Negative experience: I really wanted to give thia place a chance because there arent many local places and driving to the big commercial gyms are inconvenient to drive to Tldr; Not worth the $$$, could be cleanier, hut staff are nice Cons: -Equipment is dated. While they have a couple newer machines, specifically cardio ones, a lot of the equipment is dated and shows heaby sign of use (clunking and odd sounds) - Cleansiness & esthetics - place looks like it could have ysed a new paint job yester-year. Dusty fans, walls full of knicks and heavy signs of usage. The lockers are all beat up and while thats no fault of the owners, some are so deformed they defeat the purpose of a locker - to keep your stuff safe/private. And oh yeah, throw in an extra 10-15 minutes if you plan on wiping your equipment down after use because between finding a paper towel dispensener that isnt empty and a spray bottle that actually works, youll burn into some of your scheduled time - Inefficiencies- has been occassions where i have been in here, on 30+ degree, days with no AC or good air circulation. There have also been days where the ONLY water cooler/fountain was inoperable and they had to place plyers in order to access water until "repairs could be made" .. personally i find to be borderline safety concerns considering people exercise here and need access to water and decent air circulation - Bathroom & shower :Theres only one bathroom stall .. and not its not very private, immediately upon entering the change room. Theres only one shower. So you better hope no ones using either if you need - the PRICE - unless theres some sort of special youre esaentially paying identical to what the popular big commericial gyms cost, with none of the amenities. And that wiuld be an easier pill to swallow, if all pf the above-noted things werent the case. You can get away with not jabkmg a sauna or tanning beds, no problem, i for one dont even use those often but when you have things loke one water fountain that goes or broken down lockers, etc - charging that much is criminal. **full dislosure - I am male so i can't speak for how the female bathrooms/lockers/etc. are in comparison Pros: - The staff is actually friendly, kind, and informative so it actually pains me to write thsi review - Machines are almost always functional - Close drive if you're local - This gym inspired me to do more home workouts (convenient) and start building my own home gym

Positive experience: Great selection of machines, free weights & usually not terribly busy. Friday-Sunday is quiet. Friendly staff. Not very comfortable in the summer. If there is AC they’re afraid to turn it on which is disappointing considering the cost of membership & how hot it gets when busy. The windows are literally sweating.

Fantastic experience: Great place and the staff is so friendly. Machines are clean and well kept! Classes are included which is a huge bonus. Highly recommend if you want a gym with all the bits and bobs you need. People are respectful too but you may avoid after school hours for peak busy, otherwise it’s nice and quiet. Sad to leave here!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, huge selection of equipment and free weights with an exercise room for stretching, cardio, and classes. The memberships are very reasonably priced, and as a member, you get 24/7 fob access. It really can't be beat for convenience, location, equipment and price. It's about half the price of a Goodlife basic membership.

Positive experience: A bit small, sometimes the Wipes for the machines are out but there a few holders on the wall so usually one of them are full. Staff has always been helpful and kind. Shout out to Skye for being so welcoming! Would be 5 stars but I feel awkward when the the covers for the Wipes fall off and I have to pick it up. The whole place is always clean and the exercise room is fairly roomy

Fantastic experience: Andy was super nice and helpful when opening my account. Gym is fairly clean and has wipes everywhere. Wish there were more squat racks and kettlebells and an assisted pull up machine but other than that everything else is great. So far I’m really enjoying it!

Positive experience: Needs New Machines, Squat racks are old both of them probably 7+ years old. Lack of Cable Machines. I've been to many private gym's that charges the same amount and usually private gym's edge are their machines compared to bigger franchise gym. This gym doesn't hit that spot. Verdict, the price you pay is a little over priced for the equipment they offer.

Nice facelift, new machines and completely updated room for classes Original review: 24 hours, good selection of equipment. Even at peak times you usually have a solid selection of machines. Side room is taken up by classes sometimes.

Negative experience: Recently my friend was harassed by an older member at this gym. After being cussed out by the older gentleman (who has yelled and harassed younger members plenty of times in the past) my friend was banned from the gym! This was all because my friend (who is a gentle giant) was acting too intimidating lifting heavy weights and apparently was making too much noise. After no kind approach by the staff or older gentleman he was banned. Him and I have been at that gym for 6 years and this isn't the first time members have had issues under similar circumstances. In my opinion this was an act of discrimination against young strength athletes. I will be cancelling my membership as well as my family and friends unless an apology is made and my friend is no longer banned. NRG used to be a great gym for young strength oriented individuals.

Positive experience: I really like this gym, but there are a few things that keep me from giving a 5 star. Most of the tread mills are broken in some way and the change rooms could be cleaner. Other than that, it's never busy when I go, open 24/7, staff is friendly and has all equipment I could ask for!

Fantastic experience: Been going to NRG for five years now.The gym has a good vibe to it. Im a big fan of the steel plates and dumbells that give the gym a classic gym feel. NRG has a good variety of machines and cardio area. The segrated room is great for stretching in a quite, private place. The staff is friendly and can help you with most if not all questions you have. The gym has its flaws but they are minor and over all this is a solid gym.
