Negative experience: Over flowing with teenagers that are 3 people to a machine and leave there crap everywhere in the change room , can't even work out some days

Fantastic experience: Just did a spin class with Char and she did an excellent job. Led the cycle to the beat with a mix of sprints and heavy climbs. Told you what was coming up so you could pace yourself accordingly. 5 stars for Char and the gym is well equipped, clean and bright, with friendly staff. Positive vibe- Thank you to the entire staff team!

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym. Has every piece of equipment and weights you can think of. Clean, nice music, and great people. Perfect amount of busy too. One of the bets gyms I've been too, ever.

Fantastic experience: For several years I have known Jenny Currie, Owner at Lifetime Fitness, and always found her & her business to be a great, welcoming & supportive place to workout! Her staff is awesome. Her facility is clean. Her new renovations are great! Glad to have a place like Lifetime Fitness to go to in Salmon Arm!

Fantastic experience: Shuswap Total Fitness is a well-rounded gym. There are 2 floors here, so if you prefer to work out in private, just head upstairs to the circuit room. As someone who's been away from the gym for a number of years, this is a great option. I feel that all fitness levels would feel comfortable and welcome here. Staff are super friendly, too, and cleanliness is a high priority. Oh, and there is a large group fitness room upstairs for classes. I believe the owners maintain this gym very well.

Fantastic experience: Dropped into this lil gem of gym from out of town and absolutely loved it. Has a great atmosphere and great equipment. Reminded me of the gyms I went too back in the 90's, that old school feel that's missing from many gyms today. U dont get these gyms in the lower mainland anymore, it's all corporate and cheesy. I definitely will be coming back when I make my annual visit to see my parents.

Positive experience: I worked out here over the Christmas period. I'm from out of town. The facility had what I needed, although the equipment was dated. The staff was friendly and professional. However, the owner needs an attitude adjustment.

This place is a breath of fresh air compared to the cookie cutter gym chains. Feels like an old school gym without the meatheats and that’s a very good thing.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. Went to another gym and the staff didnt even care if you were content...in fact didnt even know you were there I'm pretty sure. Staff here are always eager to help. Lots of equipment and tons of space (more private upstairs as well for shy/new gym goers). Also always good to have a sauna or tan after a work out. I recommend this joint to anyone wanting a comfortable atmosphere to get your pump on.

Fantastic experience: Signed up in the new year and the staff has been helpful, kind, and just have a great energy. The other gym members aren't loud or obnoxious which is a big relief! Tons of equipment, private rooms for exercise, and classes to choose from.

Positive experience: Lifetimes sheer size and number of pieces of equipment is paramount in Salmon Arm, no wait times for equipment. They are in the midst of a renovation changing the colors on the interior to spice it up a bit. The equipment is older but in good working condition, while there I watched the owner (who just had a lower leg amputation) replacing a belt on a treadmill personally on crutches. I was given the opportunity to meet brad (a regular for years who suffers from a form of ms caused by a motorcycle accident) the staff loads all his weights for him and he even played a joke on me by putting a candy wrapper in my shoe and waited to see if I noticed. all in all a very friendly atmosphere good attitudes good people great choice of equipment and good vibes all around I definitely recommend lifetime fitness

Negative experience: Dirty! Even found piles of garbage in my shoes when I was leaving. Equipment is old and much of it is broken. Facilities in need of repair and updating. There are 4 other gyms to choose from, walking distance away. I was a patron of this gym years ago but now I would not recommend it to anyone.

Negative experience: Slowly going downhill, equipment needs maintenance, handles and bars need replacing, the place is grimy ...needs a good cleaning. Going to loose membership if things don't change soon.

Positive experience: Dated equipment, functional and sufficient. Like many small towns gyms could use a facelift but that's a nice to have

Large group fitness room with most classes included in membership , and plenty of space and options for both cardio and resistance training. The members and staff are very friendly and welcoming as well!
