Positive experience: The closest parking lot is at the left back of the Mall. The space is good including a big class room for Body Pump, Body Combat and the other classes offered at this location. The personnel is very friendly and the location works pretty well for people living in that area. It’s a shame they are planing on closing this location. GoodLife fitness should reconsider this decision. It’s true this place needs some investments to catch up with other newer gyms but it still valid for the surrounding communities

Negative experience: There are passive-aggressive activities coming from the front desk personnel. Very odd. I am also missing belongings as of today from my gym bag that were there this morning. The lockers aren't full length, which would be preferred. The equipment is on the older side, i.e., none of the treadmills have fans or individual TVs. The feminine hygiene dispensers are empty, and the towels have barely any fibers left. The weight lifting section is quite cramped, and not all the dispensers work in the showers.

Negative experience: I have been a member of the South Common GoodLife Gym for a while now, and overall, it is a great place to work out. The gym is friendly, well-equipped, and the staff are generally helpful and approachable. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, creating a welcoming environment for all members. However, I have a significant concern regarding the cycling program. The noise level during these sessions is way out of hand. The cycling classes typically run from 5-7 pm, and the room where they are held is open to the rest of the gym. The music during these classes is blasted at such a high volume that it echoes throughout the entire gym. I have brought this issue to the attention of the staff on multiple occasions, but unfortunately, nothing has been done to address it. The excessively loud music not only disrupts my workout but also seems to drive other members away. As you can see in the video below, the gym is noticeably empty during these hours, which is very disappointing. Please look into the attached video showing the minimum number of people in the gym and the cycling room with the sound blasting through the open window throughout the gym. A possible solution would be to either limit the sound level during these classes or enclose the cycling room with soundproof windows, as seen in most other gyms. This would allow for an energetic atmosphere in the cycling classes while maintaining a comfortable environment for all gym members. While I understand the need for an energetic atmosphere in cycling classes, there should be a balance that considers the comfort of all gym members. I hope the management will take this feedback seriously and find a solution that allows for an enjoyable experience for everyone. I feel that it is unfair to have to look for another gym after so many years of being a member here just because of the sound problem.

Negative experience: I've been a member of GL for over 20 years and have been to approx 30 Good Life gyms, mostly in Ontario. This location is one of my least favourite. I worked out there for the first time in at least 8 years and it seems like NOTHING has changed. Old, cramped, outdated equipment and missing modern machines. This gym needs another 10,000 sq feet and an interior and equipment refresh. I understand lockdowns hit gyms hard but it's time to reinvest a little. There must be money available because the new Oakville Place location is top notch. Do better

Fantastic experience: A great gym! It's not perfect, but its very convenient. It's never overcrowded. It has lots of space, and equipment. It has an amazing staff (very friendly). And the personal trainers are world class!

Fantastic experience: Pamela M. is an exceptional yoga instructor: she takes the time to create her own sequences, each with a focus on a different body part, and she always offers helpful suggestions, especially stretches for injuries. If you want to improve not only your flexibility but also your strength, I recommend that you take her classes.

Fantastic experience: This is my favorite place to workout in Mississauga. I also had Kai as my personal trainer for a year and I personally had an amazing time with him. He customized workout plans for me to help me to reach my goal. I lost 20lbs in weight and gained muscles. If you are looking for a personal trainer, look for Kai Basso.

Fantastic experience: I quit this branch because I have to move from my usual workplace. Every equipments here is always completed, no missing dumbell. Sometimes u have to line up when using the weight mchine but overall it is a recommended place for starting out.

Fantastic experience: I joined GoodLife about a year ago and took the most benefit by adding daily workout into my schedule. South common location has all the useful equipments for a complete workout, and the condition of gym is always clean. Southcommon location also has the most pleasant staff whom welcome the members and make them feel included. I exceptionally had the most positive experience by signing up for a personal training session with Mohammad. Mo is encouraging, patient, and great at transferring his knowledge . He always put my safety first and guide me through the training sessions, but at the same time push me to challenge myself for a better result. . He made me believe in my abilities as he emphasize in mental state in order to excel in physical strength. I highly recommend Mohammad for anyone who wants to experience personal training sessions and get the most result in a step by step program. I'd like to thank Krista( the fitness manager) for pairing me with this great trainer. I'm more than pleased.

Fantastic experience: I do not think this place deserves a 3.XX rating. I would probably give it a solid 4 stars, no more or less. Am putting 5 stars to try to raise it just a little more. This is the closest GoodLife to Erin Mills so I am thankful that they have a location here at South Common mall so I can go for a quick pump if I am in a rush right before/after work. It is a bit unfortunate with the small confined spaces and only two deadlift/squat platforms. It does get pretty busy during peak hour. The studio is not confined (from what I recall) so I can hear fitness classes blasting their music across the room when there's a class. The cables and its tensioning are a bit odd as the equipment seems much older than the other GoodLife's. Regardless, I am thankful that this GoodLife location exists. Better something than nothing. Though I would only personally only come here for a quick pump day or deload day, there's just enough to get the job done. P.S. Any insight on when there will be a GoodLife in Erin Mills (perhaps in Erin Mills Town Center?) or if the Mississauga Glen Erin and Eglinton For Women will expand to Co-Ed?

Positive experience: Very happy with the gym overall, trainers are great. Need a few more high intensity group fitness classes during the week. Washrooms need a bit more maintenance.

Negative experience: Worst employee. I called. He answers. Hi. I asked what is the cost for a drop in. He doesn't reply for a few seconds. I then say hello?? He says what bro. I asked for his name and doesn't want to give it to me over the phone and hangs up on my face. I CALL back and ask so what Is the price for a 1x drop in He says 28$ Worst attitude I've ever seen at any gym ever.
Positive experience: This is a solid gym that has a good amount of equipment. The cardio machines could be better maintained but not complaining. It’s less busy than the other good life gyms in Mississauga. Staff is friendly and lockers are relatively clean. I did sign up at another location so can’t comment on the registration process.

Negative experience: Was harassed by a worker at this location and had my personal information from my membership exposed. Manager refuses to take action even though there was a clear breach of Goodlife's Privacy Policy. Have to cancel my membership for my own safety and comfort, very disappointing and unfortunate.

Negative experience: Mandatory vaccination is discrimination based on medical status and wrong.

Positive experience: The overall facility is great. The steam room is down and their no time line when it will be operational.
Negative experience: I have been a loyal member of Goodlife for the past 12 years. Just last month I was denied access to the facility because I refused to share my personal medical information. My personal medical information is private between my doctor and I! I spoke with the manager by the name of Lorhen Arauag, she denied my entry and demanded for me to give my private medical information. By doing so she has violated the Federal Privacy Act. Not to mention to deny my entry based on my medical information is discriminatory and against the Human Charter of Rights. I have to say that I'm very disappointed with Goodlife and their discriminatory act. I have since cancelled my membership and I will report this incidence to the Human's Rights Tribunal of Ontario!!!

Negative experience: [2019 Jan] Buyers beware, have your sales person write down any promises before signing. I was promised an assessment and 2 free personal training (PT) sessions - promises which were broken and exaggerated. You have to book the sessions a couple days in advance. I booked my 1st session, but my trainer cancelled a day before the session. I booked a 2nd time with a different trainer, but they cancelled day of the session. Third time I rebooked, they cancelled again day of!! 2 weeks of paid membership time had passed without having been able to go in yet! So I finally complained. Stacey graciously took me on for my starter assessment that night (she's wonderful). After my assessment session, I went to book the PT session, but they took it back saying the assessment *was* a PT session. So I tried to book the 2nd one, and they took that back too, saying the second half of my assessment was that session as well - they said it's the 30min introduction to the quickfix fitness machines. FYI - the assessment was 45 minutes of talking, and 15 minutes of learning how to use the machines and posture work. Neither part was a PT session (but my trainer was very nice - she helped answer all my questions). I'm really hurt by all this. Everyone seemed nice, but all I feel is burnt and unable to trust anyone there. When my year is done I'll be switching to another gym. My family (4 members) were going to be joining me at Goodlife but I'm telling them all to go to One Health club instead.

Fantastic experience: Today I switched over from another gym to Good Life. At the South Common Mall location, i was helped by Abi. I had nothing but the most positive interaction with him. He was extremely helpful with setting up my new membership, helping me figure out my goals, gave me an in-depth tour of the gym, but most importantly he made me feel confident and comfortable that GoodLife was the gym for me. With his friendliness, he truly makes this location a community. Thank you again Abi!

Positive experience: This location needs to add more fitness classes. Pre-covid this location had at least two fitness classes in the morning which was terrific! Now, there is little to choose from as many instructors didn't return to GoodLife after being away for 2 years. The gentleman at the front desk at this location informed me of this. I am looking to join a new health club and will join the one that offers the most classes now. I need a class to motivate me since I haven't worked out for 2 years. This is a large club with a good location however, it needs to focus on adding more fitness classes.
Negative experience: Front desk staff disinterested in dealing with new members, appeared more interested in watching tv and walking with headphones listening to their music. Washrooms very dirty. Late at night sun. Closing around 7 pm. great 2nd floor -dirty rollers.

Fantastic experience: I love going to this gym
Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for 1.5 years and could not say a bad thing about it. The staff is super friendly and helpful; everything is clean and in working order. Only during busy hours will you possibly have to share a machine, but even then it's not that bad. I also have a personal trainer who has completely changed my life. This GoodLife is amazing.

Negative experience: Staff customer service is much better noe than it was a few years ago. I am leaving GoodLife after 16 years because of the price increases. 50 percent change over the past couple years and the corporate membership is now more expensive than a regular membership at LA Fitness. Should be called GreedyLife Fitness

Positive experience: Convenient location in an older mall, nice staff. Good equipment. Not sure if all of the free weigh patrons still expect their mothers to clean up for them, or can't read, or if the staff just don't care to clean up the floor, but all of the free weights are almost always in the wrong spots on the racks. Pretty annoying when I go to pick up a weight from the 17.5 and get a 12.5. Thankfully I can read, but not hard for staff to fix, or patrons to consider others.
Fantastic experience: I've been to almost 20 different locations as I've been using GoodLife for over 4 years . I can agree that this location isn't very spacious and the equipment is not as new as other locations but the greeters here are the friendliest I've ever met so that's why I'm giving 5 stars please give them all raises!

Positive experience: I have worked out at multiple gyms throughout the GTA since 2006 and I had a bad experience at this gym. I was there about a month ago right before closing and there is a section that is supposed to be for personal trainer use with members. I happened to step onto that section and immediately some employee showed up and told me to leave that corner. I told her okay but it is not being used and what's the big fuss. The funny thing is I see Goodlife employees that come on their day off and use that section to workout. This is double standard and completely unfair. The only reason I decided to leave this google review is because I see Goodlife employees come and use that section for their personal use but Goodlife members aren't allowed to use it.
Positive experience: I went to visit and see if it worth the value of the money. I do have a decent discount from my association. No swimming pool, fewer equipment compared to others, and not spacious. I'm talking about this location only never been to other locations.

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent location with lots of parking. Next to big box , grocery stores, banks and eating places. The gym is big and on 2 floors. Lots of equipment. You don't have to wait here for you machine. Staff is friendly. Washwròms and change areas are big with lots of lockers and clean. Much better than other Goodlife locations that are always crowded.

Positive experience: I’ve been going to this Goodlife since Goodlife was first came into Ontario I guess so that must be going on 12 to 14 years and you’re right a lot of the equipment has not changed it is the original equipment. They changed a couple here and there which wasn’t many lakes some of the ellipticals but not much has changed the treadmills are all the same they don’t have the air vents there’s some other leg and hamstring machinery that could be added.I know that I’ve visited my sister’s a good life in Orangeville and they have some amazing equipment all high-tech stuff they do need to add some more workout benches as well since there’s only a few and they’re always taken.
Negative experience: Most of the staff r good folks! The place itself is not being cleaned properly? People r still coming in off the streets and going to the machines, with there coats and some times with there winter boots on and exercising? (Health concerns) and as usual only approx 10% wipe before and after using the machines? Once again (health concerns) thank you!

Fantastic experience: I had never had, nor needed, any personal training before I signed up at Goodlife. One day I got a free session from a personal trainer and he sold me contract that was 18 sessions. It was fairly lack lustre in terms of what I wanted from it. There were many cancellations throughout my training by my trainer so I ended up losing out on 4 sessions I had paid for. Then I met Zakk Dodge, another personal trainer at Goodlife who gave me sessions to help make up for the ones my last trainer had cancelled. At this point 4 of the workouts he did with me were better than the 14 I did with the last trainer so I signed up with him for 18 more sessions. And I have to say, it was the best decision of my life. I lost 15 pounds in the first 3 weeks some how when training with him and now 1 month after I’m still continuing on my own and have seen drastic results from the foundation Zakk had started with me. I recommend training with him, he is an excellent trainer and will talk to you via text or phone if you have any questions when you’re training with him.

Fantastic experience: I have been a GoodLife member for years and have toyed with the idea of getting personal training but always talked myself out of it because it was never ‘the right time’. Although I attended free classes and signed up for the occasional group sessions, I still felt like I had no idea what I was doing when it came to proper weight training and naturally stuck to cardio because it’s what I felt comfortable doing on my own. After seeing pictures of myself on my last vacation (terrifying by the way...), I decided to finally do something about it and to invest in my health for once. I signed up for a 7-session trial run, was assigned to Zakk that day and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. I knew from the very first session that I was going to be signing up with him long term and that’s exactly what I did. He’s easy to talk to, ridiculously friendly, approachable, makes himself available to his clients and took the time to tailor a plan that fits my needs/goals which actually works for me. It has only been about 2 months and I have never felt better! I’m fitting into clothes that I purchased years ago as my “This would look great if I just lost a few more pounds” clothing (but that never actually fit properly) for the first time! I can’t recommend Zakk enough to anyone looking for personal training! The only thing I regret is not having started sessions with him earlier.
Fantastic experience: I am really pleased with the way the staff are keeping the gym. The entire gym is clean, the floors are spotless and so are the equipments. A shout out to the staff member who cleans the equipments. The entire staff are friendly and hospitable. Something you don't see often .

Fantastic experience: This club is fantastic! It has been a while I go to this gym and the best group class is RPM on Tuesdays at 12:00. The instructor is Rash Makki. She is passionate, caring, energetic and fun. She cares about everybody getting a good workout. She keeps checking about the correct way people do their exercise.She is helpful and friendly! Keep up the good work Rasha! so pleased with this class and instructor!

Fantastic experience: I like this place, although it doesn’t have the latest type of gym equipment & swimming pool comparing to the goodlife at heartland town but it not over crowded which makes doing exercise easy.

Negative experience: I shouldn't give any stars i sign up for a member at this location and they charge me more than what I'm supposed to pay I talked to them the one who signed me in did not want to talk to me send me someone else was her mistake but in the end I have to pay no refund and not even try to fix her mistake just be careful when you sign up make sure not to trust the sale person

Positive experience: Best services, quite expensive as compute other competitors, payment system is bit tricky, in case you want to stop subscription you need to provide 1 month advance notice.
Positive experience: Great gym good location.. my only problem is the douchey staff.. which costs this location 1 star
Negative experience: Way to expensive for what they offer. They wanted almost $1,000 a month for a personal trainer for a 17 year old.
