Fantastic experience: Went for a Class today and we are very happy with the gym. It was clean with many amenities. The ladies at the front desk were kind and welcoming. The class itself was a good workout with variety and explanations for the movements themselves. Sarah was the instructor that we had and her way of leading was easy to follow, she made it a very fun experience. We were given a tour that went over the whole building, that in itself was a joy, much to look at and try out. I would recommend the gym to anyone in London.

Fantastic experience: I've had a great experience at this gym and highly recommend it. The staff are honestly one of the best parts- Clair, Trish, and Martha are all incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. They make everyone feel comfortable, no matter your fitness level, and you can really tell they care about the members. The gym itself is very nice, clean, and tidy. The equipment is well maintained, and the whole space feels organized and positive, which makes working out much more enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: Fitness Forum London is a great gym! For me, the best feature is that there's plenty of space to work out (the third floor with the track is great for circuits, for example), so you never feel crowded or rushed like in some other gyms, even in high traffic areas on the main floor. On top of that, the pool is big and clean, the front desk staff are courteous and helpful (Shannon, Trish, and Martha are rock stars!), and the members are friendly and welcoming. You really can find and join a community here, and that makes all the difference in staying committed to your fitness goals.

Positive experience: My husband and I both attend the gym and we can’t say enough good things about it. I generally use the pool and attend aquafit and enjoy that every class is different and the instructors are all excellent and qualified. My husband just joined a year ago and loves that everyone made him feel so comfortable and welcome and the whole atmosphere has encouraged him to have a healthier lifestyle. The staff and new owners are doing an excellent job of communicating and making sure everyone is having a good experience. If you are a newbie to the gym atmosphere… this is the perfect place to begin… they make you feel so welcome and help you out with making you feel so comfortable.

Fantastic experience: We joined Fitness Forum in the summer for our Staycation. The pool and hot tub and sauna made for a wonderful vacation. We continue to enjoy this wonderful place evenings. We are so grateful for Fitness Forum and wish we had found it years ago. I like the aqua fit too The trip there is easy and parking is ample and free. The parking lot is well lit. Fantastic experience: I returned to Fitness Forum recently after it had changed Management. So happy that I did , this place has such a great atmosphere. Everyone welcomes you and makes you feel comfortable. New Owners are doing some great updates which were truly needed . Pool is by far the best one that you will see in any London gym without a doubt , Plenty of parking available . Price is comparable to other facilities, communication is awesome. Fantastic experience: Best I’m gym in London! The price, equipment variety, and costumer services are great, recently got the membership and I’m pretty impressed. Got to know the owner which told me about the improvements they were going to make and it sounds impressive. Glad I could be with them and train at their gym. And it’s way too cheap for the quality you get! Trust me, sign up.

Fantastic experience: I was traveling and passing by London and it was my first time to discover Fitness Forum London gym. I gotta to say that I have never seen something with that scale. The team is amazing and super friendly. They took me on a tour to check out the facilities. Can you believe that this place has been standing strong for four decades. With the recent change of ownership, there are loads of develeopment and new activities on the way. It’s so exciting to see such an amazing place under going a complete transformation. I would have become a member immediately if this gym is close to me but I live an hour away. I highly recommend this place to all the residents of London and its surrounding areas.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym for well over 20 years and enjoyed every minute of it, but unfortunately previous ownership had let things run down a lot and were going to close it all together until thankfully new ownership took over and prevented the shutdown. New ownership started the much needed renovations on the more important things like the leaky roof , no one misses the sight of buckets all over the gym floor after a rain . The task at hand is big and will take time , but glad to have gotten ownership willing and determined to take up the challenge and doing a great job at it . Keep up the good work guys and me like many other members realize things aren’t going to be done over night and thank you for keeping this much needed gym open in our neighborhood and community.

Positive experience: I still enjoy using tbe treadmill but I really miss the Zumba classes. I tried Dance Fit but it's not the same and it's too early for me on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I can only do it Tuesday and Friday.

Negative experience: Look at the manner that the owner replies to one star reviews. One star reviews he sent a text message asking for. Completely unprofessional gym, really unprofessional owner. Really bad hours (really, make people sign up for a year, and significantly cut hours, amenities?) It’s pretty telling when the gym has, no hot water for weeks, still no cable TV, no communication about hot tubs being broken…. But you’ve got a nice new app… but no cable tv… I don’t know where the priorities of the ownership are, but it’s on all the wrong things. You’ve promoted an unfinished gym with horrible hours. People are going to come try it once, and never come back. That’s the attitude of almost any new or even a lot of returning members I know

Negative experience: Updated reply- Thank you for making my point about the unprofessional management with your reply. I am using a different name for my review, because I am seeing the way you are replying to and treating others who are critical. I don’t want to now have to deal with somebody speaking with me like that next time I come to the gym It was a pretty good place to go. But they just cut the hours. I don’t know how they can justify the price, when there’s gyms with better amenities, better hours and more professional management. And… no kids in the pool. Iook at the way the manager is replying to some of the one star reviews. The biggest deal is the hours. It’s open significantly less than almost ANY other gym in town. While charging more, or just about the same price.

Are kids not allowed in pools? Are families not allowed to be able to find an inclusive place and affordable way to spend time with their kids? While you may disagree, we see this as a way to cater for families to enable them to spend time with their kids in an inclusive space that respects people from all walks of life.
Negative experience: Since the new owners, things have gone downhill. Save your money. Not sure why they texted us to do reviews when things aren’t great there atm. They also just changed the gym times so now I can’t go after 8:30pm, which was a selling point for me when I signed up. I’m a nurse that works 7-7. Responding: Interesting. That’s odd, because I am a current member. The email I received from Fitness Forum London clearly outlines the new pool and facility schedule changes, including the earlier closures. So before suggesting members “aren’t real,” it might be worth double-checking who you’re sending your marketing updates to. Also, as a paying customer, I’d think voicing feedback through the same communication channels you use to request reviews would qualify as “respectful.” Apparently that only applies when the feedback is flattering. If the priority now is “blocking off time” instead of maintaining access for members with nontraditional hours, that’s fine, but maybe include that in the sales pitch next time, instead of after collecting membership fees.

Most of the reviews we got have been exactly what we were hoping for, fair and honest, not angry and single sided with a narrow view of a business runs.
Changing our hours to protect the safety of our members and staff and to spend the time on improvements after hours makes business sense. As communicated to our members with less than 10 members in the club the last 2 hours of the day, we would rather block that time to have work scheduled to accelerate improvements.
We are a transparent business focusing on what we believe serves the majority of our members, not a handful of people. Moreover, there are more respectful ways of communicating and our members who reached out through the dedicated channel for getting feedback got replies that were satisfactory to them.

Positive experience: Update: many things have gotten better. The owners are listening to their patrons and things are getting done.

The feedback we got is the opposite, that the gym is much cleaner since the new gym opened in July. We inspect the changing rooms daily. On another note, you would only know of the men's or women's but not both because the changing rooms are separate for men's and women's.
The pool was out of service for overdue maintenance, years overdue, for 5 days, and we communicated to our members frequently with updates.
Does the rain still come through or have we spent time and money fixing the roof?

Fantastic experience: I feel so fortunate to have Fitness Forum in my neighborhood. The staff are all so friendly and encouraging and it is so great to see that the new owners are investing in upgrades. Fantastic experience: Good times getting fit and healthy. Big Pool, Deep end, Punching bag! Free weights and machines, Great view on the running track to look at outside while you work out instead of a dull wall.

Negative experience: I noticed an error on their website (screenshot attached) and I reached out asking if this was accurate. They confirmed it was. They're asking for more money for an annual membership vs paying bi-weekly, but they are promoting it as 4 weeks free included. That math when annualized just doesn't come close to adding up. I asked on Friday if they planned to fix it, but they chose not to reply (Facebook Messenger shows it was read). I tried again Monday morning, but again they've chosen not to reply. This is disappointing.

Our annual plan is for 13 months, and that's a little over 28 biweekly payments, when you do the math it comes out to approximately $24.78 compared to our commit plan of $25.95.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Fitness Forum London for over 20 years. When I was touring the various gyms in London, the Fitness Forum stood out as very different than the others. When I walked in, I felt like I was at a resort as it did not look like the typical “ exercise box” gym model. It has a lot of windows, skylights and colourful wall decor. You can see the sky and clouds while you work out and so it is a very cheerful mentally uplifting space. Unlike most gyms, the Fitness Forum also has a beautiful pool with a glass roof, walking track and squash courts. You can safely walk here indoors when the sidewalks are icy. The gym members and staff are very friendly and helpful so it has a family feel. It has always been an independently owned business so you can see and talk to the owner unlike gyms that a part of a chain.
Thanks for your kind message, although we've only been up and running for a month now, our leadership takes pride in working with the members and improving the facility. Although we were not part of the history of the club, we very much look forward to being part of its future ☺️

Negative experience: Sad to leave such a great place ! One star is only for the added cost of playing squash that was included in the previous 30 years of my membership! I wish all the best to the new owner ….the one star was not reflective of the gym rather the 435 dollar add on fee to play squash I would have gladly paid 39 bi-weekly to stay but it was not an option!
Thank you Steve, as previously explained to you in person to most of the squash members, we are a brand new gym not tied to your previous contract and membership. We did not increase prices, we introduced membership prices when we launched the business, we are not privy to your old contracts. To the best of our knowledge, your previous membership with the old gym was terminated on June 30th when the old gym closed.
We have done an extensive market research of squash pricing and we believe we are competitively priced in London, if you check the city website for community centres pricing for a 45 minute session, the range is $17 - $22, ranging from member/non-member pricing and prime/non-prime time pricing. That's approximately $20 + tax for a 45 minute session. Our program offering was approximately $39.90 + tax bi-weekly for unlimited squash.
Nonetheless, we respect how you feel about this. We don't feel that we deserve a 1 star review, but we are not here to challenge you, we have done a lot of improvements and continue to improve the building, the facility and the programming. We have hundreds of new members who have positive comments about our efforts and we realize that we will not be able to satisfy everyone.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to the Fitness Forum since 2016! I love the place! Ania’s Zumba classes on Tuesday and Thursday night (plus on Saturdays) are energetic, fun and a great work out! Alex’s Yoga classes on Wednesday night are perfect for stretching, relaxing, and toning! Jen’s Muscle Madness and Drums class on Mondays are one of a kind! She makes working out fun and memorable!! The front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming! I can’t say enough about how wonderful Denis is! He is incredible at recalling names and he makes every member feel important and supported! I have been trying to work out more often and appreciate that other members are willing to help you with machines and equipment! I have made lots of friends at the Fitness Forum! I was so glad that it didn’t close!

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Fitness Forum for a few years now. What I really appreciate about this gym is that it feels "comfy" compared to all other gyms I tried. The people that go there are mostly regular-looking, no gym bros, no judgement, everyone seems relaxed, and it's never too busy. Lots of equipment - the main weights and machines room, another free weights room, two cardio rooms, boxing and yoga equipment, squash and more. Some of the equipment and areas are a bit older so if you care about how sterile and brand new everything is, that could be a downside. I'm happy to trade that for the coziness of this gym though (side note - huge windows and lots of sun!)
Negative experience: Very disappointing experience with this gym. I was told a one-year contract would save me subscription fees, but I didn’t choose that because I new I will cancel after 5 months. Canceling resulted in a $243 fee, and I ended up being charged the subscription and canceling fees. A collection agent then threatened legal action, saying I’d owe $600 instead. I’ll pay, but the gym was not honest about the true costs. I wouldn’t recommend this gym.
Raed. We aplogize if there was any confusion, however the $243 fee you were charged for your account and your brothers had no cancel fees. It simply was for previous membership back charges that did not clear. This was clearly explained in emails and phone calls prior to listing your account with our collection department.

Fantastic experience: I've always liked the gym , over 20 years ago and again at this moment. The pool is what I use , I love it . I love the special feeling you get as a member, great hottub, great sauna and the receptionists are all very nice. Could do with a choice of beverage incase I forget mine... Fantastic experience: I currently go here to work out and it's amazing! Everyone is incredibly friendly and the gym has a "family-like" vibe. Dennis was especially good to me when I first signed up for a membership and was incredibly helpful. He treated me with the utmost kindness and respect. I was shocked at how welcoming he was because at my previous gyms, I had never been treated in such a way. Fitness forum also has a wide variety of machines. It is a smaller gym, but it has more machines than the bigger ones I've been to. One of the things I love about this gym is that it has multiple lat-pull down machines, which is super helpful for being such a popular exercise. Overall, I would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to start working out to go to this gym. It also has a very well maintained pool, hot tub and sauna!

Fantastic experience: It's been a long while since I've been at Fitness Forum. I've been going there since I was 15 years old. I moved back into the area and rejoined again in my 40's with my daughter. We had the opportunity to have Mark. B take both my daughter and myself through a routine. What a great trainer/fitness advisor. He's such an expert and took his time running through it with me and my daughter. He has a wealth of knowledge and is a great asset to the Fitness Forum. Positive experience: The gym is excellent. I love to workout here. It is very spacious, and the staff is very friendly and good. I am just not happy with the timing. Morning is okay, but evening I wish they kept the gym open till 11 so people like me who do evening shifts would get time to come and work out. And Saturday and Sunday timings also need to be updated as compared to other gyms.

Positive experience: Honestly the only reason I left this gym was some inconsiderate lizard broke into my locker and stole my wallet and that the gym opens at 6, I work at 6 and by the time 3-4pm rolls around all the teenagers are there hogging up the machines, only if they opened an hour earlier than 100% they'd have my money
Negative experience: Out of date equipment, poor layout and very old fashioned processes. Tried it out for the 3 day trial and I'm pretty sure even the staff knew that I wouldn't be signing up for a membership.

Negative experience: Do not commit for long term... I happen to move from London to St. Thomas and they did not offer any assistance at all. So I am paying for the next 4 months even though I am not able to come in. I expected them to cancel my membership as I happened to move... but nope. Not a good customer service. I am not happy.
Negative experience: I want gave 0 from 5 if can because too expensive they charge close 50 dolar per month and i have to sign 1 year contract for get to that price plus after 6 six month or something they charge another fee What is for i dont know. I dont recomment to anyone to this gym but you guy have choice.
Negative experience: I thought I would like this gym, until I was there for 3 days. I was happy to hear the pool is never busy. That is because the pool is filthy. Not impressed at lack of staff.
Negative experience: STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Where do I get started! Just stay far away from this place!!! I had made a membership with these scammers about a couple months ago and when I was making it I was talking to a salesperson name “Dennis”. He was very nice and very understanding. I had told him I want to make a membership that I can come in monthly and pay like a normal gym. He had said yes that’s fine you can, also I had made it very clear that I didn’t want to give my card to you guys so you can take it out monthly Dennis said that is completely fine so I payed the first month and few to health conditions I wasn’t able to go for a few months. My parents had received a call and short story short they had put my account into a collectors agency. I learned my lesson the hard way just pay the extra bucks and go to a proper gym .STAY AWAY!!!!!
Some reviews need to be replied to. Obviously we have a different side to this story. First, NO gyms allow you as a member to just come in and pay when you want, all ask for recurring payments to be set up, otherwise just pay daily drop in fees if you don't want to join on a contract. We have 4 documented phone calls to Karan, 2 emails and multiple in person discussions where we requested banking or credit card forms to complete his signed agreement. Numerous times we were told it was coming. We waited 5 months for the forms, then wrote off as bad debt and sent to collection for just 2 months of dues. Could have listed the account for much more, just trying to get to break even on this bad account.
Positive experience: Love this place! The manager is amazing, front desk staff is friendly and know me by name. Only giving fours stars as the daycare hours have been eliminated which makes it difficult to attend if it's not available. Good variety of equipment, the classes are amazing and instructors are always courteous and fun!
Positive experience: Friendly staff. Never too busy even during prime times. Decent amenities like a 100m track and 15m pool. I only wish it was a bit cleaner and had an updated free weight section. A deadlift platform (that wasn’t 2 mats and a barbell), some bumper plates, and more power racks would be nice.

Fantastic experience: Signed up to get my anxiety ridden lazy butt out of the house and convinced mom as well. So far so good , 1 month in and a solid routine is being established. I still don't like crowds so the large amount of equipment, good hours and 3 floors of space are appreciated. Going to enjoy using the pool and sauna as the weather gets cool also.

Fantastic experience: I loved Fitness Forum. The place is near me , very accessible to us . The only problem is they don’t have elevator for the seniors,Staff are friendly, helpful & caring, same with the trainers.Loved all the aerobics. My favourite is the Drums , Iike them all. If I’m free, I will do it all..Since I join, I feel stronger, confident , & less pain on both knees. When I ‘m done , little chit chat with Therese. Lucky to be in their gymn. I’m addition, I love my trainer, Sandra. She makes me laugh all the time , especially when I can’t do what she wants me to do. She is very patience, bit strict which I like that make me challenge myself. She also contribute for what I am now, less pain in both of my knees, stronger doing weights with her plus the aerobics, & Zumba.
Fantastic experience: I really enjoy coming to the Fitness Forum because the staff are very friendly, and there are many machines to do your workout on. I personally enjoy doing the bike. I normally go and do 6.5 miles and do some work with the weights.

Fantastic experience: This past year I’ve spent at fitness forum has helped me progress physically and mentally then any gym before. The staff and my trainer really encourage me to keep moving forward down this path Im on. Daily smiles on their faces make me feel welcome . The environment itself is welcoming by others who come here to workout as well, you get that family vibe when you come . Conversations and laughter is endless . Compliments towards each other I’ve overheard and it’s nice to hear. Can’t wait to see what this next year brings ☺️.
Negative experience: The gym very old, they turn the lights most of the day. Changing room has very bad smell. They don't accept freezing memberships without paying around $50. It's the worst service I have had ever.

Positive experience: I would like to start this review by saying I really do love this gym. I have been fortunate enough to build relationships with the staff and some members. I feel encouraged with those people around and most importantly, safe. The old school vibe truly can’t be beat. Unfortunately, this old school vibe is accompanied by a predominantly white male crowd with old school views on women. Typically I keep my head down, my headphones on and mind my own business. I could not block out this blatant display of toxic masculinity put on by a member who can often be heard openly disrespecting his wife, hollering about our current political climate or making derogatory comments about the LGBTQIA+ community. While a few females attempted to take up space (myself included), he began boasting about women’s rights. Saying things like “hasn’t the women’s rights movement ended by now” and “women have all the rights they need already, what more could you want?” and “is there anything more us men can do for you?”. His tone was very pointed, he was obviously annoyed and tried to play it off like it was a joke. This is not a joke. I am not a joke. This was a particularly disturbing display and unfortunately a regular occurrence with the mid-day crowd. This made me feel uncomfortable and going back to the beginning, most importantly, unsafe. If you are a woman in the gym I want you to know that I am so proud of you and remind you that you deserve to take up space. I hope this review does not go unnoticed and that fitness forum moving forward can do better create a more welcoming space for women simply trying to exist.
Negative experience: I canceled my membership. Not because of any of the on-site staff (they're lovely), but because this gym is as hands-off on their own maintenance as it gets. I understand that it's an old building, but there have been buckets put out for leaks in the roof, over the course of my time there. If you go in there on a humid day, there is a noticeable moldy smell. I felt uncomfortable working around the men in the weights section -there's some real class acts there, young and old. They'll pull their phones out for videos, even though there are rules against it. The pool doesn't have a lifeguard on duty. Kids as young as 14 are allowed to have memberships there. Some of them have nearly jumped on me and have gotten in the way of other adults who lane swim. The janitor had to come down four separate times to get them to stop. When I contacted Alec about it, he seemed hostile and didn't care. After that, I stopped going, save for one or two occasions. I used to be a gym rat. Whenever I thought about lifting weights there, I thought twice. I think I spent a grand total of two months working out there, and just waited until I could cancel.

Our team will start this week on cleaning up some of the selectorized weight stacks which have suffered over the last while as a result of our fogging process to deal with Covid. The fogging process is mostly salt based and has been hard on both iron and upholstery here.
Negative experience: I was looking to join a new gym and I came here using the 3 day trial. I did not purchase a membership as I was disappointed with my visit. The facility has a lot of potential. On top of the weight training areas, they have a pool, track, and squash courts. I found the gym to be poorly run however. I only saw one employee during my workout. I did not feel comfortable as the gym was not very clean. The urinals in the washroom had visible bacterial growth and were almost overflowing with urine. Also, the machines and free weights are all very old. The membership fees were around $25-30 biweekly + additional fees for startup and club enhancement. If the gym was in good shape, this would be a good price considering all the amenities. But with the current state of the gym, I don’t think the membership is worth it. The only positive thing was that the gym was not busy and I did not have to wait in order to use anything.
Fantastic experience: Been a member for a few months now. Great facility, friendly staff and members. Has never been overly busy despite often going at popular times. My only complaint is that the pool is in use most weekdays at normal after work time but I understand that it makes sense to schedule at that time.
Fantastic experience: I just helped my sister join this gym; there was a mix-up when she had her free trial week and missed one of the promos that was on but the gym was very on top of it—the manager we first spoke to (who I definitely don't think was responsible for the mix-up, it was among other staff), Laura, reached out to her personally and immediately and rectified the situation and I'm very happy that it worked out because my sister loves the facility. It has lots of features that make it a really nice gym for her. I hope to join soon too, they have a particularly beautiful pool area.

Fantastic experience: Fitness Forum has something for everyone, great selection of machines, free weights, classes, pool, squash, walking track...awesome trainers ! Best thing ... everyone is so friendly , right from the front desk, office staff, trainers, and all of the members are friendly and welcoming. Memberships and training packages are affordable, easy to understand ... no hidden messages everything is open and transparent. I came from another gym, have been here since September and can't see ever leaving ! Give it a try .... THE FRIENDLIEST GYM IN LONDON !!

Fantastic experience: Lots of different things to do here- squash, dance classes, gym, pool, jacuzzi and even an indoor running/walking track! Not too crowded. It’s a 40 dollar per month and one year quantity membership. A bit expensive but worth it.

Positive experience: I’ve been going to fitness forum for about 6 to 7 months now. I quite enjoy the gym as I like the older equipment, weight and machines it gives off old body builder vibes. The people are great, friendly and you can really have a conversation about anything with a anyone. The only down side to this gym is it’s becoming a little outdated. Roof in multiple spots are leaking, free weights and machines are breaking and rusting, and just overall feels like the building is becoming outdated. I feel like if the business was to re invest some money into new equipment/weights and fixing up the place it would be the best gym in london. Other then that love the place !

Fantastic experience: The Fitness Forum was exactly what I was looking for: A friendly, inviting and well organized place to find all manner of fitness activities. Its neat to see a place that was thoughtfully designed and purpose built as a fitness club, rather than some industrial or former retail space that's been converted. Plenty of space, privacy and options. Great pool, classrooms and Squash courts! The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Update: Wow! It's wild to look back at my old review! A lot has changed -- I've lost more than 100 lbs, the gym has gotten new ownership that has brought new life into our lovely old gym, and I'm now one of the smiling faces greeting you from the front desk when you arrive. But what hasn't changed is the incredible, supportive community at this gym that helped me every step of my weightloss journey. Old Review: I joined this gym a month ago, and I love it here. There's lots of space and equipment so I can always do my own thing. I love the pool and do laps there most days. I'm obese, so I was definitely self conscious joining a gym, but everyone is super friendly or just minds their own business, so I don't feel self conscious at all anymore. I also meet weekly with a personal trainer (Jake), which is well worth the money. He's pushes me and he has taught me a lot after just a couple sessions, but he never makes me feel bad about being ridiculously out of shape as I'm trying my best. So yeah, if anyone else is feeling like taking the plunge on starting their fitness journey, I highly recommend Fitness Forum as a place to do that.

Negative experience: Grateful to be a part of this fitness club, it is a very large gym by comparison to some of the other fitness venues and well laid out. Has all the amenities one would expect and more. Part II revised 10-2023. After 1 year management has done a 180 Place is falling apart, dirty, staff hate being there. Started feeling embarrassed to be a member, I have moved on!

Fantastic experience: Hidden gem in London. The staff is incredibly friendly and knows everyone on a first name basis. The rates are incredible. Full sized pool, squash courts, indoor track, cardio machines, weights, hot tub all for $45/month. I'm on my way there now for a sauna session.
