym here and his excellence extends to his staff as well. I 've been a gym goer for decades and I have to say that my experience here since i joined up has been topnotch with a good array of equipment and free weights, and new equipment additions recently only adding to that experience. Also there's a good group of fellow gym goers frequenting this establishment and all in all just a great vibe to the place!

Fantastic experience: It'll be a year in April. I'm 36 and this place has changed my life. I've never felt better, and the community here is very down to earth, and want to see you succeed! I just wish I would have started this journey in my youth. I plan on renewing for another year, going to keep this train rolling!

Fantastic experience: Ken and the staff are amazing people, lots of knowledge. Worked out here for over 10 years and had fun. Newer equipment and updates every so often, and new classes to attend if interested. Showers, change rooms, and some great shakes at the counter. Great pricing too

Fantastic experience: What makes this gym unique and special, other than it's super competitive low price, friendly owner & staff, great equipment? It's a "smaller" local gym where you feel like you are part of a family. Totally beats any "warehouse" type gym with hundreds of people at all time. Give me all the money or any gym in the world, I would still train here. PS: By "smaller", I don't mean that this gym is too small, it's perfectly sized and has great top of the line equipment. You won't have to wait in line to Bench Press or Squat either as there is a lot of spots for those.

Positive experience: Decent gym and equipment. Hey, how about a bike rack outside!?! We have an e-bike, not overly light. Trucking a bike downstairs does not sound very safe. Thanks!

Negative experience: As new to the area and looking for a new gym. Called to ask Info and more details about the Gym since their website seems to not be up to date. The guy I talked to was talking to multiple people putting me on hold without even a chance to finish a sentence. I’ve read pleasant reviews however “my less than a min and three time on hold and finally hung up on me”was nothing pleasant. Way to go to attract new customers.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in town. The first wave of Covid-19 made me switch gyms. I then met Ken Clement, proud owner of Florida Fitness. The vibe in his gym is unprecedented and made waking up early in the morning worth it every single day since gyms reopened. As they are now closing once again, Ken decided to rent out his spin bikes as he plans to make his classes on Zoom for the entire season (October to March). Not only this is a source of income for his small Gatineau business, but an innovative way to bring us all together in these tough times. Ken motivates me to train almost every day and is also an example by his attitude facing the virus. “Keep moving forward, pivot and adapt”. Words of wisdom in 2020… No doubt this place is worth the detour.

Positive experience: Old school gym owned by a passionnate Bodybuilder. This was my very first gym i trained to and Ken noticed me and knew i was new and often offered to help. Ill never forget one day he told me: "Hey, put more weight, my grandma can lift that". A preicous moment that was. The only downfall would be the size, I like big gyms that the roof is high up

Fantastic experience: I think I just found my new home! One thing i know is a good gym. I can also tell when the owner runs a gym out of passion and not profit. This gym was built by a bodybuilder, and all they equipment was picked out for functionality. I love the feel of this gym. The members are welcoming and friendly. 100% must do, if you are from Ottawa or Gatineau.
