Negative experience: I’ve been a member at GoodLife for years, and I’m genuinely shocked by how much this location has declined. The gym’s cleanliness in the afternoons is absolutely disgusting, yet multiple staff are often standing around at the front doing nothing. Members are rarely greeted, and there is a clear lack of effort or accountability. The assistant general manager Gameli’s behaviour is outright embarrassing and completely unprofessional he dribbles a soccer ball with his feet and hands around the gym like it’s a playground !!! Is Too busy flirting with the female workers rather then doing his job speaks to members with a rude, dismissive attitude whenever asked a question like it’s the end of the world What kind of professionalism and customer service is that !!??? Who even decided to hired him it’s baffling how someone like this was hired into management. To make matters worse, the General Manager is never available when I ask to speak with her. This gym is poorly run from top to bottom. From cleanliness to management, and professionalism the standards have completely collapsed, and it somehow gets worse every single day.

Negative experience: My son, who is 15 years old and I went into Goodlife (Georgetown) to get information on a corporate membership for him. It was suppose to be one of his Christmas gifts! The employee was very polite and courteous but had a hard time signing me up with my corporate deal. He showed my son and I where to sign up at home and stated numerous times that prices would not go up until after December 31st 2025. We had a few days to think about it and sign up at home- Great, except a few days later (December 23rd) I went onto their website and the corporate price had now gone up. It was not a major price increase but nevertheless, we were not expecting any increase as stated by their employee. I called and dealt with an assistant manager at this location, who got back to me a few days later and stated that, prices had unfortunately gone up and he could not do or change anything about that. This left a bad taste with both my son and I, as it's just NOT right! Some gyms have bad reputation for not being honest or hardships with fees and cancelations and this unfortunately is another example of it! Its the principle of things and we gave them an opportunity to fix it to no avail!

Negative experience: Very disappointed to learn that this location is not open 24 hours every day. That is the whole reason I have decided to use my money towards this gym. I moved from another town and I assumed every GoodLife location is open 24 hours because that is their entire marketing scheme. Very discontented that I cannot workout at my select gym at the most reasonable time for myself. I will not be continuing my membership and will not recommend this location to anyone I know.

Negative experience: I’ve never been in a gym before that had a consistent smell of feet and cheese the entire time I was in there. Georgetown really needs a second or bigger GoodLife. They can’t keep up with cleaning after the number of people that use this one gym. So dirty and smelly and machines are greasy with body oil and sweat. How hard would it be to have an employee just walking around cleaning machines that aren’t in use? This is pretty common in other gyms, why can’t they atleast have one employee walking around with a cloth and cleaning spray instead of three people behind the counter doing nothing? They barely even greet…

Negative experience: Gym is now way too small for the population and the sauna has been broken for a long time. The place is pretty dingy. I had asked to put my daughters’ memberships on freeze and continued to be charged. Overall really not very happy with the experience and really unhappy to have been charged when memberships were supposed to be placed on freeze.

Negative experience: The sauna has been broken for over a month and still nobody has fixed it. Every time I ask the staff, they either give vague answers or no update at all. If you advertise a sauna as part of the membership, at least take responsibility and maintain it. Paying full price for half the facilities is unacceptable. This gym seriously needs to improve communication and actually follow through on repairs.

Negative experience: Sauna has been broken on and off for the past three months. When I asked to speak to a manager I told she was unavailable on MULTIPLE separate occasions. Where is she? This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had such a great experience at GoodLife Fitness in Georgetown, ON! The gym is always clean, well-equipped, and has a welcoming atmosphere. Negative experience: The showers at GoodLife Georgetown are the dirtiest I’ve ever seen at any gym. Gum stuck to the walls for weeks, hair everywhere, dust and grime on every surface, mold, and even bugs. It’s clear they’re never cleaned. I’ve complained multiple times, yet nothing ever gets done. One time I even left my gum in there just to see how long it would stay, and it was still there weeks later. That’s how bad the cleaning situation is. And it’s not just the showers. The machines are disgusting too, covered in dust and hair like they haven’t been cleaned in months… or ever. Are your staff too lazy to clean, or just too busy flirting with members to do their jobs? Whatever the case, fire them and use that money to hire professional cleaners. You don’t need five people behind the front desk who can’t even manage a hello or goodbye when members come or go. I do need to mention that the male staff are fine — they’re polite and professional. But the three or four women at the front have never once greeted me. Not once. Why keep them if they’re doing nothing? Fire the deadweight, keep the capable people, and use the leftover budget to hire weekly professional cleaners. I’ll be filing a complaint with head office because this location clearly doesn’t care about hygiene or member experience. GoodLife, clean your showers and your gym. It’s shameful, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. And to the female staff, spend less time flirting with members and more time doing your jobs.

Negative experience: I just wanna say my experience at GoodLife was not great I got treated poorly by staff members they would just laugh at my profile picture whenever I came in and I just got scammed multiple times by them they charged me $190 for the enrolment fee. They’re were some good employees when I first came to good life and one time they’re was 2 guys standing too close to me when I was in the dumbbell section waiting for the bench and one of the employees stepped in asked them to back up and give me some space which was nice however the new employees that are working at the front desk don’t give a shit about any of that and are disrespectful and mean also good luck getting a job here when you apply at the front desk they don’t take it seriously.

Negative experience: I've been going to this gym for over two and a half years and I don't usually like posting this stuff but it's really getting on my nerves. Is it a Georgetown thing to just throw aside weight plates and dumbbells instead of picking and placing them respectfully? I get that inconsiderate people leave their equipment behind every now and then and it is frustrating that it's someone else's problem to move it but can't we just be the bigger person? I literally see this one member THROWING a 70 lb curlbar and 45 lb plates aside, some literally landing inches away from me in the next rack over. And what do the staff do? NOTHING. Heck, I even saw one staff member this past day literally doing the same thing. Like if you despise moving plates and dumbbells around maybe get a different job, it's disrespectful to people around them trying to concentrate on their sets. All it takes is being startled during a bench set and boom you could lose your balance and break your nose (it almost happened today, that's why I mention it). If your going to post rules at your gym, ENFORCE THEM. Quit acting like all is well and dandy when members are being made uncomfortable by this kind of conduct. I might start making the hike to Milton or Acton to avoid this ridiculous behaviour.

Fantastic experience: I love working out here very chill and clean gym and always clean. And bathrooms are very clean. Massage chairs were my favorite just for like 10 or 15 minutes then I'm done and off to a machine to do exercise. Very not busy at some times but go when it is nice and quiet

Positive experience: Good gym, could benefit from expansion and having boxing material. I rate 3 starts because the gym is NOT 24/7. And they close pretty early on from Fri-Sun; like 7/8p. Would be great to even keep open until midnight.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to this GoodLife location since 2022 and it is my home gym. The staff here are amazing always friendly, welcoming, and professional. I’ve honestly never had a single issue since joining, which says a lot. It’s a smaller location, but that’s part of what makes it great. There’s a real sense of community, and it’s always nice seeing familiar faces, both staff and members. The atmosphere is respectful, positive, and supportive. I also regularly attend the BodyPump classes, and I highly recommend them. The instructors are amazing motivating, energetic, and professional. Honestly, all of the classes offered here are excellent, and the instructors truly care about what they do. They create a great environment that keeps you coming back. I come here often, and every visit is a positive experience. Clean facility, great people, and a strong community feel. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a gym that’s well run, friendly, and consistent. I’m also gonna add a review that I posted before at this gym but because of Google, you can only post one review per location. “Today I attended my first ever BodyPump class at the Georgetown GoodLife, and it was an amazing experience! Isabelle, the instructor, was fantastic energetic, supportive, and welcoming. She helped me get set up since I was new and even came over after the class to check in and see how I felt. The energy in the room was great, and the crowd was friendly and motivating. I'm really looking forward to attending more classes. Positive experience: I went from Brampton to Goodlife georgetown, machine in Georgetown where not upto the mark and handles of machines were sticky(glue). It seems like its not a goodlife need alot of improvements compared to brampton. Activity room was not with enough light seems like u are religious place.

Negative experience: Asked for the Playoff game to be put on. Three staff members standing behind the counter and I was told that they don’t have access because they can’t find the remote. They offered for me to look around and “if” I find it, channel can be changed. Not the best customer service.

Negative experience: I like the staff BUT why is that I’ve had my membership for over 2 years and 1 of the best cardio machines only has 3 machines and 1 is always broken and has never been fixed or better replaced. It’s actually really embarrassing. Then only 1/3 is actually functioning the best and thus the most used.

Positive experience: Wanted to go early today because when we go in even 2 hours after open there are absolutely no treadmills available. Waited in the parking lot for an hour and still not open. No sign on the door, nothing, just a whole lot of people waiting in the parking lot wondering what’s going on. This club used to be great.

Negative experience: I worked out here from 2015-2023. Ever since then, it’s almost like it’s done a 360 of stuff….Backwards. I had a few problems with this gym before then, but they always got solved & the staff never made me feel dumb for anything. The staff back then were amazing, the staff now are rude. I went in to cancel my account as of recent. Again… I noticed I was still getting charged even after asking to cancel it back in 2023, as I workout at another gym where I’m employed & I got told from an older gentleman (maybe 60’s) to come another day because no one is around. I came back a week later when I had time, no one was at the front for a solid 20 minutes…. Then it seemed like I was a problem asking for my membership to be canceled, fully this time. They were talking like they were begging me to just freeze & not cancel like they’re money hungry. I stated “I’m working at another gym, I have a free membership. No thank you.” I then got ignored until they told me “done, you’re canceled goodbye.” This isn’t very professional if you ask me. In person too. It’s also always a bloody mess now everywhere when before it was so clean & well maintained. It’s now messy everywhere & the showers have mold. I miss the GoodLife a few years back. I hope things improve soon!

Negative experience: Update: March 2025 The manager called me in January and made a promised that the appropriate sign was ordered regarding my concerns for privacy in the mens shower and sauna. It is now March and there is still no sign. This is very disappointing. Not to mention, the old and sometimes moldy showers have not been addressed by this location. At this point, municipal health and safety should intervene. For this reason, I have downgraded this rating. Staff here are amazing and helpful, always appreciated their service. However, men's change room could improve and showers are old. Also, there needs to be proper etiquette in the dry sauna, ie. Indian men are fully clothed with shoes and playing loud music in the sauna. This makes other clients very uncomfortable.

Although they may be as deeply fried as a woodchuck on some occurrences… they always find out the answer to how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood because they themselves are also woodchucks. Fantastic experience: This week, I decided to try an RPM cycling class at this location, and I was genuinely impressed! Not only was the instructor fantastic and the studio spotless, but they even brought freshly cleaned, still-warm towels directly to each cyclist.

Negative experience: The staff have no control. The rules are hardly enforceable at best. There are cliques at various times. You won’t find space between 5 and 7 most weekdays. It’s not 24/7, it’s 24/4, then 3 x 7 - 9. It gets the stars it gets for the fact it has equipment. Really frustrating to see a building with the traffic flow like this yet 0 effort to contain, manage or regulate. It’s an adult daycare that’s understaffed. I don’t even blame the teenagers in charge of this place, how do you expect them to keep order when the people there managing are twice there age at times…. I feel sorry for the people who have to struggle through this environment randomly through the week like myself trying to attain some actual kind of body goals. The rest of you using this like a Starbucks, a personal gym or place to chill, sincerely, you need to just buckle down, get your work in and get out or just don’t come at all. The amount do times I need to clear a crowd to WALK through this place is insane. You would think I was at a bar.

Negative experience: I tried coming here twice and left quickly after both times. Too much money for services you get and they continue to increase the memberships and provide less services?? The equipment that’s broken takes MONTHS to get repaired if lucky, they didn’t even have AC when I went. Georgetown GoodLife is also a small gym, so when they let outsiders use it to avoid their busy gyms from their cities, they’re making our gym busy and dirty. You can be waiting up to an hour to use a piece of equipment. fully naked men sit in the SAUNA and people use the change room floors as a public bathroom and staff does nothing about it. Would not renew my membership here. The owner is clearly very cheap. You shouldn’t be charging more when you know the quality and services are shrinking.

Negative experience: This Good Life Centre should be shut down for good. The worst Good life center. Smallest GoodLife Gym. They have no other extra facilities apart from a Sauna and the sauna has stopped working since 2 weeks. They are not even bothered to fix the broken sauna, instead they have put a signboard saying sauna has broken due to member misuse. How can they even put the blame on the members, do they have the evidence ? It could be that it was broken due to no maintenance. They are just false advertising saying it is 24 hours and they are not open 24 hours from Friday to Sunday. They are exploiting the members silence to their convenience. This is the biggest scam advertisement I have seen. On Saturdays they close at 8:30 and they shut down the lights at 8:15 P.M. One day I tripped in the washroom since it was so dark. There is a big sign board saying 24 hours and they are not 24 hours. I don't have understand how they can fool people and no members are bothered to raise their voice. Good Life Georgetown is a big rip off. Other Good Life centers are 5 times bigger than this with many other facilites. A kind request to the management. Please give the service for which the members pay for. Shut this down and open a bigger one similar to other centres with more facilities and 24 hours or atleast provide the facilities as advertised instead of blaming the members. Customers should be treated respectfully and not like a dirt to put the blame on.

Positive experience: Its a good location with nice and clean washrooms and good customer service. Cons: Its not too big in size as compared to other locations i visit but still have most of equipments. So all good if you travel a lot and want to squeeze in a quick workout with a nice bath and spa after.

Fantastic experience: The staff is always friendly and courteous. The main areas and change rooms are always clean. The paper towels and cleaning solutions are quickly replenished. The equipment is well maintained and if anything becomes broken it's fixed. Basically everything but putting in your own work has been taken care of. No complaints! Negative experience: Dirty... Came here to get away from feeling like being in a state of Punjab to hopefully have more of a mixed crowd rather than just a certain type of people but was disappointed how dirty the gym was. Showers were horrendous, shower heads were broken, water was not hot, and the changing area was dirty. Treadmills were so dated and old. One of the 2 massage chairs was out of service.
Positive experience: Great Gym and Staff. Cleaner than most gyms. Only complaint and it's probably common. A few Ego individuals that ruin it for everyone else.

Fantastic experience: Came in to visit the Georgetown GoodLife to inquire about membership last week. Noticed an employee outside while it was snowing in the cold weather salting the front entrance, especially the handicapped area. Name tag read Michael, gave him a thumbs up. These are the kinds of people that care not just about the inside of the gym, but also for the safety of everyone. Fantastic experience: I been an active member of good life fitness for 9 years…and I never been approached. By anybody of the staff to help. Until I met MICHAEL…he is always there helping me that I don’t get hurt when I am working out… always ready to go extra mile to teach me proper way of executing the lifting or any other work out .,.and also how to get faster results….I am so grateful that this place have staff like my friend Michael … he is always pleasant, and does his job with pride and professionalism

Positive experience: The gym itself is well designed and has an abundance of machines/free weights, although it is a smaller facility and recently it has become so crowded that it is nearly impossible to complete a workout. I think for safety reasons on their own the gym needs a maximum capacity that allows members to workout without being shoulder to shoulder with other members. Each member pays a significant amount of money to be in the gym, and it is disappointing we cannot get our moneys worth. This is definitely an issue that is only going to get worse with the population of Georgetown rapidly growing and I hope Goodlife is able to implement changes soon rather than later.

Fantastic experience: For about 10 years I've been going to this gym. Staff is always really great, place is clean. I like the sauna and just overall good vibes. The studios are well maintained and the personal trainers never feel overbearing or rude. The machines are recently updated which is really nice too. Tommy is a great manager too and consistently say hi to new people and regulars. All in all a great gym.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for a while now and have always enjoyed the gym as a whole. However the gym has made recent changes to make it even better! With the new machines in the gym it really helps out on peak hours. With already great staff, awesome management and now new machines this gym is the go to place.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic location. Clean & has all the equipment you need, they always have a myriad amount of towels ready for you at all times of the day. I wanted to give a special notice to their front desk employee Micheal with the tattoos. I recently forgot my air pod head phones, when I spoke with him he was very professional & reassuring that they are being held in a safe place. When I went to pick them up they were ready & he was enthusiastic & authenticly positive throughout our interaction. In extension thank you to the lady who works during the day who was also helping me out & called me back to notify they've found them, they looked twice. Employees like this make a business and creates a welcoming experience for members. I also observe the gym during wait times in between sets and I noticed Micheal is constantly working, cleaning & going back and forth assisting front desk and welcoming members. I respect the work ethic & energy he brings to this location.

Negative experience: Gym staff are nice, save for a few characters that seem to just be there to look busy. Gym is much too small for the amount of people. Also, there's whole lot of wannabe power lifter kids at the gym that take 7 minute rests to hit one rep and then go talk to their friends for another 10 min all they while they're just hogging the equipment and telling people they got 8 more sets of this bull; some of us just want to work out and leave.

Fantastic experience: GoodLife Fitness Georgetown Sinclair and Guelph is a very welcoming, clean, and organized Gym. It is evident that this location is managed with effectiveness as all the staff are friendly and have a strong sense of passion for fitness, coupled with desire to make a difference in people’s lives! I have had the privilege of working out at this facility throughout most of my youth and into my early and mid 20s, and have never had a negative experience. I strongly recommend going to Goodlife Fitness Georgetown Sinclair and Guelph if you have not yet had the opportunity to do so!!

Negative experience: I'm coming from Movati in Mississauga because I moved to the area. I can't believe they are charging MORE then what I paid at Movati.. Staff are friendly and gym is clean, but the prices they charge are absolutey horrendous. Close to 40/biweekly for a small gym and kids running around everywhere- this is after bargening the payment down. I cant believe Goodlife as a corporation has the audacity to charge what they charge and provide such trash equiptment and enviorment. This location is the exact same as Fit4Less and charging 6 times more. I know there are some good Goodlife locations out there, those should be the locations you pay more at- When you have a small gym with old equiptment, prices should vary depending on the level of equiptment at the gym. DO BETTER GOOD LIFE

Positive experience: Friendly staff, lots of equipment for whatever you're into. I especially like the rowing machine. There's a blood pressure machine along with sauna, tanning bed and booth and they also offer chiropractic treatment. I like the massage chairs and the latest inclusion of free wifi is much appreciated! August 2023 update Ever since covid, the facility has gone downhill in cleanliness and equipment upkeeping. The cleaning staff is no more and now it's the responsibility of the staff. They do their best but cleanliness has really deteriorated. It's disappointing when so many machines are out of service and this may be due to the fact that the teens abuse the equipment as I have witnessed it several times yet the staff says/does nothing.

Negative experience: This Gym used to be a fantastic location but now that it’s not longer 24hrs and the members far out number the amount of equipment it’s become something along the lines of a sweat shop where working out takes 3-4 hours because you have to wait for equipment . I pay for a 24hr gym so why does it close on Friday Saturday and Sunday ? The only days I’d consider going late they’re closed. Such a disappointment

Negative experience: Disappointed in the Georgetown gym. Often very busy with members hogging one or two machines. You know the type … throw a towel over the seat and walk away for 20 minutes, sit and do nothing while reading your phone for 15, place your water bottle nearby to “claim” your machine before disappearing. Offer some sort of PSA on gym etiquette and courtesy.

Negative experience: dirty, dirty and even more dirty. Pretty sure Health department would have a hey day with the sweat stains and grime. Ants in the fitness class area, 6 treadmills with red tape around them. What happened to this place. The teen program is a disaster, breaking equipment, playing on them like its a toy.

Fantastic experience: EDIT: BEAWARE of Thieves I have been coming here for a while now, I have heard members complaining about stuff. But never I have heard that someone got their shoes stolen. Today, I lost my fairly new pair of shoes. Some low life steals it. So I would highly recommend to keep your expensive stuff even shoes in the locker. A gem of fitness excellence! Lovely staff, top-notch facilities, and exceptional service. Clean and well-maintained with state-of-the-art equipment. Diverse fitness classes, skilled instructors and a welcoming community. Reasonable membership fees. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Sarah helped me with trying a class and signing up, she is super friendly and helpful with any questions I have. All other staff were very friendly as well. I tried The body combat class, it is fun and great workout, Christine is great instructor. Class space is very spacious, many parking available. Only thing is I wish they will have more classes available, like zumba and more class time slots in the afternoon/evenings

Negative experience: Reply to owner… I curious … . Firstly, Your fitness machines have feet that they will walk up to my child sitting in my lap. Secondly, if you are so sincere about safety then create proper seating for such parents instead of asking them to sit at the gym’s entrance door. Thirdly, what about my right to watch my minor training on your gym floor? You have no right to ask parent to leave the training minor in your gym and sit outside with their small child. Your policy is pathetic and Ned’s change. I will never come to GoodLife fitness again . Instructor for my minor son is gr8 and I was happy until they asked me to get out of the gym just because I have another child with me. Attention!!!!parents , if you bring your minor kid to this gym for training, then don’t plan to bring your second young child inside the gym . Even if your child is with you the whole gym time. They won’t allow you inside the gym because it’s safety isssue ? Question: if parent sits with child and watch their kid exercise on gym floor with another little kids in parent lap !!! What’s wrong with that??? It is not safety issue because responsible parent is sitting with their little kid the whole time and watching other on the floor. Yes, Child left alone wandering , that is safety issue but that was not the case with my scenario. I bring my minor son here and along comes my daughter who is 7. The whole time she stays in the chair with me and doesn’t even walk around the floor but the gym manager came to me and outcasted us both from the gym. I had to leave my minor son on the gym floor where I couldn’t keep an eye on him and I had to sit outside with my little daughter just because they don’t allow little kids in. I felt insulted, disappointed, and of course my son on gym floor nervous since his parent was missing. Everyone going in and out of gym looking at us weirdly, so insulting. I hate this place and management. Spoke to manager and he didn’t do anything about it.

Fantastic experience: Coming from Mcglaughlin Goodlife these location has a way better atmosphere and more respectful gym members. Yes it's not the biggest but overall has what everyone that goes to a gym needs. The staff is very polite and always greets there guests with smile. Even though it's smaller and has fewer machines coming from the Mcglaughlin location that is massive just overall these location is much more relaxed and doesn't feel as chaotic even on there busy times.
